    The Beatles are so legendary that they made a compilation of their whole #1 hits! If other artists did it, it'd be an EP or just a short album.

    You can see how even the Beatles' music was profoundly changed after JFK died. Before 1964, their songs are basically 1950's catchy tunes who happen to be a bit heavier

    I think the evolution is even clearer if you get into more of their "deep cuts". Show Revolution 9 to someone from 1963 and tell them it's by the same band that released "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
