@@nutnuttty I've been watching since your Gawblin Dark Souls run! It's the same for all of us that's why it's "enjoyable" It's a case of "I'm not the only one who went through this" and in the end we're all brothers on this journey! Don't you dare go Hollow!
Ah, the Iron Keep... good times. It's hard enough offline, but the bridge approaching it and Belfry Sol are the most actively invaded spots by players in this area. At least from my experience all the way to NG+4. There's always people looking for a fight. It was hell during the first run, but I gotta admit, actually going back to do PVP with random people was fun on that bridge. Don't forget about your Black Separation Crystal btw. That's the ethical way to get rid of an NPC summon.
@@nutnuttty I wouldn't know how it was, sadly. I was late to the Souls train too. Had to be incredibly active considering that even now, DS2 Scholar of the First Sin PVP is still reasonably healthy despite it not only being old, but also being considered the black sheep of the series. From my own experience over the past several months playing through FromSoftware's games tho, I'd say DS1 still has the most active PVP among all three games, with DS3 having just a few areas that are active for people grinding covenants. Co-op seems biggest with Elden Ring, of course, especially with the Seamless Co-op mod. And Sekiro, while it doesn't have co-op or PVP, does have a lotta people still playing to leave either helpful or funny messages.
The waste of Effigies had me cry laughing 😂 Good fights vs the bosses :) the video was a great watch. The Foloren are a group of women warriors that has been experimented on by Alida. You can buy their gear from the boss weapon vendor in the Lost Bastille, the pieces goes up for sale after killing them a bunch of times. 19:03 at the end of the Bell Keeper area, after going down the stairs and out onto the hallway where you can see the normal Iron keep again is a illusionary wall, it has some really good loot. 20:07 did you climb the stairs ? it is kinda important for later ;) The Pursuer that shows up in the smelter demons arena drops a really good ring. And the chests and items down in the lava are not worth the trouble imo.
THAT AREA YOU VISITED AFTER DEFEATING THE OLD IRON KING, (if I’m not mistaken cause I didn’t have all dlcs) IS A DLC AREA, so it should be a place you should visit moments before beating the game
bro, why do you keep restoring your humanity just to die again... why not clear all the bad guys first, then use the effigy? edit: I pushed pause at 8:30 to comment this. Guess you figured it out at 8:40. You're killing me lol. That's Gawblinette for you ig.
Smelter Demon is actually one of the hardest bosses in the game, especially while playing without weapon that does strike damage. Also bc it's hard to heal while fighing him and he does passive fire damage when you're close to him.
Yes in order to traverse the ember walkways in the iron keep, you need to increase your fire resistance to the max, the tall urns are filled with water and make the most difference. But incorporate the gear you wear, rings, the water urns and flash sweat, it will make it so easy. But be quick, it lasts briefly and won’t linger too long. I can’t wait for drangleic Castle.
•whats the song at the ending? •the strange shrine you found after the old iron king is 1 of 3 DLC areas, the key is in the forest of giants, you need a guide for the keys. •you can get the items from the chests on magma by increasing your fire resistance until 900 points, you can use the pharros magic water, deep sweat (spell), armor, rings and consumables, all stack up and are compatible, the items inside the chests are not really worth it, they are pyromancy spells. •since you can you should be using the maces in power stance, dark souls 2 has double the enemies so you should double the damage.
congratulations on beating lava boy congratulations on beating up the prowler (double katana guy)--I usually go there to farm him for his armor, but it takes forever Nah Dennis is a different blue swordsman--you'll see him again someday The forlorn is actually female! She's like the pursuer, so you'll see her and her sibling around as you progress You'll reach an area full of lockstone surprises soon!
Iron keep is unironically my favorite area in the base game other than the shrine and that's much later. Its much better on the original version IMO. But scholar is still great too. Especially once you learn how to handle it effectively, or if you don't want to, you can still just run through to the optional boss or skip it. Anyone who says you can't just doesn't know how to kite enemies. You're also two shotting so you're good.
Also the chests in Iron keep that are in the lava (iirc there's two plus some random items laying I think) you can either get by using a pyromancy that reduces your fire damage, orange burs that do the same, and the fire damage reduction ring. Also you can use some scattered pharros lockstones that fill up with water that you can roll in or the weird bullhead cup looking things which you can also break that are filled with water for fire reduction. I will say, be careful for using pharros stones unless you intend to play again. You can technically grind for them, but a lot of them are traps, trolls or nothing. The other area at the end is one of 3 DLCs
wish I could have been the first like but I will settle for being the 43rd. the worst is yet to come, stay up king oh btw about the fire chests, there are breakable pots all over iron keep that are filled with water. you need to roll into them to get the water status effect, it reduces fire damage by like 10x lol also guts' greatsword was so strong because he has the stats to wield it one handed, it's 1h moveset is crazy
Fencer Sharon weapon is a segmented sword some attacks are like a sword, others are like a whip, you can get it in a hidden chest on sunken King DLC(you need to press some buttons with arrows to find it) The other weapon is a sword that can throw spider web, is a boss weapon
I don't know anything about Forlorn, other than the fact that he's the guy on the cover with the hood, and that you can buy that armor from Straidd if you kill him enough times. I think it's 4.
the chests in the lava only really good for pyromancers, you really want to go get that pursuer in the smelter demon boss room tho, it gives you ring of blades +1
@@nutnuttty if you really want them chests, you need a pyromancy called flash sweat, you get it from the lady in majula, you also want fire resistance ring, and your best fire res armour, you pop a life gem or two and run, fully commit to it, pop another life gem or drink a flask to out heal
