Yea I have the 24’ Activ and I’m surprised at how deep and throaty the 3 cylinder engine sounds. Of course I wish it had more horsepower but it gets me from point A to point B I’m not drag racing I can deal with it
I have one as a daily and can only say good things about it. It’s got the space to do whatever and at 5’10” I can lay down back there with the seats down. Not fast but decent for how small an engine. Great gas mileage and cheap to fill on top of that, 35 fills me up with prices at $4. Chevy gave a lifetime warranty on engine transmission and drivetrain and for the price it was cheaper than many used cars actually. The colors it’s available in are new for people to see on base model cars other than black silver white, the blue I have makes people look. And all the models are really the same car minus cosmetic pieces here and there
@user-wm3fc1sk1p *No, sir. The firing order and 60 degree angle of V6 engines compared to in-line triple cylinders DOES NOT translate to 4s and V8s, which sound MUCH different.* *_Your good sarcasm is noted._* 🙂
I agree, That would’ve really taken full advantage of the platform. Maybe even a plug in hybrid model? This thing needs 80 more horsepower to compete with other small performance crossovers.
All stupid comments about this 25k Trax are made by persons with their wish car of 50k in mind. If, if, if. If it will have 200 horsepower, it will have a different name and price too. Is TO FAST for what you need a car. Fun and silliness are not included
I counted about 9 seconds. This would be considered quite fast in 1985 and people got on ramps and merged just fine then. Watch some old moto week metro. "the1985 cutlass does 0-60 is a respectable 13 seconds". That's not an exact quote but that's how it was back then. Today, people need their grocery getter to have the acceleration to have what only V8 mustangs had a generation ago.
@@kennygee2715 True. Modern cars are definitely faster than those from years past. Just this is slow in comparison to other competitors like the CX-30, Kona, Seltos, etc. Besides the engine, this car is great bang for buck.
Yeah, but the new one looks SO much nicer…. Very sporty and quite a big improvement. (I understand that looks are subjective, and I’m sure your 2019 is a nice car!)
For a 3 cylinder compact crossover, that's really not that bad at all. It has a pretty nice note to it too
It’s haulers ass
It's audio

It Sound Like a V6
*That's universal with in-line 3-cylinder engines.*
Finally someone noticed.. Yesss it does SO Cool
Am I the only one that thinks it sounds a lil like a v8? Or maybe i'm just retarded or somethin idk
@@joeskeptical4762 So that's why in-line 4 sound just like v8s!

I love those gauges so much
Not bad for the size of both the engine and the vehicle its hauling. Seems like it would be a lot faster if it didn't shift so strangely
1st 3 gears sound identical to a 2010 Ford explorer
Really...not that bad. There's something reassuring about the audible gear shifts and revs.
Chevy needs a performance version with closer to 200 hp and AWD. They've got the looks, just needs more to back it up.
I agree, That would’ve really taken full advantage of the platform. Maybe even a plug in hybrid model? This thing needs 80 more horsepower to compete with other small performance crossovers.
awd is for soccer moms. no need to awd everything. it adds too much weight with proper snow tires you can do anything required.
That would be too close to Trailblazer which has 155HP and AWD. I think Trax is intentionally more like a city explorer.
@@viktordmitriev8973 trax is good
Can't beat the price tho right? I mean 21k not bad.
I want to replace the digital screen of the Chevrolet Trax model with the screen in the current video. Can this be done or is it difficult?
Good mpg but if you have 5 people in car it feel underpower
wow better than my aveo 1.6 liter almost as fast as my volt which has 300 lbs of toruque.
Just dont do it too often because these engines been blowing up. For some reason its only with the trax.
Just under 9 seconds but what do you expect from a tiny 3 cylinder. It also sounds pretty good too.
@@beastmode2871 I don’t know what you think I expect because I never made a statement.
45 to 60 is pretty miserable … 0 to 45 was rather quick.
ok

~10 seconds

6-speed automatic, FWD only
