Well technically yes. The Nose Tackle they had ended up playing at Oregon State as a center and he’s a beast. So I think they thought widening out their DTs would work against me. It didn’t work. As soon as I saw their wide DT alignment I knew power and wedge would go great. And it did. I stuck to mostly inside running. They gave me the look I actually wanted. They are in a 5-3 it’s just a very wide 5-3. Lmao
@@hunterschmidt560 yeah I used to coach as an assistant with the opposing head coach. I knew his weaknesses and how he’d align his DEs. His defensive ends had little speed so he’d align them wide to cover the discrepancy and funnel all runs to the inside where he had two future D1 college athletes playing. His NT and his MLB were studs.
I am learning so much from your vids and your playbook. Thank you.
@@dustin9967 awesome coach. Having the manual really unlocks what a lot of these videos mean as I’m discussing. It’s like a decoder ring almost.
When the PSDE starts squeezing on 34 power looking for the kickout, run 36 power and run around him.👍🏽
Yessir. Every time. Easy double with the TE and WB.
The defense in the video was set up in more like a 3-5. Their DEs were super wide and sometimes head up on the TE. Yall were killing with the wedge

@@coachb7373 yeah this is a good example of a DC who doesn’t know how to defend the DW. I also think they were afraid of the speed to the outside.
