Years ago I broke a spring in a van I had, got a replacement from a junkyard. I cut 7 inches off each end and had some pipe welded to each about 14 inches long at one third from one end. Than sharpened the long side the same as a garden hole. My wife uses one in her garden and she gave the other away. She loves it.
Yes sir Kirk, I had same trouble with my 2011 Silverado first when I got it only year old then. They blamed it on taking too much wood in it ahaha!. Anyway fixed it with new ones and added extra ones. Fixed it!
Old leaf springs (that aren't cracked) can be made into some cool things... I rode your package around in my car all week... sorry. I promise I'll send it Monday!
unlucky with the springs Kirk but i have been told that if you break one side you should replace both sides because the other side will break never seen it happen but it could be true, all the best,

Wow you must have had a big load on her. I never saw a spring broken myself. Good fix Idea on some tuff luck.
