I like the unique aspect they added to this shoot em up, but exactly how does the racing mechanic work? Is it based on enemies defeated and not taking hits?
I was curious too, so I did a quick search. Turns out the speed can change for multiple reason; - Holding the fire button gives a speed boost, at the cost of not being able to shoot. - Being higher or lower on the screen increases and decreases speed, respectively - Death slows you down, as expected
So in order to finish up the race first you must kill quicker the enemies? Or this is some king of gimmick? Because after the first races seems impossible to finish even in the second place as i saw.
