@malenurse1999 I realize you don't have the knowledge I do, so don't feel bad for your ignorance, but the rate payers are too poor to afford multiple energy providers.
I'm an electrical engineer for the energy company and the CEO has ignored our concerns over the lack of any kind of plan and costs with this green transition.
Duke Energy does not care. Having power is a necessity and they know that you need it. The state should bring in competitive energy companies, just like there are internet, cable and cell phone companies, etc.
None of the energy companies are making green energy changes. They're lying. Sorry, but going green is promotional. It's not real. We are killing the planet faster now than ever.
So basically pay whatever we charge you because you don’t have a choice.
Trust me you are better off without choice

So in other words, Duke Energy has paid a lot of money to help give their customers top notch bullshit!!

Competitive energy companies = natural gas
My bill is $500-$1000 that’s ridiculous
This is the equivalent of Exxon saying "Whatchu gonna do? Not buy gas?"...
GOING GREEN agenda costs
