Installed the Hylander Calipers, Rotors, and Pads today on my 2014 XLE Touring Addition V6. Install was nice, no issues. Calipers hold a lot of brake fluid had to fill a couple times. Bled the brakes… they’ve work better than ever. Better than new. Big 2-pod Calipers, Big Rotors and Big Pads… Big Upgrade in feel, and hopefully long-term reliability. I have had nothing but issues with the brakes on this car since 2018 2 sets of pads, replaced rotors and pads 6-months ago. Vibration had never been worse. Fine for 4 months…. Then major vibration, just like every other time… This time fingers are crossed, vibration worries are over.. V6 too much motor for the stock brakes on this Avalon. Thx for this video and the inspiration to do better. I will update… but already a world of difference.
Just an FYI, parts from the following vehicles will also work: 2010 - 2018 Lexus RX350 - Models Made in USA 2016 - 2018 Lexus RX450h - All Models 2010 - 2013 Toyota Highlander - Models Made in USA 2014 - 2019 Toyota Highlander - All Models 2011 - 2019 Toyota Sienna - All Models
I just performed this on a 2011 Toyota Avalon with, caliper from 2011 highlander, brake pads and brake rotor from EBC brakes. It was an awesome fit and the brakes are so soo much better. Super smooth. Braking power is maximum. If I’m going 140mph on it and I slam the brakes they stop in 6 sec all the way to 0
I am doing this today. I bought my 2014 Avalon Touring Edition V6 in 2018. Replaced pads twice, then replaced Rotors and pads 6-months ago. They were good for about 4-months then back to lots of vibration on the front end, it is so bad now feels like the wheels will fall off. Too much motor for these weak, tiny brakes, I think they heat up, and warp the rotors? I have no idea, but it’s shit. Thx for the video. I will install 2011 Hylander Rotors today. Also quick note, O’Reilys told me there is a difference if your car is American made it Japanese made. Give them your vin # when getting the calipers. Hope my install goes well. Appreciate You my Dude!
Nice upgrade. If you drill a hole for the tube in the Gatorade top, it will hold your tube in place and you can just screw it onto the bottle. It will keep your tube end submerged in the brake fluid so you can bleed your brakes. The wire hook to hold up your bottle on the caliper is a good idea, never thought of that.
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD Thanks for the response, I'm about to do this upgrade. Were you able to reuse the bolts for the bracket and so on or did you have to change those as well?
