I’m SO happy we found Hearth & Story!! ❤ Question: I’ve bought 5th grade and all the releases so far for 6th grade. Can I have my daughter do 6th grade literature with the 5th grade writing since she’s new to Hearth & Story or should I have her stick all to one level?
She can definitely do 5th grade writing with the 6th grade lit bundle. Since all the literature-based essay projects are contained in the novel/story guides, the writing is more "interchangeable." When she gets to the weeks in 5th grade writing where it says to stop and write your essay for Over the Moon, Gregor, or the other books, just skip right over those. Instead, take your breaks from the writing course during the weeks when you are writing your essays for Double Dutch, Starry River, and so on. Hope that makes sense!
