We're working on releasing the rest of 4th grade as well as Level 7-8 (junior high) throughout 2025!

Here's the one we got. We are hoping to try it out today. We usually try making homemade bread using just typical kitchen equipment, but we have had a few fails, so I decided to try to up our game this time. This novel is just absolutely delightful, and that's saying a lot since it starts off as a murder mystery!

Fourth will be a complete year just like fifth and sixth. We are working on both fourth and level 7-8 at the same time, and you should see course components of both coming out throughout the end of 2024 and 2025.

With everyone's schedules so customized, it's impossible to tell folks what they should do as a "day" of work. For example, some people spread writing across three days of the week, while others do a one-day writing workshop each week. Some work on their novel studies five days a week, while others may have a four day week due to coops or field trips.

She can definitely do 5th grade writing with the 6th grade lit bundle. Since all the literature-based essay projects are contained in the novel/story guides, the writing is more "interchangeable." When she gets to the weeks in 5th grade writing where it says to stop and write your essay for Over the Moon, Gregor, or the other books, just skip right over those. Instead, take your breaks from the writing course during the weeks when you are writing your essays for Double Dutch, Starry River, and so on. Hope that makes sense!

Fifth grade has a combination of spelling and vocab together, so we don't have any plans to make any changes to that level right now.

My niece is dyslexic, and Sequential Spelling worked well for her.

Great question! Right now, I'm working on getting the sixth grade level out. If there's enough interest in the future, I might consider creating a fourth grade level.

Hi Sarah! Hearth & Story is aligned to Common Core standards. At the beginning of each course component (usually around page 3) there's a list of Common Core standards that particular component covers. Fifth grade is out now (writing this on 2/18/24) and I'm working hard on sixth grade. The first novel study of sixth grade is out, and I'll be releasing each component as it becomes available, but right now it's too soon to say if the entire course would be out by the start of the school year. I've been peeking at my son's notes for his project and I noticed he wrote down that she had a favorite stuffed animal chimpanzee that she loved as a child. What a fun detail!

@@SchoolWorkInProgress There's student work on almost every page, so the easiest would be to print one copy for each student. There are a few pages where the student isn't writing anything (mostly the texts of the short stories) but other than that, they are engaged with basically every page in some way.

Thanks! It's definitely a lot since it's an entire year of all language arts subjects (387 pages, if I remember correctly!) so it definitely helps to have an organized binder!

Thanks! I often struggle to explain the situation to friends and family who aren't immersed in the world of Medicaid waivers and such, so I thought others might have the same issue. Hopefully these will help even a little bit in helping folks in our social circles understand the challenges!

Yes! I've been homeschooling for so many years and I've never found a complete language arts program that's exactly what I'm looking for, so I decided to go back to my roots as an English teacher and write one! I'm planning to release all the individual parts on my TPT Store as they're ready in case folks want to use individual novel studies, the literary term flashcards, etc., but then also make it available as a bundle once the entire level is finished.

After that one, we did a big combination of My Side of the Mountain, Minecraft: The Island, Robert Frost's "Birches," and Ryan Trahan's RUclips journey across the country to bring a penny to Mr. Beast. They all fit together, I promise LOL!
