    Sir Dave, I did remove my oxygen sensor and went to tune ecu and uncheck the oxygen sensor and did a reset adaptation. But now I have a code of P0030 and P0050 saying that lambda sensor heater -short circuits to negative -open circuit. I can’t erase it with tune ecu. Should I just plug it back in the oxygen sensor. Thank you

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Год назад

      When you uncheck the O2 box in TuneECU, you have to do a Reprogram so it can send the new map with that setting to the ECU. Did you skip that step? if so, that would cause it to throw the codes.
      I would leave the O2 sensors in, and enabled. I put mine back in, and it idles better with them.

    Hello Dave. I would like to see if you can help me with a mapping for my 2022 Speed Twin. It has an X-pipe and Arrow exhausts, with a high-flow DNA air filter. You're the only one I've seen on RUclips talking about these modifications. I've been wanting to get rid of the exhaust pops for a long time.

      What country are you in? I have a custom dyno tuned map for that exact setup, that I can send you. Help a brother out and promote the channel, is all that I asm in return. 🙂
      And after you install the map, getting rid of the popping is done by disabling SAI and plugging the hose with a marble, search my channel for the video on that process.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  2 года назад

      Yes, but you will also want to get it tuned. The bike is gonna run seriously lean, and that will cause backfiring. The SAI just makes it a little worse... So block that with the marble trick, but get yourself a tune for that setup. If nothing else, take the stock tune and dump some fuel into the areas where it feels lean. Won't be optimal like getting a dyno tune, but it will help keep the motor from damage...

      I have already your previous map installed, it works great. I get what the ETV table changes do but I have no clue what timings are 🤔, could you explain that to me simply?
      Other question : do you reset adaptatives with the engine running ? Every time I did it (with the engine off), my engine light on the dashboard lit up and I had to reset the crankshaft position within TuneECU to make the light go away.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  2 года назад +1

      Timing advance adjusts when the spark occurs. You can adjust power to an extent, by adjusting the ignition advance to be more optimal, so that it occurs at just the right moment within the stroke of the piston.
      As for resetting adaptive, do it which ever way works for you. Not sure why your bike throws a code, mine doesn't and I haven't heard from anyone else whose does..

      Thanks for this Dave, Iv just taken my arrow headers off and fitted a x pipe now as arrow pipes were just too obnoxiously loud. I test ride the bike today and it’s noticeably quieter, just right I think, although noticeable in higher revs taken longer to reach top end, I guess because the arrow pipes where 40mm straight through with no restrictions whereas the xpipe into link pipe has a smaller diameter bore so the engine revs less freely up top. I’m still using one of your older maps before you increased the fuel and ignition so I’ll give this a try. I’m happy to contribute to your dyno map as others have said as well. Have you noticed much improvement with your recent map compared to your earlier ones then?

    Nice!!! This makes me want to mess with the street triple, although I think the bike its good as it is, just in case though, do you think they changed the map or numbers on the 2023 from the 2020? Also if they got the habit of nerfing bikes, that would mean the triple also has performance left on the table right?

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  2 года назад

      I can look, but they don't tend to restrict the performance bikes much, if at all. Unless you have the Street R, which they intentionally hold back to create a power difference between that and the RS, which they charge more for. The R can easily be unlocked to deliver the full RS output, but the RS isn't restricted.
