I did my first muscle up last night, and at the start of the year I could do a single pull up!

What was your training? Trying to get a muscle up too and can only do 2 pull ups
Yotam Gabay Well when I started I could onlydo one pull up. What I did was I bought resistance bands. I bought a XS and a S. I could do 5 pull ups with both together. What I did was I used both until I could do 12 pull ups in a row. I practiced pull ups by doing the explosively. You pull up as high as you can. After I did 12, I moved down to just the S band. Same thing, once I got to 12, I dropped to just the XS band. At this point I also practiced doing L sit pull ups. I had to use both bands at the beginning. During my training I practiced deep dips, just like a normal dip but you go as low as possible. Once I had the strength down I started doing muscle ups with both bands and just working on technique. I could only do 1 at a time, but it was just about technique. Slowly, once my technique got better I dropped the bands until I did my first one with no assistance! I HIGHLY recommend buying resistance bands. They are a MASSIVE help. By far the best fitness equipment I have ever bought, completely worth it.

yeah man, I just recently got my first muscle up (with a bit knee kicking of course) and you feel like all those months and years perfecting my pulling as paid off, you feel invincible
@@stringnerd i felt invicible too when i did new record at wide arm push ups (40) with "kinda" rest, but i had to be at push up position while doing it, also tryied pull up next day and couldnt do single one, it kinda made me feel weak as fuck. I have to train biceps and grip i guess...

Cheers man I needed this, it’s made me stop worrying about reaching a point where things are taking slightly longer to progress, or getting frustrated when things setting me back slightly, sometimes you need reminding that things don’t always happen overnight, and that you’ve just got to keep at it!
(Been feeling low due to having the flu over Christmas which led to an ear/throat infection that’s meant I’ve had to take some antibiotics that’ve made me really tired and weak).
Yesterday I did my first muscleup, the infamous chicken wing. Still I think I made progress, considering 8 months ago I could only do 3 pullups.

I was hardheaded started at first now my right arm is done for. But glad you made progress it only gets better from here👏🏼and if fall out or not making progress get a Bookbag but some weight to gain more. Just make that specific thing you won’t accomplished💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 no pain no gain baby💪🏽💪🏽

I did my first one today ^^ it was a pretty clean one... My arms were synchronised I still swinged with my legs to get momentum. I was so fucking happy :) and I still am.

Ive tried adding weights for 3 trainings about 2-3 months ago, but i got ill afterwards and since then i stick to my old training style (bodyweight only). Maybe ill do something with weights in the future :)
Reps,reps and more reps. If you want youre muscle ups to be stronger you need to improve your pull up first, go for 25-30 Pull ups in one set. After youve done that try going for bigger endurance sets like the one i showed in my full day of eating or a shorter one like this:
5 Sets of 10 Pull ups + 20 Dips
5 Sets of 9 Pull ups + 18 Dips
5 Sets of 8 Pull ups + 16 Dips
...
After youve improved your pull ups, try doing endurance sets with muscle ups like this one:
20 Sets of 5 Muscle ups + 5 Dips +5 Pull ups(without leaving the bar) (Use a light resistance band once you cant do a set without it)
Try doing everything with clean form, thats probably the most important thing :)
After doing that for a while you should be able to do 10+ clean muscle ups :)

Maicon Junio You need to do 10 explosive pull ups to your chest for the muscle up
Pen Umbra ....I can do 35 pullups bodyweight,13 pullups with a 45, 50% bodyweight for 2 pullup and still can't muscle up as much as most guys are just weak don't forget technique guys. Those were all chest to bar L-sit variants though due to where I have to train.
