I agree with you as a South African . I think she needs to improve on her confidence in Q&A and also have a strong story / advocacy. I don’t think she would’ve won in SA simply because of Q&A and SA places a lot of emphasis on that . She is beautiful and can do well in Mexico if she fixes those things .
She was not gonna make it In South Africa.... Standard too high there, even the caliber of contestants is a little bit high in South Africa compared to Nigeria... So Yea I agree with you...
Whether she was or wasn't going to make it in SA is irrelevant! She is still going to Miss Universe which is a dream she had since 2017. She joined Miss SA with hopes to make it to to Miss Universe! You could have easily commented something nice or wished her good luck.
She decided to remove herself after the Home Affairs findings regarding her identity, I think automatically she had to withdraw because she didn’t have valid documentation which is part of requirement for competing , but I don’t like how she was bullied by SAns I felt we should have shown her love after all she was born and raised here , I feel so bad about this , but I like how she stood up and fought she is a strong beautiful lady , and since her arrival in Nigeria she is glowing and ready to take up the universe, she was glowing on stage , she was queening im positive the time she complete in Universe she will place higher

Come on bro, Chichi joined them at the top 25 level of the contest, while she already made the top 10 level of the SA version. It wasn't as if the opposite was the case. People talk about she didn't audition and prepare with the other contestants, but she did all that in the SA contest. Yet Chidinma's being proudly South African for 23years learning your culture did not save her from your spite nor hatefulness in punishing an innocent babe for the "alleged" sin of the mother which has not yet been proved. You cannot sentence someone for a crime without being proved guilty beyond doubts but you just did thst to Chidinma for someone else's crime in that while investigations was going on for her mother;you hounded the daughter out of your pageant because you wanted someone who is more South African to go in-Xenophobia in action. This is a travesty of justice. You are wrong about South Africans, or you should at least say "some South Africans". As far as we know Chichi's home is in Cape Town, her father and mother are there, as well as her siblings. How can she be expelled out of the country, if her whole family is still here? Why is her family not in danger or attacked if we are so bad and dangerous? Side lining/ isolating South Africans is not going to solve anything, the country is strong enough in all fronts, but is that what you want? Chichi's situation will be decided by the government not by South Africans, in the meantime she is a "non legalised South African" and that will be resolved. All you have heard was through social media, random people commenting, and suddenly it's a South African opinion. This was a fast moving story, before we even understood who Chichi was and what was happening, we heard that she is going to Nigeria. Initially, the people in Social media said they didn't like Chichi's lack of patriotism of South Africa - since her profile showed Nigerian and Mozambican flags only, and yet she was competing for Miss South Africa. Additionally, videos of her surfaced, where she was with only Nigerian people around her, celebrating her selection to top 10. The people in Social media then felt she was not displaying a character of being "South African". At the same time, other revelations were being made about being once married to a Nigerian man before but divorced. I think that's where the skepticism about her originally came from. The authorities got involved when they were requested by the organizers of Miss South Africa to clarify her citezenship, and fraudulent citezenship by her parents were then uncovered, which ultimately triggered her withdrawal from the competition. Yes she was born here like thousands of other people with parents from foreign countries, but in her case irregularities occured when her birth was registered by her mother. Her story was covered on TV recently. Her school friends were talking well about her, as well as her teachers. In any case she speaks with a complete South African English accent, there is not doubt that she grew up here. Her father did not want to take questions when the media went to his house in Cape Town. Chichi story is not really in the media that much here, it's mostly in Social media. So please stop exaggerating about South Africans, this is not even a common topic here. We wish her well, may her career flourish, may she win Miss World and may she make the right decisions going forward. The wider South African population definitely does not dislike Chichi, unfortunately no one believes that as it seems, we are called delusional or hypocrites when we say we do love her. Lastly, please visit the country and see how wrong you are about South Africans (excluding the few Xenophobic/ ignorant ones - that you won't see nor meet in any case).
the pity party is not going to fly in Mexico it worked in Nigeria. she still needs to come and face the courts together with her mother who stole someone elses identity.
Chidimma didn't steal someone identity her mom did even home affairs emphasized that there was no way she participated because she was an infant ..they made it clear that she didn't commit crime..

She did not deserve the bullying but the entitlement of Africans especially Nigerians (and Zimbabweans that they must simply be accepted into SA is surreal and this is why there is so much tension. The identity theft did not help and the investigation is still not completed. Also Nigerians attacked Mia cos they are so disconnected from SA that they thought she was a foreigner even they she could probably trace her family history 200 years back at least. South Africa is a very tolerant country considering all the abuse we receive from foreign African committing crime, i just feel sad the Chidimma was the punching bag for her people. Also ask which two flags she had in her bio, i can tell you it was not the South African flag!
@@Jhetx Yes their entitlement of those two nations has caused serious tension especially the crime element, illegal immigrants ruined things for law abiding immigrants, and also genuine asylum seekers. Not just in South Africa but also globally. It’s not nice.
If Chidimma could resolve the issue by providing proof of her birthplace or sorting out the necessary documentation, it would be a huge relief for everyone involved. And yes, having her mom's support and focusing on preparing for the pageant next year would be a great way to move forward. It's essential to prioritize clarity, honesty, and transparency in situations like this. By doing so, Chidimma can avoid unnecessary stress and scrutiny, and we can all cheer her on without any reservations!

If her parents didn't have a legal status in SA then she doesn't get citizenship. It's not granted automatically at birth. She would have received a notification of birth from Home Affairs and then the parents need to go to their countries where they are legal residents and get her documents from there. If she was born elsewhere and moved to SA without fraud, she would have had legal resident status as a child and then after she turned 18 she would have 3-4 years to apply for citizenship. If she was born in SA and her parents had legal Resident status, she would have been given citizenship at birth. If one of her parents was a South African citizen she would have automatically become a citizen. The only other exception is stateless children who can apply for citizenship as they qualify or possess no other. Since she has citizenship via her father to Nigeria, she doesn't qualify for this route.
Chidimma has triple nationality (and perhaps two) and could compete in any of them. By virtue of her father being a Nigerian, she is automatically a Nigerian-South African. By virtue of her mother being Mozambican, she's automatically a Nigerian-Mozambican. If it's true that her mother stole someone's else identify to register her as a South African, then she's not a South African. We need to put emotions aside on that one. It's a matter of legality, not an issue of place of birth. South Africa doesn't have nationality by birth program. We can be sympathetic to her experience, but I disagree with blaming South Africa for what happened. The country has a right to request that the right person represent them. To be considered a South African, one of your parents must be South African, regardless of whether you're born in South Africa. In conclusion, she can compete in Nigeria, because her father is a Nigerian. For example, I have a 22-year old son who has never been to Nigeria and doesn't know anything about Nigeria. He was born and lived all his life in New York (US) and doesn't even know my siblings - he has never met or talk to any of them and doesn't know a single Nigerian word. If I died tomorrow and he wanted to compete for Nigeria, he is qualified to do so, because on his birth certificate my nationality states that I'm a Nigerian. I kept one of my expired passport in 1979 (that was my last expired passport) for him to keep in case in future he decides to be identified as Nigerian-American.
@@TheAdeJohn Thank you for understanding our plight as South Africans and seeing it as a matter of law over above all. Because really that’s what it is, and non famous people have experienced the same situation and were deported to the parents countries. It’s just that for her it happened in the public eye.
Who is the person first, let's see her or her mother. Bring evidence first before crucifixion and also bring the home affairs officers who aided, how dare you sell your country men to others, they committed the worst crime
1. I agree with you that Chidimma should have waited until next year to compete. Frankly speaking, I believe that she had been promised that title before she even competed. She was merely invited to receive the crown. 2. How can a woman who has not visited Nigeria for over 20 years represent Nigeria. Now, it would have been a different story if the decision to compete had come from her. Had, she not been invited, would she have ever nursed the desire to do so? 3. The Miss Universe Nigeria organisation was definitely wrong to have invited Chidimma to compete "this year ". This is a disservice to the other delegates who had to apply, upload their introduction videos, explaining why they wanted to compete and ultimately had to travel down to Lagos from all parts of the country for the in-person audition. Some of the the delegates who applied could not attend the in-person audition due to financial constraints. Some of the applicants were not also selected. Also, the delegates were not allowed to submit their own headshot photos. The organization insisted that they must have their headshots taken by the organization's photographer. All of these rules did not apply with Chidimma because the initial 24 finalists had been chosen and publicised before her emergence. 4. The organization has a score to settle with Nyekachi Douglas. She called them out shortly after her Miss World competition in 2019. In the call-out, she accused the organization of not fulfilling their promises (the winner of the competition had been promised some prizes, which she never got) and abandoning her to cater to her needs during the Miss World 2019 pageant. Apparently, the organization is not happy with her and have decided to take their pound of flesh by continuously not crowning her even though she is the best delegate, every single time. In summary, the Miss Universe Nigeria organisation are simply opportunist who are out to take advantage of Chidimma's controversy. Chidimma is no different from them, in my opinion, as she strikes me as a person who is only interested in fame and does not necessarily care how she gets it. As a Nigerian, I'm truly disappointed by this because the Miss Universe franchise has been with this organization for the past 36 years with nothing to show for it. In the history of the entire competition, Nigeria has only placed twice.
Madam Nkechi is not the best delegate, I have watched her performance last year and this year...There are other contestants who are good too. That she has advantage of being in an international stage doesn't mean she is wiser or better than others... I love Nkechi but I'm kind of sad at her performances last year and this year. There is something that you put all your best and it's visible
Has it ever occurred to any of you guys that the majority of Nigerians wanted her to come to Nigeria after witnessing the vile hate and evil bullying she suffered in South Africa just for having a tint of Nigerian blood? She won because over 80% of Nigerians loved, wanted and supported her. If not, the internet in Nigeria would have been up in roars after she won...but rather, it's jubilation!!!

Portuguese South africans do not scam, commit fraud, traffic women, do/sell drugs like the great percentage of Nigerians.. so yes, I'd take a Portuguese South African over a criminal!!!
Not to be cynical, SA see white foreigners as tourists and visitors who spend money in the country while black foreigners are trying to be citizens under shady means.
She was not bullied she was stubborn and thought she can continue to defraud this useless government we have in this country but she couldn't get her way out of it because of the pressure that was put on the government. Our corrupt government couldn't save her out of all this drama like they always managed to buy they way out of a lot of things.

Other contestants were not upset. If they were, some would have complained about it. In Nigeria, no one cares we you come from. Our borders are open to every African. While Chidima was a contestant of high calibre, and that is why she made the finals of Miss South Africa, one of the biggest issues with her was the fact that, as much as she wanted to compete to be Miss SA, she didn't really see herself as South African. You can't represent people who you don't identify with. Anyway, good luck to her at Miss Universe. I suspect she will place, or even win.

Apparently Nyekachi and the Miss Universe Nigeria org don’t have the best relationship because she spoke out against them in 2019 for some reason. I think that’s another reason things didn’t go in her favour. But she has come out to say she’ll be back to try again next year. Hopefully 3rd time will be the charm.
Been waiting for you to have a say on this. Honestly speaking if she can polish her runway skills, she can definitely do amazing at Miss Universe. I also this that she has the potential of give the other contestants at Miss Universe a chase for the win. She going to catch a lot of public eyes because of her beauty, but i just need to see an improved runway performance.
Chidimma keeps manipulating us, she had the option of fixing her SA citizenship. Its easy actually she would have been given her citizenship independent of her mom. Where she competes after that would be her choice but she opted to be part of more fraudulent behavior. I find she has displayed poor character since then. There is no way she can return to SA she basically showed SA the middle finger and is riding the victim wave. That is not a Miss Universe. Its somewhat dishonest
That's not how South African citizenship works. If her parents didn't have a legal status in SA then she doesn't get citizenship. It's not granted automatically at birth.
The blogger is right, though, and said it all. In my own opinion looking at the other contestants, she deserves to win and she is beautiful with poise. I didn't see anyone as my favourite except chidima. The contestants this year are not on the hype side. It is those that are available for competition you would crown. If you watch world beauty competition you will understand what it takes to win international competitions. Beauty lies in eye of the beholder anyway.
South African think too low of themselves. Now they think, what they can't achieve, others should never be able to. But Chidinma has a Nigerian blood in her. She'll rise above all the hate.
Who told you the contestants were upset? The contestants who brought in chidimma themselves. The same contestants that defended her against hate after the competition. Get fulk information before creating a content.
Totally agree with you.. I support Chidinma and adore her beauty, class and strength but i think she should have been given a year to immerse herself in Nigeria and recover from the SA bad situation and compete for the crown next year 2025. that would have been better for her, the pageantry and the country too. Oh well. congrats Chidinma and well-done Luis on the work. Godbless
First question did she follow all the protocols all Nigerians contestant followed, second did they varify her citizenship, but me ill she was pushed to win to prove a point, another lady from Nigeria was sacrificed for her to win
She obviously can't be using another person's id but she didn't do anything wrong, it was absolutely shocking that they gave her that win and a fake temu crown 😮there is literally video of it falling of her head
Most of you got it wrong. When your ways are pleasing to God , He will make your enemies to be at peace with you. Chidinma was a child of destiny and no matter how much you logically look at it, God has intervened. Job in the bible served God faithfully, if you care to read the story of Job in the bible, but because God wanted to make a star out of him, God allowed Job to be tempted and punished by Satan. What was the end result, Job got the double portion of what he had lost. In our present generation, folks like you would have blamed Job and God on both sides. God uses the foolishness of this world to confound the wise. It's not about Chidinma, you may like her or not, it;s not about whoever was against her, it;s about God. Joseph had the same problem with his brothers in the bible and was even sold as a slave to a foreign land, but guess the end of Joseph, he became the 2nd in command in Egypt
Preach....who God has blessed no man can curse... before any of this drama he knew, he saw it, he knows our future...People can analyze all they want...but if God has set a path in your life no one can change it...she was destined to win Ms Nigeria full stop.

Thank you for your fair coverage. Since Chidinma withdrew from the Miss South Africa beauty pageant after backlash on her identity, and decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, all that the black South African content creators have been doing is spreading more hate and xenophobia. They can't even stay focused on the actual topic.
Having said that, Chidinma was handed a 'WILDCARD' to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria competition, and we all know that a 'wildcard' allows a contestant to take part in the finals without having necessarily participated in the qualifying rounds, but your point is well noted and appreciated. Thank you.
Whenever South Africans tell the truth, people like you want to claim it's Xenophobia.
She took part in every preliminary activity the other girls did.
Miss Universe Nigeria don’t have much rounds like Miss SA. She wasn’t actually given a WILDCARD. Nigeria has 37 states of which only 24 was taken up by the girls. Chidimma was given one.
If more girls had come, they would have been given the available slots
Taraba state had a free slot and nobody representing them, so it was only fair for her to represent the state. @@emekaugah8641
Miss Universe Nigeria only placed twice in the history of Miss Universe, i think they were tired of sending delegates who don't place. South Africa, on the other hand, has the best track record from all the countries in Africa. Chidima went through the whole process of Crown Chasers, essentially being prepared by South Africa for the international stage. I believe the Silverbird group made a strategic move to invite her and crown her.

Its interesting how Chidima still goes around saying she's "South African and Nigerian" ..her mom stole a poor South African woman's identify document🤷🏾♀️ Chidima is NOT therefore South African. The country has its laws that cannot be altered for an individual....now giving Chidima the crown as a way of spitimg South Africa 🇿🇦 and at the expense of more deserving contestants who have been "proudly Nigerian" all of their lives - and not just two weeks before the pageant...that was a little dumb and not well thought through
Yet Chidinma's being proudly South African for 23years learning your culture did not save her from your spite nor hatefulness in punishing an innocent babe for the "alleged" sin of the mother which has not yet been proved. Just love this
Nigerians so many untruths. That's the norm though so I'm not surprised
God bless you for this… this answers it all.

@@TheAdeJohn Thank you for understanding our plight as South Africans and seeing it as a matter of law over above all. she doesn't even regret for using someones identity
Who is the person first, let's see her or her mother. Bring evidence first before crucifixion and also bring the home affairs officers who aided, how dare you sell your country men to others, they committed the worst crime
She's Nigerian, she does not care. Nigeria is a 419 country.
Well, thankfully you represent a minority of Nigerians. 🙂

There is no way she can return to SA she basically showed SA the middle finger and is riding the victim wave. That is not a Miss Universe. Its somewhat dishonest
That's not how South African citizenship works. If her parents didn't have a legal status in SA then she doesn't get citizenship. It's not granted automatically at birth.
Well, South Africa donated Chidima to Nigeria, she is now Miss Temu Nigeria 2024
We are delighted to have her..... Now go to bed...
😅that was not a win,she was invited to come and take the crown,
I have never heard of something like that before, controversial indeed
Destiny is different
South African think too low of themselves. Now they think, what they can't achieve, others should never be able to. But Chidinma has a Nigerian blood in her. She'll rise above all the hate.
Who told you the contestants were upset?
The contestants who brought in chidimma themselves.
The same contestants that defended her against hate after the competition.

Lol relax
Tell her is not that serious 😂😂😂@@IAmChosen9925
@@IAmChosen9925 I'm relaxed
Inviting her wasn’t a problem, but like you said! Next year should have been the best❤
Godbless
💯 you nailed it🙌
❤❤❤ You have spoken very well😊
I agree with u, she needs lots of polishing to do. The fact she was holding that gown , uuwchhk😪
Primitive rednek 🤫
