Simply being born in South Africa does does not grant you the right to citizenship. You have to be born to parents who are legally registered citizens themselves, (or at least one parent must be a legal registered South African citizen.) Children of foreigners, born in South Africa, presumably in a hospital or other medical institution, are issued a "non citizen certificate of birth." ( Provided of course if the parents entered the country legally.) This document serves as proof that the child belongs to them and was not kidnapped or otherwise criminally obtained or trafficked and kept in their charge. This document must also be used by the parents to submit to their relevant embassies in order to apply for a passport and or other citizenship documents for that child so that they can return to their country with their child in their care. Simply being born in South Africa does does not grant you the right to citizenship.
You have to be born to parents who are legally registered citizens themselves, (or at least one parent must be a legal registered South African citizen.)
Children of foreigners, born in South Africa, presumably in a hospital or other medical institution, are issued a "non citizen certificate of birth." ( Provided of course if the parents entered the country legally.)
This document serves as proof that the child belongs to them and was not kidnapped or otherwise criminally obtained or trafficked and kept in their charge.
This document must also be used by the parents to submit to their relevant embassies in order to apply for a passport and or other citizenship documents for that child so that they can return to their country with their child in their care.
Many foreign Africans tend to come to South Africa by both legal and illegal means, especially when the women are pregnant in the foolish belief that giving birth in South Africa will qualify their child for automatic citizenship when this is clearly not the case. This is tried again and again by thousands of foreign Africans every year in the hope that if their children are born on South African soil, they are automatically given citizenship and thus enabling the parents to claim social welfare benefits, grants and other financial subsidies in that child's name.
Although these attempts by foreign Africans to defraud the South African social welfare system (SASSA) mostly fail, there are however, those odd few attempts that are successful in this crime.
Its now been proven, after an investigation by the South African Department of Home Affairs that Chidima's parents committed identity fraud by stealing the identities and accompanying documents of South African citizens and used them to remain in the country illegally.
Furthermore its also been discovered that they used these stolen identities and the accompanying documentation to falsely register their children as South African citizens in order to claim social welfare benefits and other subsidies meant for South African citizens only. This has been now proven.
Therefore Chidima Adeshina, like her parents, is not a South African and neither is she a citizen.
Chidima and her parents will now be deported to either her fathers country of Nigeria or her mother's country of Mozambique where she could apply for citizenship and legal documents to support her status there.
DHA should use this case to follow up other cases that these officials worked on that could be questionable. They can't just stop at this one. You will find many of those people that have been rooting for her that are identity thieves including "our" so called people.

Sisi, I don't think her citizenship has been cancelled. Her citizenship still remains valid until it is revoked by Home Affairs. Our laws are very liberal and Home Affairs cannot just revoke it like in other countries. Remember the investigation is ongoing and they have to conclude the investigations before they can come up with reasons to revoke it, not only hers like you mentioned.
