Another fantastic stream. Thanks Drew! And folks, if you're reading this and haven't subscribed to Drew's channel, please do! It's a crime that he only has 41K subs. His content is far superior than the majority of fly fishing videos in the RUclips universe.
Agreed!
@@fishhandsfrankywhere is this trout stream?
Ha...why would any flyfisherman give away the location of a spot he is catching fish? Nice try though. I think this spot is in Arizona. Go there.
I spent 2 days with my son on section A of the GR in Utah last week and we had such a good time! We didn’t catch many fish because we are fairly new to FF but we had a fun time! Watching your videos has really got me thinking about how I can transition from a high paced stressful job that pays very well to maybe working part time so that I can FISH MORE!! 😎😎
Great job as always. 💪I have a love/hate relationship with these videos…. Love watching them, hate that I’m not fishing
What an awesome stream! I live vicariously thru u Drew.
Nice one Drew! That's the first time I've seen a video by you, just loved it, nice and straightforward no bs. Merry Christmas from Scotland 🏴 ❤️ 🇺🇸
You continue to have the best fishing videos on RUclips.
Another good one. You never let me down.
Thanks for a year full of great videos Drew. Wishing you the all the best in the next one. Cheers.
Beautiful stream and some lovely fish. I can hardly wait to get out and fish again....
As always, great video and beautiful scenery. best regards from Chicago
good looking stream, and fish. Tight lines
Great series thanks for sharing with us looking forward to what’s nexr
Another exceptional stretch of western water in big WY! Merry Christmas and wishing you a very Happy 2024 New Year. May this new year bring you an abundance of blessings, happiness, good health, harmony and most importantly more fishy situations Drew!
Absolutely beautiful stream and fish! Thanks for sharing and Happy Birthday to the wife!
What a beautiful place! Nice day Drew
absolutely stunning
Great video, Drew!
Making it look so easy. 😊
Merry Christmas n Happy New Year! Your videos are amazing! My fishing experience began on small Oregon streams and graduated to Steelhead n Salmon fishing!!
Really nice fish, thanks drew, enjoyed watching.
Nice video fishing look fantastic!
Great video! 🤘🏼
Another ripper video Drew. Great day out. Say Happy Birthday to your wife! Cheers PP
Yep, about ready to sell the house and move from NC to Wyoming. Wife won’t let me, so I’ll keep dreaming and fishing here as much as I can. Thanks for taking us along. Always love your videos. No bs, just good fishing that even a blue collar country boy can understand and use. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to all.
How cool is that!?! Fish after beautiful fish with an audience of bighorn
Ha...you will love Wyoming until early winter arrives and doesn't leave for 6 months. No fishing when the ice is clogging up your guides and you can't feel your fingers, toes, or balls. Stay in NC and come to Wyoming in the summer, hire a guide and have fun.
Great fish in that stream!
Babies...
Great content, really enjoy your videos!! This is the stuff that should be a fly-fishing show on weekend mornings - the beautiful terrain is just as much a part of it as catching fish.
One question: I often see you and others with a ton of different tippets, like 0:32 of this video. I get that in old times (or maybe even today in a spring creek setting) that was necessary. But today don't most people just buy the tippet they want as a single tapered leader at whatever x & length they want and then fish it until it needs replacement? I always lose a few due to snags or breakoffs and never attempt to rebuild an entire leader from those tippets. Do you build every leader from those tippets? Thanks!
You really capture the feeling of getting out there!
I was wondering what camera you use?
Keep it up and greetings from South Africa!
Hey Drew, what’s up? Nice video!
Georgeous river
Awesome day great looking fish!! Have a safe drive home!! You have to have the best wife on the planet bro you really do, the only better circumstance would be if you could get her to come meet you on her birthday so you didn’t have to leave.. lol. I don’t know how you do it….
The fishing looks insane there! Browns & rainbows all over... What state is that stream in? Your videos are never boring keep them coming. Nice to fit your wife's birthday in your adventures.
Wyoming
I could almost smell the trees and the leaves after that rainy night. 😉 Luckily the river was pretty clear. What kind of animals did I see at minute 4:30? Just deer? Good drive home tomorrow, have a nice Christmas and a happy New Year Drew!
I believe they were Big Horn Sheep
ok@@John-bz6re
What 3wt do you usually use in your videos, thanks and love what you do.
What kind of camer are you using?
Hi drew.I have watched all of your videos. You do a great job. Happy birthday to your wife. Drew I’ve fished Yellowstone Madison snake. My question for you is if I wanted to do a 3-4 float what would be your favorite’ river to float. I’m 77 and have a hard time walking more than 100 yards. I’m fine wade fishing walking and stopping. Your last video was a dream. Take care be well
Great video! Can you tell me the information of indicator which you use?
You mean "bobber"? 😂😂😂
@@Michael65429 Yes, Is it bobber?
From fly fisher in Korea.
He was fishing a hopper dropper. Double your chances. Pretty standard setup in the summer on our rivers. Heavily fished waters will see and/or spook from bobber style indicators but they are necessary when fishing deep in heavier water. Don't let guys like michaelhill spook you from those, he will be watching you catch fish.
Drew, great video. What did you get your wife for her birthday?
Drew - thx for showing types flies you are using. Could you share rivers when they are large like this one and not private? I don’t understand this idea not of sharing large river names in fishing videos. I completely understand not sharing small streams and areas where such information could destroy them. I live in GA and it sure would be nice to have some good rivers to target on a future trip out west. Thx and keep up great videos!! Be safe headed home!!!!
The same reason little rivers/ creek names don’t get shared..
Most creators with thousands of followers have started steering clear of posting any locations because of the size of their audiences.
Places like the one in this video are becoming few and far between, and one big factor to that is overfishing/ over pressured water ways. lastly. A big factor to over pressured fisheries nowadays is because of social media, including RUclips blasting a spot onto the internet with a big fish/ lots of fish for all to see. Then hundreds if not thousands of people who have never heard of that fishery, are there adding more fishing pressure.. and they are sure to return if the fishing was good.
I’m sure a quick google search will show you rivers in your area
@@bwcafishingIn my opinion, you tube creators are simply narcissistic by nature. They scream "Look at me! Look at how great I am!" Just pisses me off when creators post this crap cause you know word is gonna get out and the fishery ruined. I've seen it happen here in NC; someone posted a video of one of my favorite brook trout streams and even shared where it was. As a result, I can no longer find solitude on this blue line... I could post videos but I choose to try to PRESERVE AND PROTECT my surroundings.
Man thinks he has dominion over nature, but there won't be anything left at the rate we're going.
Just my opinion...
Because we don't need more of you people coming out west and ruin our good days on the water. That's why!!!
I appreciate and RESPECT this content provider because he is very sensitive to ethics and consequences! Please Never HOT SPT any water.... it is too crowded and these fisheries are too fragile - BIG OR SMALL. The joy is in the discovery and without the interweb crutch.... go look at maps, work a little, and discover! That is the original creative joy - not plugging in search terms and being lazy. Thank you Drew Lookn Fishy for sharing the fisheries for those willing to engage in the discovery! Very ethical behavior.
20 hours is not that bad. I have done it before. It is like being in the military. Drive some and take a nap after filling up for gas.
As a lifelong Wyoming resident, I would love to figure out where this is! All I have is LAZY Snake River Fine Spott Cutthroats in my area. I have to travel for browns and rainbows.
I have an idea where he is and don’t want to say and ruin a good thing. I will say southwest, and leave it at that. What part of the state are you in? I’m in Casper.
It would be better if everyone went down to Utah ,the fishing is way better there.

I agree, everyone go to Utah.
Yes, go to Utah. Arizona has some incredible fishing too. Go there.
You need to move out west.
Then you won't have to drive 20 hours to fish.😊
Do you ever catch and keep n cook trout?
Cmon Rook...what kind of question is that? Everyone is C@R even if it is a lie.
I swear I saw this one before with the goats.
Bighorn Sheep, ewes or very young rams
@@larmolarmo What family do they belong to?
@@dankochanek8056 sheep
Bighorn Sheep and Mountain goats are in the same family (Bovidae). They're even in the same Subfamily (Caprinae) and tribe (Caprini). But they're in different Genus and species. Mountain goats are Oreamnos americanus and Bighorn sheep are Ovis canadensis. Mature Bighorns and Mountain Goats look very different from one another, but they're not that far apart from an evolutionary standpoint, though the two species likely split from one another many hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of years ago. @@dankochanek8056
Endless supply of trout? I don't think so. The Madison seemed that way in the 1970s.
Until people blabbed and articles were written in all of the outdoor magazines. Now guys doing it on social media.
At the 5min mark into the video werr those deer across the river from you🤔🤔
Big horn sheep
Endless? That's what they said about passenger pigeons.
Do you ever keep any fish for a nice meal 😊
Are you a bait chucker? Carry a stringer on your belt? You must be new to flyfishing. Everyone will tell you they are C@R, even if it is a lie. Don't ask such a question again Rook!
Colorado?... or Wyoming?
Wyoming
Arizona, go there.
You gotta stop telling people what state. This is exactly how we thousands of wannabe flyfisherman wandering all over the state.
Colorado is so much nicer than Wyo.
We love tourist season here. Some years you can buy your hunting permit early for the season.
Maine
Have watched quite a few of your videos...
Please walk out a bit prior to netting the fish! They need WATER and NOT rocks to breathe and maintain slime to remain healthy.
It won't have an endless supply of trout after you tell people where it is. Duh
Some of those were cutbows
