  • In this video "Finding Gold in quartz veins of the river" I head to a winter creek to find gold that i may have missed in the summer months with low water levels. Some of the gold found is very coarse and may be shedding from the quartz vein itself. Join my journey into one of my favorite locations to snipe underwter for possible gold bearing Quartz.

Love the way you handle technology, Levi, way out in the wild - the cameras and apps you use, the wet suit attire you acquired, the dredging tools you manipulate like a dentist extracting teeth. PLEASE keep safe so you can keep developing your truly exceptional gold hunting videos FOR US, because when we watch them, at least for a few minutes, our hearts and spirits are their with you. 👉🏻You have the knack of literally making it feel the same as going on a gold trip with you👈🏻. Thank you, Levi

Awesome footage buddy, I definitely love the sniping. That's bloody awesome that your trying to source your merchandise locally, it's heaps better quality usually. I love it when I find a decent decomposing quartz vein in the river, they're the best gold traps, you'll be surprised how deep into it can make it's way down.

Have you ever considered a cable and Come-Along system with Winter tire chains on the end to grab big rocks and boulders ? Hand operated, quiet and with a simple bicycle chain lock can hookup to large trees near the spot. They pull most cars and light trucks.
Two smaller pieces look from a different source too !

Pannings a great process to get comfortable with but I love watching your sniping vids its something I've never done and you're showing me how and where to look for gold here in my neck of the woods of Oregon in the states. Whatever you decide I'll continue to watch and follow you on your adventures, as you know conditions here are not as preferable with this pandemic, but soon it will get better. I'm praying anyhow. Very good job of mixing in the beautiful scenery and background music! I agree with you about that rough gold - doesn't look like it's traveled down the creek, so must have come from the quartz veins. Thanks again for taking us along on your adventures, Levi!

  • @scottdawson7805

Do not know if you saw it but I saw two things and one you should investigate.
At 9:51 your are working on a picker at the top of the screen you can see another shining.
At 10:50 you are scraping and I see what appears to be Malachite. Malachite is a green copper oxide mineralization often associated with a gold bering quartz veins.
You are correct that the coarse gold is coming from the quartz vein. My eyes see various levels of mineral in the surrounding rock.
A mine geologist once told me that gold wears an iron hat and in your video as you come into the area you can see lots of iron stain in the creek that tells a lot a about the area mineralization. A metal detector and a pin-pointer detector will be beneficial wet or dry in locating gold.
Find quartz veins and follow them detecting the potential of a large find is great. You will need bigger rock busting tools.

I never get tired of sniping. It is like I am there with you. I was just about to head out for a gold detect & had a quick look online & saw your post here. I couldn't go without watching it. Got to love those spots that you know will replenish with gold after floods. At least with sniping, water is your friend. The big floods bring the gold & you need a certain amount to work the areas. Too much can be a hindrance as can little to no water. Some nice gold mate. Well done & well deserved. Got me all revved up to find some now. See you on your next adventure. John from New Zealand :)

It would be interesting to see if there are any rich panning areas in those locations. But if not I would do whatever got me the most gold. Be interesting to take a cordless hammer drill to that quartz vein when the water is down. Could be thousand ounce per ton pocket hidden in one of them for you someday. They are out there and the old timers didn't find them all.

Can’t wait for the merch. Nice looking tear drop bits. The quartz veins are a great find and are a great source of the gold . If your finding less and less or little to none the further you work up stream the you probably found it. Have you ever made it to the source of the river and worked back down stream to pin point the true source?

Beautifully done video as always my friend. As to your question, I don’t think I will ever get tired of watching you snipe for gold. Your videos are just so well done and the beauty of the land is just so peaceful to me. By the end of watching a video my blood pressure must be down by 20 or 30 points. I can’t help but wonder, if in the more remote “less traveled” parts of the rivers, have you ever considered building a device that you could just wedge down in a choke point and just leave it there for several weeks or months. You could build ripples and maybe put some miners moss tacked to it. It could be sluicing the river for you 24/7 while you are away. It’s just a thought and of course you run the risk of someone taking it but maybe you could camouflage it enough under some white water where it wouldn’t be noticed? Again just me thinking out loud and my thanks for your wonderful content! Stay safe out there.

Man, just watching you struggle I came up with a few tools you
Could add to your kit that would help you. One being an extension on that crowbar. You could drill a small hole in the bar that a cotter pin could fit into about 10cm from the straight end. Find a steel pipe the same length as your bar that would fit over the bar it and drill a matching hole. Now you have and extension to your bar and wayy more leverage. I don’t know if you were but you can use another rock under the bar to get more leverage that way too. Could go with a titanium tube to listen the load

Hi Levi, I'm a new subscriber, love your vids! Not only because of the gold, but all togetther, nice nature shots from the air, rivershots, tries, falls, bolders, animals etc. I'm from the Netherland, a flat country, no gold lol and almost no nature left. There is only fishing for me over here...... good luck!

I enjoy the sniping videos too. It looks like you may have found a "reef" in that first spot you were on. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Great hunt, glad to see you had your Ninja's on, I find they're good in the garden! You do look frozen at times! I'm not sure if you tried this, but when I've wanted to move large rocks (& I'll admit not sure I've moved anything quite that large) but I've gotten rid of all the small stuff around it, as much as poss, rather than just zoning in on the monster. I know it's a lot of work, but I've found I've had a better chance of moving whatever it is if everything around it is gone. Probably needs one good storm! Then worth a return. Happy hunting Levi, stay safe y'all... 👍🐾😎

First and foremost, amazing video once again. Now for the rest. I have been watching you for quite some time now and never thought this is getting boring. Always sitting watching your adventures with my mouth hanging open in amazement at the size of the gold in that beautiful country. Watching a pro at work is captivating to see. As far as panning goes. Good at it, bad at it, no bother either way we would all love to see it. Anyways nothing but love from the West coast of Canada. Keep going and I'll keep watching. P.s. glad to see you got some gloves on.👍 Worried about the frost bite. Scary stuff.

Levi that was good. You need a bigger bar that's all, or a come-along maybe. With one of those, you could get those rocks right out of the stream. Good, place indeed. One-piece looked like it had not traveled at all. Ever test that quartz? Needs a good test. I would try to clean up all that gravel. I'd like to see some tin scratching. I don't live in a tin Provence just gold and copper. Mt. Morgan ring any bells?

@10.58 did you get that little nugget at the lower left at the edge of your light? I thoroughly enjoy the content you provide I could tell when you were swinging the detector you really wanted to be sniping lol it’s your channel mate I’ll watch whatever you post no I’ll never get tired of seeing you snipe👊🏻 I agree with going back when it’s dry and checking that quartz with a detector I think it’s a large reef full of gold maybe have your brothers help move the rocks and then check the reef each side of the creek in each direction there may be gold just under the dirt on top of the reef but be warned hard rock mining is tough work lol any way I’ll stop rambling hopefully you got the other piece of gold at 10:58 and THE INTRO 👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻EXTREMELY well done Levi thx for sharing
