The hoodie looks so warm! I am cracking up about the most grandma thing I’ve ever done. I’ve had framed doilies for years. I think of it as delicate art! My grandmother’s friend was from Switzerland and she knitted doilies instead of crochet. The center of yours looks knitted, but I can’t see it well enough.I love beveled glass and mirrors!
I would change the pink to a color that really makes the dollie pop. I call dollies soft architecture. They can be great pieces of art and beautiful. Love the mirror.

Keep the doily in the frame! It’s beautiful. I would love to have it in my bedroom. I use ashes of roses for my bedding and that would be perfect. It would look pretty in a gray room too. A wonderful find.

Jayne Dough I agree. I would put something at the bottom of the basket so it would lift the plant rather than cut it. Good find.
I shop at Thrift stores all the time, for years this is the way I furnished and decorated my home. I gave most of my of my things away now cause I could no longer keep them dusted and cleaned. Now I mostly shop at thrift stores for my jeans and blouses, it’s still fun to go and find the bargains.

Hi, Jamie! I absolutely love the framed doily - even the pink! I’d use it like a tray in the middle of my dining room table, and I’d put a floral arrangement or faux green plant, and maybe a candleholder on it - even maybe a pretty thrifted pitcher.

I thought you were really hyperactive then I realized I had the speed setting on 1.5 !!! :)) I've got a Goodwill about two blocks from my house! I rarely go because I ALWAYS find such cool stuff!! My house is full of "cool stuff!" ;) I LOVE the doily in the frame! It's beautiful just how it is. I found a beautiful hand needlepoint poem of Footprints in the Sand framed. It's on my wall by my computer.

I love the doily! That’d be so cute in my home. Paint the frame white & do either a grey color or the accent color you have throughout your house, for example mine is turquoise.

I"m probably a little late in commenting but the framed doily works well as a tray or centerpiece. It also would work well on top of a round pedestal table.

If you haven't done anything with the round frame yet, it would be so cute as a seasonal wall piece. Like for fall put in leaves, for spring you can put in pressed flowers...etc.
It really is a unique piece and the gold border is so trendy right now.
Ya shoulda got that brass owl! Looks like they sell for at least 45 on good ol ebay. But bet it was heavy though huh..not fun to ship☺️i really think they switch out colors the night before cuz i never find much good stuff that have the half off color😛love the leaf tray, looks mid century& the round doily frame is so boho chic! The mauve background is ok💙i use those bigger wicker baskets for a waste basket in every room.
The doiley is what ladies did before tv. My Mom and Grandmothers made them.

Perhaps it was sent home from Italy after WWII by a serviceman. And the frame is so unusual!!!

What a great Good Will! I probably would use the pink doily gold framed item as a tray. I think it would be pretty that way. Mirrors are very expensive to buy when you are making new ones, so you got a prize there. I love to Good Will shop...I love the thrill of the hunt!
Recover the lace thing. It looks like the old mauve color. I think a darker color would modernize it and the lace would really pop.

What a great price for the skinny jeans! Amazing! I'm always on the look out for gold picture frames too. I actually loved the framed lacework. I framed two small doilies that I got on a trip to Venice. I put them on a green background. The pink background is pretty too. I guess it depends on the color wall you'd be hanging it on. By the way, your hair is looking so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your haul with us.

I had that bowl in my cart until it was time to whittle down. :)

I agree Patti - I'm not a fan of pink ---- but I think if she tries rearranging the piece it won't look as even.
She won't have any problem getting it reattached with the spray adhesive quilters use.
