Hi and welcome back to my channel! Let's go shopping or shall I say "Thrifting" at the “Goodwill” in Cary NC! Follow me around the thrift store and see some unique home décor items, and vintage décor items! It's so much fun to go hunting! You never know what you are going to find in second hand stores. I’m on the hunt for more boho,mid century modern, and farmhouse inspired home décor items. Stay tuned for my haul video that will be posted in the next couple of days. I will show what I got from the thrift store and how I styled the items in my home. Can you the five things I scored on this trip? What would you get? You don't have to spend tons of money to decorate your home. There are beautiful, unique and inexpensive second hand treasures just waiting for you. These home décor items can be found at your local goodwill, Salvation Army and other thrift stores in your area. Thrifting for your home can be a challenge but very rewarding and worth the hunt when you find just the right piece for your home! I really love finding boho and farmhouse décor at thrift stores!

Goodwill is getting a bit too expensive for used stuff ! There is a Ross store in the same strip mall ,think I will start spending my money there except on half price and senior discount days ! Although I am addicted to hunting for that “ oh my ,look at this “ treasures ! Oh well ,what can I say I love the hunt ! And time spent with my daughter is priceless ! Blessed Be to all

The prices at my local goodwill have quadrupled over the last 2 years. I find it irritating seeing things from the dollar tree priced at $1.21 or the original sticker price is still on there and goodwill is asking more than that. It's crazy! I tend to look for dishes and pots and pans. Things that would have belonged to your grandmother. Things that were made to last. I once bought a kitchen table from them and they broke it when trying to move it off the floor! Then they tried to tell me they couldn't refund my money but they could give me store credit. I argued with the manager until she did refund my money. I now go to other towns to go to goodwill.

Ours have done the same. Like to the point that I have developed a healthy ...distaste for them as a "charity".
kawaii girls same as ours. It's crazy how high their prices are. I don't even drop anything off to donate to them anymore. I always drop off my stuff to the Saint Vincent de Paul thrift. They sell the stuff cheap. They also help people in the community pay their rent or their utility bills.

The yellow chair was amazing! I really liked the Minnie coffee cup and corkscrew picture. The doggy treat jar was so cute but it would be broken in a heartbeat around me

You are so lucky!!!!! I don’t have thrift shops in my country.... either you buy on antique shops or online but everything vintage or old is very expansive. I am always amazed at this thrift videos ...loved the silver set....... although it must be silver plated at that price...

I look at clothing mostly. I also love to look at pocketbooks. I always check out the china area to see if I find anything from my childhood era. I love mugs too. I can't get enough of them.

The green teapot was very nice, the basket with green could be used for a potted plant, the tea set was gorgeous, the trinket dish with the plant 👍, I like to go and look and if something "speaks to me" then I might get it. 😃💖☕🌱

I've got that same Pyrex bowl except mine is brown. I got it out of a storage unit. It's really pretty cleaned up with glass cleaner...makes the gold designs super-shiny! 🙂

The "old fashion " chair in the camera to the right is a chair I would purchase and get upholstered with the yellow material...the others chair is better chair...and I like taking period chairs and modernize them...I love thrift...I'm watching RUclips because I am on shopping sabbatical.......nice silver set...if fully silver no...I would melt

All sorts of frog figurines, vintage marked pottery, have at times found Rookwood, Weller, McCoy. Vintage cookie jars...frog and owl characters being in the for-front. 1900-1955 78 records...the list goes on. I'm not a seller, just a collector.

I started collecting Oriental/Asians pics, ornaments, etc. back in college (over 30 years ago). Now, whenever I go "thrifting" that is mostly what I look for. Of course, I keep my eyes open for anything that "draws" me...

This may have been addressed in an earlier comment, but I love the yellow and white chair in the beginning, and the fact that it was only 10 bucks is absolutely insane. Our Goodwill would have had 40 to $50 on that easily

We have a ton of items in our home that we have thrifted. My three favorites are furniture, which my boyfriend has altered and or upgraded after purchase. I need to do a video explaining why we named the TV cabinet Rita, and the old TV/ upcycled bar cabinet, Victor.

Clothes to resell on my poshmark. Im 19 and pregnant and ik ill proly get lots of hate from rude people replying but ik, i made a stupid decision so plz dont hate. But anyways i kept getting rejected every time i applied anywhere sooo im starting to go thrifting for clothes to resell to hopefully make a decent dime since nothing else has worked.
And on the look out for good deals on furniture decor kitchenware etc. Bc we could always use good finds like that

You already know what i like and look for, so i will tell you, what i would have gotten if i was there with you in this trip. Plus 49,99 for a big pot? Crazy! :P I have a ting going on for white and blue, so that thea set i would get that.... Behind the green big doggy treat can there is a white jar standing, maybe i would go for it, looks good! I also saw some christmas things, a snowman spoon i would have taken a look at it! The corkscrew art, Yes so pretty! I would go fo r the minny mouse jar and the light/blue planter with three on it, Stunning!
Yes I'm not really sure what was up with that big pot! The only thing I can think of it it must have been an antique.... I might go back and ask them why they priced it that way. Yes I thought the blue planter with the tree was really cool too! It did have some minor chips on it though😮.

I hope you at least got the doggie cookie jar! I always look for very unique baskets, flower pots, antique porcelain/china, other antique or vintage decorative items, unique frames, bamboo/rattan. Sometimes children's books and decorating or gardening books (which I rarely find).
I love hunting for bamboo and rattan decor!!! I'm not having luck finding any! I'm sure it gets snatched up quick. I'm also looking for Unique children's books for my one year old niece. 😍 Thank you so much for watching!
Yesterday I found an 8 x 10 rattan frame from Pier One, still in its original wrapping. Originally $20, for $2.09! But yeah, I rarely find any really good stuff, especially bamboo.

Yeah I have noticed that the prices are high. I went to Goodwill once and asked for a price on an item. The woman rang it up and said that will be $2 please. I said I just wanted to know how much, your lucky I have it. I know...$2, but it irritated me that she did that. Why do they write the price with a magic marker? I buy kitchen items when I go. Especially, not antiques, but items like my grandmother had. Fun stuff too. It is a good place to get those items.

Asked G.W. Manager why there are never any old Tonka Toys trucks, as I like to repaint them and fix them up. She said they can't sell any if here is any rust on them......something about government regulations. Really glad I live in a free country....too bad it has so many stupid regulations.
