William Grove Ever since Ish called KVD out on SK pre fishing the events for him he hasnt done so well. 5 years since his last win? Like Ish said, you practice all week and you dont see someone in an area. And then tournament day comes and he somehow he found a school in your spot. Amazing....

Never understood their mentalities... Neither of them own the water nor the bass. Ive not been in a tourny while they are going on... Pros roll up and ask me to leave? No im F^%king fishing. I get 1 day off a week
Pros won't ask you to leave. You aren't a pro and you aren't competing for their money. Ike is. It's just a mind game. Ike didn't have to leave, but KVD is just playing hardball and it worked. Gamesmanship.

I don't know KVD. What I've seen of him, I don't care much for him, but he can catch bass with kite string and ping pong balls or thread and cotton balls. He's good no matter what you think about him.
a1scooter1 KVD hasn't done much lately. He got lucky with his 7 time AOY and 4 Classic wins. Good times don't last forever!!!

it appears KVD and Ike seem to have mended relationships because they do press conferences together and seem to have a mutual respect for each other.
KVD may be good (and I mean really good), but that's also his greatest weakness, considering it leads to him being cocky as shown here.
whatever your opinion is about kevin. We all know he has done more for the sport than any other angler ever. you can see he hasn't but we all know he has. He is on a level that can't and probably never will be touched.

I wouldn't say KVD has done more for the sport. There are some guys named Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance and Roland Martin who have done more for the sport than KVD has. KVD is just the flavor of the month.
also for those of you who think mike is far way listen to how loud kevin has to talk. he is talking at a raised but not yelling voice which indicates they were pretty close. there was also wind to make hearing each other tough. I estimate that they were 20 to 30 yards away from each other which in my tournament trail would mean autamatic disqualification. just saying.

No, if you fish tournaments, you know there is an unspoken rule that you don't pull up on another contestant who is fishing that spot. Its disrespectful and outright wrong to fush that close to someone especially if he was there first
TheAvonaca there are quite a few people fishing that area. I think it had more to do with them not getting along.

Personally I wouldn't cross the street to p on either one if they were on fire. Saw kvd at a grip n grin photo deal with customers at a pro shop. Condescending overload. Didn't go over even though some guy from store was waving folks over. Selling t shirts too. This Ike fellow just needs to take a chill pill before someone just plain beats his ass one day. I've had tournament folks run up and start fishing over me then haul ass after a couple of minutes. One pro here in ms I've met that's so fake in his greeting fans it's pathetic. Big I little u is all he is. Even had one try to buy my catch one day in a boathouse getting out of a storm. Makes it so folks like me just don't like going fishing anymore.
