Thank you. I’ve read this parable multiple times and never was able to fully understand it. After reading along with you, it made me realize I’ve been wasting what God has given me. Immediately after I felt the Holy Spirit come over me. Thank you, thank you, Thank you!!!!!🙏

What does verse 23 mean, by putting it in the bank to incur interest

A bit late. I think under normal circumstances you would use a mina too gain more by
trading (Wheat and Oil) which required effort. Banking the money required the least amount of effort.
Yet the third servant still failed to do this.

A typical irony of Jesus. To get it we need to go over to another of his words. Am going to paraphrase. We are all big boys and know it right off. Or we can fact fact check it easier than apple pie. I lie not.
So.in another.place Jesus gently put me to shame
'You spend all this time meticulously managing your finances and investments. AKA you put in all these huge efforts "making friends with the Mammon of Unrighteousness." Read: with a pile of dirty money. Why don't you put that kind of strict attention and work into the kind of riches I am bending over backwards to teach and SHOW you?"
There ends any of my claim to judge anybody. Thank God! I'd make a mess of it. Jesus never did. Never will. Thank God X 10!

What happened to the other 7 servants who were given 1 mina each?

    • @whitesilver162
      @whitesilver162 2 года назад +3

Maybe they were "Christ's enemies"- Those who were killed. (They probably lost their mina). Unless there is another explanation.

Yep. It is one TRUE piece out of the whole body of Jesus's words. And what is Jesus's point by giving us these many individual topics, each containing His words? NOT your words. Not the words of some pastor's contrary words.
      That point?
Yours, mine and our forgiveness, joy, peace, salvation.
This brother here who faithfully lays out this quite complex, deep, merciful, true, instructive parable .........
.......is doing his job. And my own denomination and his are not the same.
Why not this kind of unity? Jesus Himself said, when several of his well-loved disciples got in one of their huffs before the later Pentacost:
We've got better things to do, guys. "If they are not against us, they are for us."
      Touché!
Love you both. from Mark out in the Rocky Mountains.
