I think it's mostly the music video and the admittedly infectious chorus and that it's just one of their most tonal and least abrasive songs. But Kurt grew to hate it, said he could barely get through it when they played it live.

As a Police fan I can confirm that The Police's jam sessions are just a lot of fighting and screaming. And I'm really happy that they were put in this video too, I feel that they're a little underrated when listed as a rock band.

the Nirvana one is accurate, I mean Kurt was never a musical genius. He was just different and lucky because started his career at the perfect time when grunge was becoming mainstream. The dude didnt even know the basic beginner chords on guitar. He was good at song structuring and his music was different like trying a new food so it was a breath of fresh air for the music scene. Thats why the band is insanely popular. Not because hes like Beethoven or anything. 😂
