Loved this show. Everything I've seen on Apple+ so far has been a banger but this was probably my favorite one I've seen. Looking forward to Central Park next, looks like another winner from the Bob's Burgers people.
An accurate depiction of Ubisoft would be taking a great concept for a game, shoving it out before it's finished and full of bugs, and then continuously fucking up the game with each update they release and then downplaying their fuck ups. Fortunately the show is waaaaaay better than Ubisoft.
They keep saying that there hasn't been a video game comedy, or one about the industry, but The Guild fits both those descriptions. Both are different, but there are also some similarities, and funnily enough, many are being mentioned here, as if Mythic Quest was the first. A diverse groups of characters (age, sex, etc.) that centers around video games and (eventually for the Guild) shows the people within the industry who make the games? Yup, check checkity check. Not hating on the show (I like it a lot), and MQ is definitely unique and different from the Guild, but it just struck me that everything they were saying was new ground about MQ was already done by the Guild.
I love Charlotte Nicdao need to see more of her and mcelhenney banter. Not a fan of the testers moaning and groaning. But I love poppy and Ian together.

I really enjoyed the show. I was hesitant, but it really surprised me. Can't wait for Season 2.
I was only surprised that Mac, Charlie and Cricket had anything to do with this steaming crap pile.

I looked it up and it looks like The Guild is about gamers, not game developers. MQ actually reminds me a lot of Silicon Valley at times
