@@Anonymous183- Andrew's Peter Parker brought a new thing to the table which is the more real practical mind of a person. He was a good fucking Peter Parker/Spiderman - I don't care what anyone says, those films were bad because of the writers and producers, not the actors and actresses. Oh well.

JonTron if she don't like be part of it she could leave like Gweneth Paltrow, or Portman. Or she could simply don't talk about it. Jared Leto openly said Fuck WB execs for cutting his Joker scenes, Jeremy Irons openly admitted that BvS plot was too overstuffed. Garfield didn't showed at Sony party after ASM2, it's not like she is small actress or something.
Stef Tep Yeah. How much do you wanna bet that Leto, Irons and Garfield were all scolded by their respective publicists and agencies behind the scenes? These huge studio movies are how actors really make their money. The small stuff can add up sometimes, but whenever someone offering a part in a tentpole movie calls you up, it's a big deal. Even if the script is shit and the director's a hack. You keep your mouth shut, you nod politely and hope the movie makes enough money to offset the scathing critical reviews that may harm your career.
JonTron You're totally right. And don't get me wrong, if I was given a huge amount of money to play goofy Lex Luthor or useless Louis Lane, I would immediately accept and say: "Let's film that motherf***er!" It's more of a problem with Hollywood itself than the actors. I believe many actors wished they were in the experimental era of Hollywood where artistic integrity was still mainstream and no CGI blockbusters existed. It's sometimes so cringey when they have to talk about their character and they know there is as good as nothing to the role, just a placeholder for more action scenes.
OMG, how is she still talking? That's painful! I mean there's major arteries down there including all those bones and nerves concentrated in the ankle and such......That's a strong woman.
Coming here after No Way Home, I think Andrew deserves even more for his portrayal as Spider-man. A universe of his own, a Spider-man of his own as well. Amazing performance by Garfield in No Way Home. I love the pep talk between Toby and Andrew. Toby was basically giving Andrew his flowers for his Spider-man role telling him he was amazing in his role despite the lack of commitment he got from his crew. Also loved Garfield saving Zendaya served as sort of a closure for him after losing Gwen the same way. He did everything in his power to successfully prevent Tom Holland from experiencing that loss and pain.
Is it just me, or is Amy so articulate? She's also revealing how much of a true artist and actor she is. After watching Arrival, I get why the Oscar buzz about her talent, as an actress! :)
Jasper Deckens yes he did (again) - he's now had 3 years where he should have been nominated and hasn't, the academy don't like him & I don't know why.
Andrew honestly IS my favourite Spider-Man. PERIOD. I just wish they could do a multi spider film thing. Like tom for the MCU and The Amazing Spider man as its own and possibly do a live action spider verse with Tom, Andrew and Toby
Yeah, not surprising. People forget that the driving force (at least the main initial one) behind the Amazing Spider-Man movies was the studio wanting to keep the rights to the character and not because they suddenly felt inspired and came up with some comprehensive plan for the character. It was a bit of a desperation move, which it's never a good base to build a whole franchise on.
Yeah....So unfortunate really. It's not his fault at all too. The studio just fucked up so hard. Directors, Producers, writers, those are the people responsible for that mess. They had a goldmine on their hands with the Spiderman franchise AND a wonderful cast with Andrew and Emma but they fucked it all up. Andrew and Emma's chemistry was undeniable, they were an amazing on screen couple and that is something imo the original spiderman movies lacked severely. I love the first movie, the second one was kinda garbage but overall I'm really sad the third one got cancelled because I really liked Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spiderman and after Gwen Stacy's death it would be EXTREMELY interesting to see where Peter Parker's character would go from there and how would he once again deal with the loss of someone really important. All and all I think they should've "finish" the story on a third movie and round out the trilogy and not leave it on a cliffhanger...
I actually wouldn't blame the director Marc Webb for what those films turned into, I mean clearly they chose him for a reason. I feel like the original vision for the film was meant to be more focused on Peter and Gwen and their relationship, thus bring in the director of 500 Days of Summer, a movie about a complicated relationship. And you can actually really feel it in the first movie, it feels like it wants to concentrate on just them but of course Sony had get their hands involved and take creative control away. "No we want backstory on his parents, an elongated vigilante story about tracking down Uncle Ben's killer, the Lizard, setting up The Green Goblin and the Sinister 6, ALL IN THIS MOVIE." If Sony had stayed out of the creative process we could've had a really heart felt and emotionally driven Spider-Man film, where the superhero antics have massive weight on Peter and Gwen together (which would've culminated in her death in Amazing Spider-Man 2). Still makes me sad thinking about it.
I always feel a bit sorry for Andrew. I had absolutely no problem with his performance in both films. He was quite wonderful, but unfortunately he will always have the stigma of being Spider-man in an aborted franchise. Sony really screwed that one up real bad. They didn't learn a thing about what people disliked about Spider-man 3 with the multiple villains and convoluted stories and the doubled down on it by making the entire film an advertisement for future films in the series which makes it even more embarrassing to watch now given how everything ended up. But Garfield and Stone are blameless in their work during the series in my opinion.
I love both these actors. They are extremely talented but they were not given the best material to work with in their big blockbusters movies. I am glad they are being rewarded for their acting in other projects. Don't mistake the actor for the poor material they were given.
Amy Adams was pretty damn good in Enchanted, probably her biggest movie, that launched her too. And that movie is very well received on average, by both critics and audiences.
I don't know about Garfield, but Amy Adams' role as Lois Lane was perfect, not only due to her acting, but because the character was properly portrayed by the director and writers. Her Lois Lane is a huge step up from previous live action incarnations of the character.

Andrew deserves a third movie . He is an amazing actor (based on pure acting talent he is far ahead of the other two ). Also him being so friendly and embracing tom shows that he cares about the character (also he probably doesn't want what happened to him happening to Tom)
You can tell Andrew’s a strong, lovely person. He respects Tom Holland, & not only that, but he accepted what happened & moved onto other roles. He continues to put his best effort into everything he does & does it with kindness & good intent.
Edit: He was the Spider-Man I grew up with so this might be ever-so biased. ❤️😉

@@Anonymous183- Andrew's Peter Parker brought a new thing to the table which is the more real practical mind of a person.

I wish people would stop saying The Amazing Spider-Man was bad, just because its sequel got negative reviews. The Amazing Spider-Man was praised. In fact, plot is not all that makes a film great. The cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is enough to make both of those films great for me. Stef Tep
Yeah.
And don't get me wrong, if I was given a huge amount of money to play goofy Lex Luthor or useless Louis Lane, I would immediately accept and say: "Let's film that motherf***er!"
It's more of a problem with Hollywood itself than the actors. I believe many actors wished they were in the experimental era of Hollywood where artistic integrity was still mainstream and no CGI blockbusters existed. It's sometimes so cringey when they have to talk about their character and they know there is as good as nothing to the role, just a placeholder for more action scenes.

Redemption for Garfield in No Way Home. He was incredible!!!
I love the fact that Andrew basically says "the story and the character were second"
"No we want backstory on his parents, an elongated vigilante story about tracking down Uncle Ben's killer, the Lizard, setting up The Green Goblin and the Sinister 6, ALL IN THIS MOVIE."
If Sony had stayed out of the creative process we could've had a really heart felt and emotionally driven Spider-Man film, where the superhero antics have massive weight on Peter and Gwen together (which would've culminated in her death in Amazing Spider-Man 2).
Still makes me sad thinking about it.
You're first a person. What do you want?
pjtiger10 i scrolled down the exact moment he talked about it lol
I always feel a bit sorry for Andrew. I had absolutely no problem with his performance in both films. He was quite wonderful, but unfortunately he will always have the stigma of being Spider-man in an aborted franchise. Sony really screwed that one up real bad. They didn't learn a thing about what people disliked about Spider-man 3 with the multiple villains and convoluted stories and the doubled down on it by making the entire film an advertisement for future films in the series which makes it even more embarrassing to watch now given how everything ended up. But Garfield and Stone are blameless in their work during the series in my opinion.

Sony is a piece of shit for wasting such a high caliber actor
Christian Caves
They did make a real good spiderman game though
@@redx8086 that's completely different in relation to this
Gregory Miranda
I know i just wanted to talk about the game
@@redx8086 so the game is a continuation upon the second movie in the same universe?
@@L0TUST3NSHI No, the game has it's own story, nothing to do with movies or comics
Andrew you'll always be Spider-Man to me
But millions will still and always prefer Tobey. Because well, he was the first..
PRLostGalaxy2014 first big Hollywood Spidey; not first live action. Gosh, that film...
PRLostGalaxy2014 First doesn't always mean best.
Inception Report I agree
i think andrew was pretty well into spidey's character he really caught it well especially in the 2nd movie.
I hope you're joking. The second movie was terrible
The movie was pretty shit obviously but in terms of the character Andrew Garfield played the best spiderman out of all of them.
@@a_ndy2837 i agree. And the best interpertation of the early 2000s comic Peter Parker as well
Tutorials 4 You I don’t think he did good as a peter parker, but his Spiderman was great.
Meh
Andrew was too good looking for the peter parker role
He got his second chance ! Would love to see him with morbius and some other villains
He was a great guy. He enjoyed his job, and he did what he had to do. But, the director and staff made the story so bad and complicated, and it broke his heart, because he had to play his role, no matte what.
Aakolick GP i agree, much like Raimi’s Spiderman 3 the story was bad. It had too many confusing storylines slapped onto the movie. If it just focused on one sole villain (green goblin, or rhino or electro that’d be fine) if they killed off Gwen mid way through the movie and left Peter struggling to be Spiderman or then finding himself and fighting green goblin at the end again, that would have been awesome
Lightknight11 Raimi’s spiderman 3 wasn’t as good as it could have been because the studio wanted him to cram all the villains into the film
WKA 1441 i know that, the idea of cramming villains is dumb in all honesty
Lightknight11 yeah, it was still an alright movie tho
Andrew you'll always be my Spider-Man
same 😔
They redeemed him in No Way Home, it was beautiful!
Thanks Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal!
Don't fret Andrew, the fans are going to give you a trilogy closure!
Every girl be like: tom is the best looking spiderman
Me:....but...Andrew
That’s the one of the reasons I didn’t like his Peter Parker. He looked too cool!
Believe me not everygirl... only cringe mcu fans
smy plt I’m an MCU fan and I think he’s the Andrew is the most cool looking spiderman ever.
And if you think Marvel has a cringey fanbase, wait till you see DC. All they have is “ThE DaRk KnIgHt” and “jOkEr” and “YoU ArE JuSt A KiD”
@@Itskfx you really think DC fanbase is trasher? They at least accept which movie is trash and which isn't. Y'all don't even do that.
Normal Gamer The Hulk movies, Thor The dark world.... who said we don’t? And we do more than DC.
poor andrew he was such a great pete/spidey, that was sony's fault
César Delgado he was a great spidey but not a great Parker.
César Delgado Tobey was a better Peter Parker despite crying a lot
TheGamingProdigy Garfeild's Peter was way too cool. It was like he was Spiderman with the mask on and off. Maguires was the perfect sort of awkward nerd, but his Spiderman lacked alot of quippy oneliners. I think Holland captures the best of both worlds.
César Delgado he was neither of these. He was just a trying to be forced by fans into the MCU reboot. His movies felt out of place and garbage, too much romance. Also how could he continue playing a 16 year old character while he is 30 plus
@@michaelgill1529 well it's because of sony who decided to make peter parker into a fucking punk ass skater
Amy Adams really tryna flex her red bottom with that left foot 😂
Michael Okon as well as Garfield with the right foot lol
Yeah that shit wack
@@kylie2461 hence the flexing
@@kylie2461 Louboutins, not LV
That's the only real way to postion one's foot when crossing one's legs with high heals on.
For me, Andrew > Tom
Edit: No hate, I still like Tom, is just that it more fits to Andrew as Spiderman. For me. Only my opinion.
No hate but your opinion is wrong

@@bogibogdanovic9253 Your legit stupid, I never said I liked Tom over Andrew and opinions can’t be wrong dumbass.
I love Amazing Spider-Man 2 no matter what people say.
Same
For Andrew Garfield im gonna watch all his Movie because his my favorite actor and spiderman
@Spectre N7 I massively disagree. Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 2 gave easily the most emotional performance as Peter Parker. Andrew had one scene, while the entire Spider-Man 2 was a character study of Peter Parker, and expresses emotions much more, and better
@@rohdecostello4767 who cares? Just enjoy both
Me to I thought I was the onlyone
I honestly think Andrew Garfield did so well for what he was given like the first amazing spider Man was actually really good he was just so unlucky and how Sony treated the film
I'd love to see more of this. Both have played iconic roles in films that have potentials, but ended up screwed by the studio...
How so? Sorry I'm new to these people
How come? I watched neither sorry aha
@@hollyg7346 Andrew played as Spider-man in Amazing Spider-man and Amy played as Lois Lane in Man of Steel and their sequels. Both movies were a modern retelling of well known comic books stories, and their performances gained some praises.
However, both movies were also infamous for the executive meddlings, with the studios pushed to make a franchise with no regard to quality.
I love the true kindness in her eyes for him. Her experience shines through
Glad that Andrew proof that with a good script, his Spider-Man is gonna be great.
I love Andrew’s performance in everything he’s done and I’m glad he has tick tick book now where the writing brought out his talents ☺️❤️
focusing on the bottom of their shoes haha i love them both though.
Rebecca Chen I felt ridiculous that I noticed that...glad I'm not alone hahahaa
Rebecca Chen Omg same 😂
Jimmy choo’s or louboutin’s one or the other
Theze is red bottomz these iz bloody shoes 😂
I think thats the first thing I noticed too! Christian Louboutin knew what he was doing when he decided on red 😂
This makes me sob for Andrew, imagine loving a character so dearly from your childhood, you put in your all but you get fucked over by everyone else decisions. I feel the pain in his voice.
Andrew is such a good actor. I hope they make a live action spider verse so he can reprise his roll
and maybe a live-action Miles Morales that would be epic!!!
Yung Sooty it hasn’t been teased
@Yung Sooty a movie with the three of them will make records worldwide.
Yung Sooty i think so
He got his redemption really nice
I will always love all 3 Spider-man actor's because they all shined in their own way 🤩
That’s a good way of looking at it
I agree for sure 100%
Exactly! Tobey is best at playing Peter, Andrew is best at being Spidey, Tom is just a ruined version of both. Tom relied more on his suits and avengers then his own abilities.
@@doveradrenaline7068 it pains me to admit how Spider-Man is weak in this universe. They should have built it up before civil war to give the character more depth. That way he wouldn’t be iron man jr.
@Prince Cooper bully maguire is the G.O.A.T
and just watch the movie to understand it before commenting here
Tobey will always be my Spiderman, but Andrew's absolutely ripped my heart to shreds with his performance. And Tom is just so loved by everyone.
