Well yeah. Given there are 16 different watch configurations, and 55 different bands. I worked out that if Apple were to box box the band and watch together they’d need to make over 800 different combinations. Makes complete sense that they make the boxes separate.

The faster charging is really remarkable on a small device like this. I had my Series 7 die while I was sleeping last night so when I woke up around 7 am EST, I immediately put it on the puck charger plugged into a 30W brick, and in about an hour it was fully charged. I was very pleasantly surprised it would fully charge that quick.
There’s no plastic because of the customisation options for the watch. The packaging helps when it comes to sliding out the inserts and replacing it with whatever band the customer orders.
Got my 45MM starlight watch! Love it so much, the keyboard swipe thing is so cool once you get used to it! I don’t see myself upgrading my watch for at least 2/3 years! I hope I can keep it pristine. The starlight looks and feels so luxurious!

fun fact: The little connector inside the watch is actually for software installing. When a watch needs a software reset, you can't put it into recovery mode, so you take it to the Genius Bar, which in turn they will 100% send it out to the offsite facility, where they connect your watch to their systems and get the job done. That's free obv.
