There was a game in the second to last week of the 1983 Season between the Washington Redskins & Dallas Cowboys which was hyped to oblivion as The Game with good reason as both teams were 12-2 both had scored the most points in the NFL that season both teams were filled with a litany of talent and the outcome of The Game would decide who would get the Number 1 seed in the NFC The two teams had played an epic Monday night game in the opening week of the season where the Cowboys overcame a 20 point deficit to defeat the redskins 31-30 everybody was expecting The Game to be a barn burner unfortunately The Game was an Blowout as the Redskins crushed the Cowboys 31-10 and was the beginning of the end for the Dallas Cowboys under Legendary coach Tom Landry

I give you Jake Delhomme in Super Bowl 38.. an undrafted free agent with as much pressure as you can put on one’s shoulders went toe to toe with prime goat as he went 16 of 33 for 323 yards 3 TDS & zero picks against the number 1 talent laden patriot defense. I think the chiefs will make the Super Bowl again and become the first repeat champions since 03-04 pats w Brady and belichick.
