Today's video is about how to make the rear bumper on your truck or car look a little nicer. This Dodge Ram has a chrome rear bumper and i try to keep it in good condition by polishing it every now and then. Unfortunately, there are these three ugly holes in the middle here. They got all rusty and some original rubber plugs are missing already. Some people use the holes for a trailer hitch and stuff but I don't. So I found some matching replacement plugs online and ordered them for a couple bucks. I'll put them in right now to show you what it looks like and whether it improves the look at all. On my 2nd gen. ram I got a one inch and two three quarter inch plugs. They come in black or in chrome. I want to put the chrome ones on to give the bumper a nice clean chrome finish. But first I take out the old rubber plug. I use polishing wadding to clean the faded edges at the holes first. The bumper is actually still in pretty good condition and I'm curious if the new caps will improve the appearance. I will give you a closer look on the caps here, they are made of ABS plastic and they have these slats that will hopefully ensure that they do not fall out while driving. I think that's good because I already lost two of the old rubber plugs. Before I press them in I put some WD40 oil on the holes so that the caps can slide in easier. Then I'm pushing them in by hand which seems to be a little hard but at least that way they don't fall out. I am not using tools like a hammer or anything because I don't want to scratch or bent the chrome heads. So now all three are sitting in nice and tight. I Just cleaned off the excess oil and I really like the result. The new caps make the bumper look nice and solid and gives the rear end a newer cleaner appearance. If you have a painted rear bumper you might want to go with the black plugs but keep in mind that they stick out a little more than the chrome ones. I hope my little video was helpful. Thanks for watching and until next time, geramicc85 signing out.

Do you get nasty looks driving that truck in Germany? I used to live in rural USA where trucks like yours are commonplace, but I drove an amg mercedes. everyone gave me death stares and called me a yankee.
