This is your car bro? it's amazing. I am looking for a v6 for 100 hp more compared to the 2.0t but at the same time I am worried about fuel consumption. Do you recommend any?
The VR6 is a non turbo engine which yes does make about 300hp compared to the 2.0 TSi (turbo) making 200ish. Just depends on what you want, the e888 engine has probably one of the biggest communities when it comes to making big power since they used this engine in everything in the VW lineup and most non S line Audis. the VR6 might give you more trouble maintenance wise but the sound amazing.
The vr6 is a solid choice, and come awd. But the after market is limited for them. The 2.0t has a wide range of options, parts and tunes The majority of mk5/6 parts cross right over and bolt up. With simple bolt ons and a tune you can have close to 300hp, or running a ko4 can get you close to 350-380. I had this cc for a few years, and put on about 20-25k miles. I did all the major maintenance myself . Timing chain and carb cleaning, plugs coils etc. I believe this car will see 200k if taken care of properly (unfortunately, I am actually selling it) Highway I can get mid 30mpgs, city mid 20s, I was surprised with how efficient it can be if you drive it gingerly
@armymatt83 the thing that sucks there is that there are a major lack of front lips for the sport/Lux bumpers. The R line bumper has a few aftermarket options
