LYRICS
I'm the river, I'm the rain
The lonesome whistle of a train. I'm the amber waves of grain
I'm the highway, I'm the farm
The fertile fields and boulevards. The hand that rests over your heart
Oh, Oh, Oh
I'm the echo of the bell that’s ringing
Oh, Oh, Oh
I'm the freedom in the song we’re singing
I'm the seed that’s in the dust
I'm the prayer “in God we trust”
The place to dream for all of us
I'm America
I'm the music to the dance
The open window to a chance
The place where courage takes a stance
All the colors that you see
The lights from thirty-thousand feet
Yeah…I’m the roar of victory!
I'm the fathers, I'm the sons.
I'm the footprints in the mud.
I'm a shelter washed in blood

José Feliciano is a nine-time Grammy and Lifetime Achievement Award winning Puerto Rican-born musician, singer and composer. He is known for many international hits, including his rendition of “California Dreamin’” featured in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 hit movie “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”, The Doors’ “Light My Fire”, “Che Sarà”, “La Copa Rota”, “Por Qué Te Tengo Que Olvidar?”, and one of the best-selling Christmas songs of all time “Feliz Navidad”. In 1968, Feliciano stirred national controversy and made history as the first artist ever to stylize the national anthem. His soulful recording of “The Star-Spangled Banner” became the first version of the anthem to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. José Feliciano's new album "Behind This Guitar" was produced by long-time collaborator and Grammy-nominated producer Rick Jarrard. It features the single "Behind This Guitar" and a cover of "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac.

I had the honor to have Jose Feliciano on one of my flights , I gave him my Ipod so he could here all his songs during the flight , what a humble guy , at the end of yhe flight he told me , wow you have taken me back in time , listening to all my music , I bet he still remembers that moment, so happy I was able to meet him on one on one. I'll never forget that moment. ALFRED ROLDAN AMERICAN AIRLINES NYC/ PR

Hi Mi hermano Jose' I previously made some comments on your channel. In it I stated that I too was born in Lares Puerto Rico in 1947and came to the US when I was about 5 years old. The I went back with my mom and my 2 brothers and 1 sister to visit our grandma and stayed there for the school vacation. While we waited for my dad to send us money so we could come back to the US, we went to school for a few weeks at Consuelo Gonzalez school. My grandma lived in Lares in a area called El Caserio. There was a placed called El Bajadero, La Quebrada, Landon, El Pink. In the days my uncle Amado Cruz was a top car mechanic in Lares. Also The Dicupe family were well known.🇵🇷
Should be Lanon and El Pino.
Congratulations ! Very appropriate for the times. God Bless you. LOL Phyllis and CousCous
