The ConstruKction Of Light
Pain day sky beauty die black joy
love empty day life die pain passion
joy black day hate beauty die life
joy ache empty day pain die love
passion joy black light
And if God is dead what am I,
a fleck of dirt on the wing of a fly
hurtling to earth
through a hole in the sky
And if Warhol’s a genius, what am I,
a speck of lint on the penis of an alien
buried in gelatin
beneath the sands of Venus
Time sun hurt trust peace dark rage
sad white rain sun anger hurt soft
trust night rage rain white hope dark
sacred sun time trust hurt rage anger
rain white light
And if a bird can speak, who once was a dinosaur,
and a dog can dream; should it be implausible
that a man might supervise
the construction of light
the construction of light
Pain day sky beauty black die joy
love empty time sun hurt trust peace
dark rage sad white rain hate anger
hope sacred passion life night ache soft
light

One of the most astonishing basslines I've ever heard
Warr guitar*
Tony Levin once called it one of the best touch guitar bass parts ever written.
Based Trey Gunn
HEHEHE I AM A MASKED WARRIA Tony on bass reminds me of Jimi on guitar. Humble enough to disregard the acolades.
that stick!
This is one of my favorites KC tracks ever.
...como os sons das antigas deles, raro!
This is what I show the younglings who have never heard KC
@@InsaneCarville Yeah, either this or Level Five. Still, as a long time KC fan, this album, Thrak and The Power to Believe are their best albums. In The Court and Red is kind of overrated.
@@almightyhotdoglady5383 hell nah red and court aren't overrated in any means, they were groundbreaking and influenced everything that came after (mostly court). That's why they are perfectly rated
I was fortunate enough to see this performed live in Nashville but even more fortunate to sneak into a soundcheck and watch them practice for an hour
the more i listen to it
the more i like it
i do think its good
It remains consistent
@@monger6689 I wish you were here to see it!
The fact is...
@@vivelagauche3564 No matter how closely I study it
My favorite post-Bruford KC album.
King Crimson represents the pinnacle of musical achievement in a band format and this period of King Crimson, for me at least, represents the pinnacle of the band. Sublime is the only descriptor I have that comes close.
We can really picture a dystopian world/aftermath of some apocalyptic event with the last trilogy (THRAK, ConstruKction and Power to Believe)
THRAK - Solitude, Fear of darkness, isolation.
ConstruKction - Insanity, emotional distress, pressure.
Power to Believe - The utter brutality of the reality and how things seems to be going.
This is how I interpret this era of King Crimson. It makes even more sense given the dawn of the millennium and the Power to Believe's post-9/11 release.
"Coda: I Have a Dream" really reflects that theme of hope in a diseased world.
Listening to this I feel hope

6:54 A SPEC OF LINT ON THE WHAT OF AN ALIEN 💀
I can't believe it took so long for someone to point that out
Masterpiece of a song and album
Tcol fans are legit a menace to society
@@Baton793 you have definitely frakctured your skull sometime in your life
God this song is so good on every instrument
this is King Crimson's best piece of work (not particularly this recording, but japan and Bonn recordings are astonishingly good). Fight me
this KC iteration has huuugely grown on me. darkest, most technical....kind of the penultimate form
I feel it is like a diamond. So precise, pure, intricate, many angles. It lives up to its name. It is one of those tracks like Starless that combines every element of the previous KC phases, but in such a fluid way it distinguishes itself as something apparently totally new. The emotive quality is distinct from their previous works, and even the rest of the catalogue. Like slipping into an arcane dream state. Some of the ProjeKcts convey similar feelings (ProjeKct 3 in particular), but there the structure is chaotic, and here it seems mathematically precise.
Hypnotic track.
This is inKcredible!
Playing this just once in a maternity ward is guaranteed to create a small army of evil geniuses
This one is SO GOOD.
私が過去に度肝を抜かれた曲の一つ。究極のアンサンブル。なんて美しい。まるで万華鏡を覗き込んでいるようです。
This is amazing, love the vocals and bassline.
This is a Super Unsettling Song to me, And it Only Gets More And More Uncomfortable as The Lyrics Begin, But I Like That, I Love it When Pieces of Art Make me Feel Something, Whether it be Unintentional or Intentional, Negative or Positive, it's an Enriching Experience For me
Esta pieza es toda una experiencia
i cant express how this makes me feel, but it's crazy. i freaking love it
My Word! Amazing bassline, beautiful voicecs. And on headphones...
Awesome track, that makes perfeKct sense to me.
This is one of my favorites also...

The tour was incredible! Conegliano It, present💪🏻
King of pure durable creative revolutionary of Experimental Progressive Rock Band of all Time!
This album is such a masterpiece
that part around the 4 minute mark is gorgeous
킹 크림슨의 실험성이 극에 닿을 대로 닿은 곡. 최고.
Su ki nao eo!
Honesrtly, if you replace this album with the live versions of the songs from the Japan dvd, it's in with a shout of being King Crimson's best album
Check out The Reconstrukction of Light - it sounds far, far better than the original and very close to the live versions.
@@fortnitejimmy-ih3dn It sounds like another album, with all different titles,
@@clubninja7945The thing you found on RUclips was parts of a boxset... that isn't ACTUALLY ReconstruKction.

Adrian Belew i miss youu
I wish there was a version with the extra lines from the KC50 series, but with the original drum track (that version is from ReconstruKction).
Yeah, seriously. The lyrics part is my favorite part...
Este track debería ser considerado gentz
8 yrs old, nuclear fusion made sense. This track decades later reminds me of late sixties, the innocence!!!
I love this album, it is fascinating to here it remixed like this.
la línea de bajo mas violenta de la historia documentada
¡es que no tienen fin! Son y serán , para mi, un clásico.
My favorite KC song!
Late period Crim is boss.
Do not go to 6:52, scariest shit I've ever listened into my entire life

Best individual 1994-2023 KC song IMO, the way its open up, ahhh

The chorus of them just harmonically saying different concepts and feelings goes so hard for no reason

I love the title track in it's entirety, but my favorite part has to be 3:07.
That's when you KNOW it's KC. Reminds me of Three of a Perfect Pair.

Pat Mastelotto is the only drummer that knows how to make electronic drums sound great. Even Bruford can't pull that off.
Yes he can, and yes he did.
But he did tons of times... They're both really good drummers, and I think the Double Trio is proof of both their skills.
Math rock pioneers, Art rock masters
is there a version of this where pat plays acoustic drums (like what they did with Frakctured on Reconstrukction of Light)
the live version is roughly that I'd guess- it's incredible - far better than this (already really good) version imo: ruclips.net/video/P0CKURk0RXk/видео.html
The ConstruKction Of Light !!!
Wouldve fit nicely on League of Crafty Guitarists
The posted lyrics on the video the last verse the words black and joy need to be swapped with one another to be accurate just noticed

Listening to this on an edible, and I'm somehow dancing to it
Vou pra casa da mamãe e vou levar as crianças quero o divórcio duplo e quero ficar com tudo que tenho direito
Hair raising stuff...
As progressive as progressive gets, if not the pinnacle
Astonishing bass and guitar lines, if only they could have found someone to write some non-silly lyrics...
I like the lyrics. They are bizarre but thats kind of cool imo. It paints almost a psychedelic picture. The lyrics is just as wierd as the rest of the song.
I can see this becoming one of King Crimsons ability if Araki ever decides to make an alternate universe stand for KC
You realize there are no Jojo fans here, right? Only fans of the band, if you wish to talk about Jojo I recommend commenting on a Jojo video
@@lucashimself_ Well it can be a possibility, maybe if Araki ever comes across this video accidentally and maybe then we'll get another variant of King Crimson.
I came here to suggest something that came out of my mind than a fucking 9 year old screaming quotes and references all around the comments section
@@lucashimself_ there is no need to be rude bud
@@Look_Upon_The_Heart I wasn't rude friend, just trying to communicate that this comment section is not the best place to talk about an unrelated anime. You should try to understand what people mean before telling them they are being rude, I fear an unhealthy discussion could happen because of a silly misunderstanding.
Ah yes, my Stand, 「SpeKc of Lint」
This is their masterpiece. I still think this is their best album. ConstruKction of Light, FraKctured, Lark's Tongues 4 are peak "audio architecture" Crimson tracks, whereas The World's My Oyster Soup Kitchen Floor Wax Museum is IMO their best "chaos track". It's a very stark and brutal album (not as brutal as The Power to Believe, however).
