Thanks Les. Nice to see some local content. and what an amazing variety. I didn't realize there was so much going on at Stockport. I drive under the viaduct on the M60 Regularly and fly in and out of Manchester so ts very much home ground for me.
I've used that Norwich to Lime St service a few times to get back & forth to Peterborough. It's the last remnant of the long gone M&GNJR, whose system included the apparently truly magnificent Melton Constable hub. I really wish there were more cross-country diagrams from Norwich.
Its amazing what cross country routes now exist. Its like the Manchester Bournemouth Cross Country train is a successor to the Pines Express over the Somerset & Dorset.
Awesome footage as usual, however, to nitpick, at 6.50 you had the binliner from Runcorn folly Lane, the description said to be incinerated on Merseyside, Runcorn is in fact in Cheshire.
Great content Leslie. Stockport is certainly a good station to film - plenty of varying traction to see. Great to have caught up at Carlisle yesterday and hopefully see you at MRS on Friday.
You love your stations with the long approaches dont you Leslie? lol. Never knew Stockport was that big. Smashing video...finishing on the 69. All the best.
I wonder how often a 59, a 60 and a 69 are filmed passing through the same station within an hour or so of each other? Not sure I've seen a Northern class 323 before.
Really enjoying your videos, never really interested, but thanks to J I have started to watch The rail companies should be grateful to you for the publicity you are giving them and should provide you with free travel and the stations should provide you with free hot drinks and a sandwich

Glad you enjoyed it! Much more there than I expected
Well done Les. Some great shots and variety. The wires and gantry make an unusual tunnel effect
They do - I like how it looks. Thanks
Very nice Les. Pleasant change from the Citadel 😊 Colin.
Thanks 👍
Nice change of location Les. Your train description are always impeccable & interesting John
Many thanks!

Great video Les, nice to see you down in this neck of the woods. Congratulations on 5k subscribers!
Thanks 👍 It was a great change
Great spot for trains and Planes. Flown over that B&Q many times and wondered where it was.
Thanks David - I tried to capture the planes but the low cloud stopped me focussing on them properly.
Hello les kevin who spoke to you at carisle last year good video ,always like the signal box there and nice the arches the ridge
Thanks!
At the recently opened Headbolt Lane station in Kirkby, the stunt neck to the Knowsley Railfreight Terminal is next to the Wigan/Manchester platfrom.
Thanks for clarifying where the loading point is. Must be pretty smelly for the passengers.
Thanks! Great content and editing 🎉
Much appreciated! Thanks your comments are welcome

Yes I agree but I was playing on the Liverpool / Manchester rivalries - plus the Mersey does pass Runcorn. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Leslie enjoy the weekend and the rest of your day 😎🚂
Thanks, you too!

Thanks Euan - hopefully we wont be drowned out by a loitering Class 57 at Glasgow!
I couldn't imagine having to sit on one of those Cross Country services the whole way to or from Bournemouth...
Unfortunately comfort is well out of the window these days in modern units so the 220s are almost as good as it gets
The Norwich/Liverpool service isn't far behind in time taken.
Another super video great variety. Thank you, Leslie.
Thanks so much!

Hard to find places with a similar approach! Glad you liked it
Awesome footage Leslie thank you for sharing
Andy

I was expecting the 60 but the others were a surprise!
That was an awesome session Leslie, didn't realise that so many passenger companies ran out of Stockport!
Quite a range passing through
Great location nice change
I think so too!
59104 well out of area! 🙃
Now its owned by Freightliner, wheel turning is done in Leeds
Really enjoying your videos, never really interested, but thanks to J I have started to watch

Haven't seen a decent signal box in years.
They are there - these should have been replaced several times since the Manchester - Crewe electrification on the early 1960s.
Movimentação de trem bom dia leslier
Thanks!
Superlative photography.
Many thanks!
I wish he would stop being on the wrong platform when any freight train comes through.
I'm usually exactly where I mean to be
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Your platform positioning is top quality. Love all of your videos.
@@harrison1053 thanks that's much appreciated!

Twice? You really are generous.
Interesting, only shows once on my RUclips balance. Regardless, great work!
