A Cold frosty morning at Carlisle Citadel with a low sun on a bright day.
Colas are using a relatively new (to them) Class 43 on the test train, ex-Cross Country.
Three ex Trans Pennine Class 68s are on the Rail HEad Treatment Trains.
The Dalston tanks are being run in daylight, instead of the usual early morning schedule.
Locomotive Services has sent a rake of six Mk 3 coaches, with barrier vans, to be stored at their new depot on the site of the old BT Carriage shed and sidings. The train was brought by a pair of Class 37s.
Network Rail sent a StoneBlower south from Dumfries, en route to Preston while you may notice a Colas tamper tantalisingly in High Wapping Sidings whilst between use in track relaying at Currock Junction.
    Finally the Logs heads south.
