New Delhi Municipal Council organised the 2-day Flower Food Festival at the Palika Services Officers Institute, Chanakyapuri. The event showcased experts and home cooks from different states who prepared dishes from flowers and plants such as rose ras malai, drumstick flower kofta from Kolkata, lotus stem kebab from Kashmir, Kahwa and Phirni from saffron and other ingredients.
From the old-world kitchens of Awadh is zafrani biryani, desi gulab ki kheer and a signature tea called Rahat Bakht CChai made with five flowers - roselle, lavender, cardamom, passionflower and rose. Among other dishes are rice and parathas made with mahua blossoms.
In this video, we take you on a tour of the beautiful fest sharing the delectable dishes made by the chefs. They used these flowers and plants to produce organic holi colours, protein bars, energy bars, and much more. Watch this video till the end to get detailed information.
