Perfect explanation, Bravo 👏
That's why I claim that pushers win not just at the 3.0 level but at EVERY level. The only reason people don't realize this is that high level players are pushing is that their technique and athleticism is so great that they can hit the ball very hard even when they push ("pushing" meaning "holding back enough on the power until you can make ten shots in a row").
Except that’s not what a pusher is.
Consistent players win at all levels of the game. Some people might argue what constitutes a pusher, but I tend to agree with you.
@@davidhale8034 Any 3.0 player who's not a pusher would be hitting like a pusher if he held back on the power to the point that he could make ten shots in a row. Holding back on the power is what makes you a pusher.
hm, i agree with you, but on the other hand i find it very refreshing to have once a while a training session with the simple goal to hit as hard as i can (without losing consistency too much, that is a must). when i return then to my my "normal 70% power", i swing much more freely and smoothly. i think one has to get also a feel for what means 100 or even 120% power in the strokes. friends of me heard that nadal is training like that: after the warm up hitting for 20 minutes absolute rocket shots with like 120%, after this trainingpart he comes back to his "normal power" on a incredible level. yes, we are not nadal, but i can confirm that hitting like crazy as a training unit can help to unlock new natural fluid power.
If you have the ability to hit out and still maintain a high degree of consistency there's nothing wrong with doing that. Most people watching aren't at the level to that.
I've seen Nadal practicing and it was interesting to say the least. he was absolutely slapping it. Routinely missing shots by over a meter. It clearly works for him though 😂

😀
Great vid, I just lost a match, when I beat myself… going for too much…
It's easy to do. You just have to try to stay disciplined.
Obviously number one priority is to send the ball back to the opponent’s court but number two is to make sure it’s not attackable by the opponent. Being nervous about this number two is I think making me over hit.
If something is attackable by the opponent is a very relative term dependent on level. I think most players drastically over estimate what is attackable. Putting the ball away consistently is one of the hardest things to do.
Keeping unforced errors low is the key.
Yep
Think 3/4 energy for match and the next . The laughter is maybe thinking ,practise by a.single ball.rally then stop.think wht happened as a serve practise one ball forcing refections walking to get your ball back to.serve again adjustme tseasier
