DART Silver Line FLIRTs 905 & 908 @ Shiloh Road Station - Exterior Walkaround

Bout time I make another Silver Line video.
On Friday, June 28, 2024, DART accomplished a significant milestone in the process of building the Silver Line. That milestone was moving two FLIRTs, 905 and 908, to Plano under their own power. After they were moved to Plano, they were stored at Shiloh Road Station, the current eastern terminus of the Silver Line. Today (Sunday June 30), I went to Shiloh Road Station to see the trains parked, and it did not disappoint. I was able to get probably one of the closest shots yet of the trains in this short 5 minute video. Hope you enjoy!

I retired from pax railroading maintenance in North America two years ago. I know all too well the necessary setup for running repair and heavy maintenance. Looking at these with no insider knowledge I would think maintenance would be easier compared to the traditional locomotive hauled coaches.

Wow at long last they’re on their new home which is semi complete still a lot to be done I forget if the opening year was next year or 2026 believe they were going to start operations in 2026

Not yet unfortunately, there isn't one part of the Silver Line that is currently open to the public.
