Happy spring everyone!🌸
In this vlog I share some of the paintings I've been working on the past few weeks as well as some art block I've been dealing with. I wanted to show how I deal with this and how I keep pushing myself to keep creating whenever I feel uninspired. I hope you enjoy this video and I hope to share more of my journey soon. Thank you for being here :)

Hi, I loved your humble and honest vlogs....your ending statement resonated with me and will keep it forever... Thank you, and keep shining!
"Making art would not be worth it if it turns out perfect because then there will be nothing more to learn or nothing more to tell"❤
This makes me so happy to hear! I have to remind myself of this a lot whenever I feel frustrated about my art and it really helps me enjoy the process more and more. Thank you so much for being here 🥰❤️
Hi!
I've noticed from your practice that emotional strain, frustration and a compulsion to 'fix' are energies that from time to time arise. Have you noticed that your painting transforms in the changing light of mood? On the technical side you seem committed to seeking out the larger forms as the learning point but the habit impulse is to poke at the image with small brush. Can I recommend looking at the following painters: Frank Auerbach, giacometti, and then link their impulses with a particular picture: Ribera's 'flaying of marsyus'
Remember that love is the most important thing in every aspect of art - a brush mark with loving intention can never be 'wrong' and our attitude of 'fixing' can let go of the strain and frustration element and transform into an attitude of healing where there is no strain - the mythology of the suffering artist is ready for an upgrade 😊❤
Dutch people are always the best artist, I’ve noticed a lot of professional artists and such are from the Netherlands. I’m from Rotterdam so that was a pleasant surprise. I couldn’t notice from your speaking though, you’re a great English speaker
That’s very kind and generous of you, thank you so much for watching! ☺️💫
Your video reminds me of Jimena Agra. It’s very calm and relaxing to watch.
Thank you so much! She is a big inspiration so this is so lovely to hear 🥹💗
Love your perseverance.
Beautiful work and beautiful sketches! You have inspired me to sketch more.
Thank you for making these videos, it helps me as a new late starter oil painter.
I might even try portraits. 😊🌸

I just love your vlogs and watching you paint! It gives me such nostalgic classical feeling and I adore it! You said that the face wasn't right but I was wondering "where?". Lovely!
Thank you so much, that’s so kind of you!❤️ I think we’re always our own worst critic haha, but I’m so happy to hear you liked it💗☺️
What brand is your red brush? Love the video!
Incredible! Love your work and style! Question though- did you paint gesso over the oil paint? My understanding is that you can’t put acrylic over oil.. only oil over acrylics.
Thank you so much!! And yes you’re generally not supposed to put acrylic over oil paints. I usually avoid this, but with a personal study like this I just scraped and sanded off the oil paints and then applied gesso!
owwwww
Wonderful video, may I ask where is your easel from?
your very talented
Thank you!!
