Yala National Park - Pride of Sri Lanka

- Located 260 km South East of Colombo, Yala is the most popular of the many National Parks of the country. Though the official website of Yala claims that the density of leopards here is the highest in the world, it is not at all easy to sight one. If you are lucky enough, you will be able to see a leopard. There are Sloth Bears also in this park, but we could not see even one during our four full days' safari in the park
I was on that beach in December 2004 the day it happened! We went back to the trails 10 minutes before the wave hit. We got lucky this day and I feel very grateful for being alive today 🙏🌺

Again, as I just subscribed and am looking at several of your videos, you are doing a magnificent job showing what real travel photos and videos look like. Can't always have time and space for a tripod. So to viewers arriving after me, I suggest you hit "Pause" when there is something you want to examine more closely.
I've seen Yala National Park on way to Katargama. Very nice.

Nicely presented ( without being verbose) documentary. I wonder how much would it cost to safari?
great documentary
You have been very lucky to see leapods there. From 🇱🇰, I have been twice there to see a leapod. But still I haven't seen.
We also had a glimpse of the leopard on the fourth day of full four days safari
How much charge to pay for halfday safari in yala
Lot of safari jeeps to view the lovely birds and animals

Grt work
Thank you Sunil for your encouraging comments
Really wonderful work sir!
Nice video sir. Are you using the same camera to shot this video? I mean the Canon SX60 HS
Cheiko Sairin I used two cameras to shoot - Canon Legria HF S30 and SX60
Tirthankar Haldar oh ok, thanks. I'm going to buy Canon SX60 soon for bird watching. Come visit my channel.
Cheiko Sairin The difficulty I find in shooting bird videos with SX 60 is it's slow focussing speed. By the time the camera focusses the bird has own away.
Cheiko Sairin Otherwise its optical zoom range is very suitable for bird photography
Tirthankar Haldar oh ok, thanks for your information about this camera...soon I get this camera, I'll will try to take some bird photo and upload to my RUclips channel.
cool ,good sir.
Desmond Kaimer Thank you

Too jumpy!
srilankans are unlucky they have no wild tigers
Actually its better cuz places with wild tigers have a higher attack rate by tigers
No tigers. We find only Leppards in Sri Lanka. There were two legged tigers. They were eliminated in 2009 marking the end of civil war.
