It also felt a little like a trailer for why someone should hire Snutt. Like, hi, are you a game developer and didn't already know anything I said here? You need me right now and this is why I'm expensive.
@kma6667 if I got Snutt right he wants to help studios out with his general skillset as a freelancer. Not necessarly looking for a new game. But I think he would take on a new project if it feels right to him.
37:05 I loved that part, 1, humorous, and 2, it felt like it tied it back into being a videogame trailer, rather than a fully pre-rendered thing. Great finishing touch by leaving it rough.
Ok this is actually super interesting cause the trailers were always top notch. There r just some companies (coffee stain, bungie, playstation studios, ID software ect) that know how to make a great trailer and u guys definately did. U guys did the absolute best patch notes / update videos thou, those r unrivaled haha.
I remember when the 1.0 launch trailer played, watching the launch livestream… I had emotions. We made it! It’s here! Never been so invested on watching a game come along like this. Thank you Snutt (and Jayce) for the phenomenal community management.
In movies it's absolutly bonkers how they flush down the thousands of working hours. Especially when the director can't decide on a final cut. So many many teams start semi polishing a priority list of the same scene until they can decide in a timeline / sequencer which one works. It got so stressfull that many started to drop post production to a degree and live with the shots as they get them.
Snutt, I started playing early access about a year ago. I patiently awaited every piece of news you delivered, and was ecstatic about 1.0 up until it dropped late last year. Your enthusiasm, passion, and honesty about the game were the main selling point for someone who doesn’t usually buy early-access games, but I could tell this was something special. The relationship you’ve built with your community is incredibly strong, and we embrace you for being yourselves and doing your best to be truthful with us. As the saying goes, “Don’t be sad because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Thank you for everything, Snutt ❤ To the future
Every Satisfactory video has been awesome! But the first reveal trailer will always be my favorite, and I still go back and watch it from time to time just to see everything that has changed and how massive the game is now. Amazing how much time goes into these videos. But it makes so much sense, because it will be a major factor in marketing the game.
Your guy's trailers are all just amazing from the camera work, to the music choices. They are what inspire me to make my own animations based in the Satisfactory Universe.
That's why the game and every trailer are masterpieces. You care about the game and player from ideation to execution. Than you Snutt and all the team. This is the best game I've ever played. Each update and even update videos bring me joy and lots of fun. And it's the only game that I spend over 1000 hours.....
hey Snut, gotta remind you, that I'm in for Satisfacrory since Update 3? And this toilet flush, literally killed it for me like: "awesome to be part of this community and following the journey of Coffee Stained". It was just the topping of the iced cake :D
I really loved all the Satisfactory trailers. Many other trailers follow the typical blockbuster way of making them. Which might fit to a Call of Duty, but it doesn't for most games. With your trailers I always felt how you pioneered out the intent of the trailer. And with the intent it also got crafted/engineered really well. Wish you the best, Snutt and Coffee Stain.
You have been an absolute awesome community manager. You will be greatly missed❤ good luck in your new adventures and I will keep following your other channels😃
Thank you so much for your awesome time. Really enjoyed your content, and you were a good reason, why I was up to date despite not really playing the early access. I really enjoyed this and the final game very much (and thinking about my last missing automated items ficsonium rods and alien power matrix). All the best for you, looking forward to your new channel.
The power outage wasn't sad because its off, it's a job well done for a creative soul who's been powering through it all to get this game to where it is and it is time to let the new infrastructure take over. Thanks Snutt, helps a lot
no no Snutt.. Thank YOU for all your hard work throughout the years both on youtube, as a community director and at coffee stain in general. The game wouldn't be where it's at without you and everyone else.
Man, spending 100+ hours on a factory for just a few shots or literal a few seconds in a video is so real... I feel that pain but its worth every second to make it as perfect as possible for each shot.
The amount of effort of those trailers is incredible. That was some good work. I will say I think the game could have used a little more time in the oven before the 1.0 release. Felt like there were still some pretty annoying issues, but seeing that trailer and reaching that 1.0 release was an amazing experience.
I sent the 1.0 video to my friends being like, THIS is how you announce a full release of a game :D People were like, wut is this? Ohh idk, just the best game in a long freakin time, Buy it!
I would like a behind the scenes video on how the resource tree was developed. How did you calculate the value/sink points of each item or what is needed to convert something into something other.
Maan Jace and Snutt just... /were/ the face of satisfactory to me. I couldn't even name someone else right now. No disrespect to the hard workers behind the scenes meant, it's appreciated.
If you are a content creator, this videos is for you. It gives a good overview about tools and some theoretic background on making videos for satisfactory.
32:28 I think that most people understand that if they don’t have the best hardware it is going to look worse so I think making it with the highest lod is fine to be honest
The bittersweet feeling of getting a behind the scenes video and also knowing Snutt is checking boxes on his "must do before I leave"-list...
Thinking the same thing. First Jace and now Snut. 😢 But happy that they're leaving because they want to, not because they're being fired.
@@rameking1 maybe they will work together on another game?
It also felt a little like a trailer for why someone should hire Snutt. Like, hi, are you a game developer and didn't already know anything I said here? You need me right now and this is why I'm expensive.
He is just trying to get everything set up so it all runs satisfactory.
Thanks Snutt. Helps a lot.
And what not
Who else teared up when they heard the power down sound after Snutt turned the light off? (Much love Snutt, and good luck in your future endeavors!)
Was just about to say this same thing! A beautiful send off ❤
I am not crying. You can not prove anything. It's the onions.
I am working on stage 2 of a 3 stage nuclear plant while I was watching and nearly had a bathroom emergency of my own when I heard power outage.
Nice touch Mason
same
We'll miss you Snutt, you've always managed to put a smile on my face :)
Sneaky way to leave Mikael a tutorial 😂. Thank you for everything Snutt.
i feal that its also his way of promoting his skill set for a new job when he leaves. his "resume".
@kma6667 if I got Snutt right he wants to help studios out with his general skillset as a freelancer. Not necessarly looking for a new game. But I think he would take on a new project if it feels right to him.
Thanks - Behind the scenes are always awesome.
36:35 I think this effect is called vertigo.
Thank you so much Snutt, it was an absolute pleasure having you.
I think it's called a dolly zoom in cinematography, but sometimes indeed called vertigo
@@Tomtommer it's actually all of the above :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolly_zoom
Everyone already appreciated the trailers but i dont think any of us knew how much work truly went into them! Our eyes are opened.
Thank you for all your work Snutt, you will be missed.

Man, the Fence trailer went hard on this

You will be missed Snutt. Thank you for everything you have done for this community, it will never be forgotten.
I love Satisfactory, I hope you continue with this great work. Consider it a big hug from a fan of this game.

Your work was rewarded with how impressive the 1.0 release went. Great Job!
Now THAT was fascinating; thanks for everything Snutt and good luck in your future ventures 👍
Oh now this video is something I'll be taking inspiration from!
I had a bit of idea as to how much work goes into these trailers but damn its a lot more than what I expected. Thank you coffee stain!!

I absolutely loved watching this! Excellent work Snutt & Team!
Thanks Snutt, helps a lot. Sad it's your final Coffee Stain video, but happy you're still around on your channel

I havent played Satifactory in a while. But for some reason i still watch snutts update videos.
Great video, really awesome to see how the trailers are made, I've always wondered. Also, cheers for the heart attack from the power failure sound.
Farewell, Snutt. Thanks for your great impact on the game community. Hope you'll have an amazing journey!
You have been an absolute awesome community manager. You will be greatly missed❤ good luck in your new adventures and I will keep following your other channels😃
my favorite is still "Early Access Launch Date Trailer", because that song is so damn sick and those belts are so damn sexy there
Thank you so much for your awesome time. Really enjoyed your content, and you were a good reason, why I was up to date despite not really playing the early access. What an amazing and informative video, and a great way to say goodbye to this channel!
Thanks Snutt, see you in the next chapter.
Bye, Snutt! And Thanks!
Awesome insight. Thanks Snutt. Helped a lot.
15:22 I really like animating over the top of existing music. Really makes the timing come together quickly.
Bye Snutt. Was an amazing time to follow coffee's Video's. You definitely added some soul to it. I will miss your updates!

Had to rewatch Update 6 Trailer, as I really liked the song. And now I find out there's a full version of it! OMG! :D
Wait why is Snutt here???
He said he quits, he didn't mention when. He's obviously not leaving right away.
@@Rothinsky This is his last video he wrote on blue sky. So maybe it'll be end of month.
@@IPD2001 :`(
I think it is prerecorded

That actually helped a lot 🤔
Thanks Snutt, will be following your next steps 👍
i really always wondered... wish i could do it.
The "Hitchcock effect" you're talking about is called a dolly zoom. Because the camera is rolling in on a dolly while also zooming in
21:35 Always worth mentioning: That scene in Sherlock 2 was shot by Gavin Free (of The Slow Mo Guys)!
Take care Snutt, you will be missed and thankyou for everything you have done!
Man, spending 100+ hours on a factory for just a few shots or literal a few seconds in a video is so real... I feel that pain but its worth every second to make it as perfect as possible for each shot.
Seeing that the Coffee Stain Logo was actually IN the world using the engine is a wild realization.
This is the only company that would do this kind of video. This in-depth anyhow.
Nice "farewell", thank you Snutt :)
Your game means so much to me. Thank you 😢

As someone who grew up living in trailers, this video is dead on.
no way the legend actually delivered

End of your video, you made me think my factory lost power! Thanks for the mini heart attack. But you will be missed sir, take care!

Great video. Any chance we'll ever get access to that delicious unreal engine sequencer, so we can make our own factory videos look better?
Bye Snutt! You've helped a lot! :-)
Snutt out here turning orientation videos for his replacement into “content”
Great Job!
It is amazing that a deep system game in an over the top exoplanet environment gets the trailer hook of toilet flush 😂
