Crazy thing I just learned..... Christian Bale comes back to voice the father in the new Studio Ghibli movie, The Boy and the Heron. As it turns out, the Japanese voice actor for Howl, Takuya Kimura, ALSO came back to voice the father in the new movie. So in multiple languages, they managed to bring back the same voice actors which was Studio Ghibli's request. Just so amazing!

Yes and a wonderful change of pace is Robert Pattison as the Heron!!! He is wonderful, a very unique and creepy voice you would not expect from him. A bunch of other english speaking stars voicing characters too! Like Mark Hamill and Florence Pugh

I love most ghibli English dubs, especially Howls. The “That’s my girl” always makes wanna giggle and kick my feet and all that. His voice is just so rich and calming and everything about Howl’s is super comforting.

personally, Christian bale's voice acting as Howl makes the character have a gentle likeness to him. Like, this is a grown-ass man, but he makes it so gentle and kind with his deep, soft voice.
I also love love how in the English dub version howls first line is “there you are darling I’ve been looking for you everywhere” and after a rewatch that line hits so good. I know it’s similar in the sub but not quite
