TGV Lyria de Paris à Genève, Suisse.
rainy train journey.
I love it when it rains whilst you're on the train.
nilelg5 and than that sound of the wheels, so relaxing....
moi aussi
@@dirkusmaximus9268 😀👍👍
Thank you for doing these, I have enjoyed them so much! Thank you also for indeed being the silent traveler. I really enjoy when the every day sounds of the people and the train shine through. The videos where they babble throughout are so off-putting. Cheers! Thanks!
Rain on train, perfect combination 👍,great video as always
Thank you lavender sky
Thank you for this! I am planning a big trip next March, Paris -> Switzerland -> London. Once in Switzerland, I plan on renting a car or van to drive all around!
Jessica Clute good luck from 🇮🇳
It's march. Are you still going? 😂
@Jessica Clute Good Luck 😊👍👍😃
Did you go and how was it?
@@jdub1139 I never got a chance do go due to COVID, I’ll have to re plan.
excellente et belle revue, même commencé à manquer la France, merci beaucoup
Sadly, the US has a long way to go to catch up. Great video!!
think abt india :(
Having just watched a Rome to Venice video, this seemed to be a nicer train with better seating and a much smoother ride. I'm surprised that they don't offer a drink and snack to first class.
I love Travelling by Trains.
Hello from eastern europe , Turkey 🇹🇷
Thank you for posting had to cancel myeurail trip this past summer because of Covid19. Can travel through your videos !great job
Your pre-train clips reminds me of some Paris movies I have seen..Keep safe❤
Thanks for the beautiful video , clips at the beginning portrait typical paris evenings although its early morning.
I had to travel Nurembserg , Zurich and paris strats april 4th but covid19 screwed up everything . Train is awesome
France is a great and nice country of europe.
First time i see a Lyria departing from Hall 1 to Geneva. I've always had to go to Hall 2 on the left to catch it all those years.
Again very nice ! Thank you for showing us!!! :):):)
One of favorite countries is 🇨🇭
I from Brasil and l love Geneva😊
A million times nicer train than Amtrak in the USA.
I felt, like i was there in the train travelling alongside. Very nice coverage.
I'm glad I took this journey (Geneva-Paris) and return with TGV Lyria back in 2015. Best memories ever.
Hello I’m looking forward to do the same as you but I’m having issues with figuring out the luggage information. Can you help me?
What do you need to know ?
You're not limited on luggage volume. There are big racks in everycar, at the entrance. If it's a double decker there will be racks in the middle of the carriage tto and even some room in the back.
Ha i was in geneva less than 3 weeks before this video was made
Hi I am planning a trip to Geneva.. but we wanna go to the glacier 3000, can you suggest me some ideas on how do I go from Geneva to glacier 3000
Very cool. First class is the only way to go. Most excellent.🌍🆗🎧👽✌🏾
taking a train between the cities of Europe is much better than flying in my opinion: on the train you get to see the scenic views while on the plane you see nothing but clouds
And no need to arrive 1 or 2 hours before, and to wait for your luggage during 1/2 hour when arrived at destination... And with the train you arrive directly in the center and the highlights of all these beautiful european cities.
@@mygiwi5498 that is the biggest advantage "you will be directly in the middle of the city". Saves a lot of money, time.
Wonderful journey,,cant take off my eyes,,,,,ur videos make me greedy for travels,,,,,love frm India
Thanks a ton
I love traveling by train and your videos are just too beautiful! Love from India 🇮🇳
Last french station is not Bellegrade bur Bellegarder sur Valserine
Haven't been to Paris but I've been all around Switzerland. Looking forward to visit it soon! Thanks for showing us around the station!
beats flying i,dd say nice trip
Temps maussade.
Pourquoi ? Covid19.
@@helilebon2383 on peut quand même continuer à voyager en présence d’un test pcr négatif et d’un justificatif dérogatoire je pense
Great explanation and great service's nice journey

I enjoy your videos very much
Nice vide brother. You are soo lucky ..Bangladesh .I love this ..!!
What a great ride
Thanks for this video great job
Thank you I often see trains passing by my house and I always wanted to know what it was like inside
Very brief video. Could you also make a video on the topic Geneva to Nice by train. Would be really helpful 🙂
Im having excited to go and travel train.
nice train
The train really looks comfortable. Great video.
If you want a *really* comfortable TGV, we have the double decker TGV, or the Corail (which is a little oldie but again _goodie_ ). 😅
Or you can take the Thalys, you won't regret it, trust me 😉
@@sullybully but they have so many similarities I suppose. Thier only difference might be thier ages. They all are comfortable. But thanks for that precision all the same
Excellent Episode! Thanks...👍😊
Thank you Silent Traveler😍😘
You're welcome
Wonderful jurney brother.
Thanks a lot 😊
I wish we had something like this in Canada. We kinda do, but it’s old and run average 80km/h
Very beautiful 💐🌹🌺
I see if I go to Europe I have to buy all black clothes. No more colorful clothes that I wear here in florida
Excellant
Thank you for the video! I'm planning to make the same train travel in June. How easy is it to find the train location in Gare de Lyon in Paris? Is there a map I can use in advance? Or front desk I can go and ask for directions?
nice journey
Just subscribed
Ill stick to my slower American trains. Only time this thing went slow enough to take in the sights was thru the damn train yard.
Watched so much french countryside just whiz by there.
The fun joy of long distance train ride is that it takes a bit longer and gives a view you would miss otherwise.
Excellent
Great video
Can you do Kaiserslautern to paris you get to choose sncf or ide
💂♂️
Does Geneva have late night Public Transport? (Bus, Tram)
NICE VIDEOS..PLEASE INCLUDE TICKET PRICES OR BUDGET TOGETHER...ITS WILL BE HELPFUL
Hi, May I know when arriving in Geneva is there are detax counter/ kiosk to claim VAT refund?
This is so Cool! Was it fun?
It was a peaceful journey
That is my dream to travel in europe and in train 🚆
Im a big fan sir
♥️♥️♥️🌈🌈🌈🇵🇭
Which seat number in first class would you recommend we should book if we want facing front of the train? And if we have a toddler with us?
Do you have transfers in this trip? Or one way only?
Совершенно очевидно, что в рамках топливного потребления всего мира, электрическая мощность обходится в меньшее количество топлива чем механическая мощность, поэтому в итоге, электропоезда более экономичны чем дизельные поезда.
Nepal havent this type of facility
How much time does it take to reach from france to italy
In what month did you film this? I see that îs raining all the way from Paris to geneva.
October
Nice TR. How about taking a bus from Geneve to Paris?
salut,Y a-t-il une gare à l'aéroport de Genève ? Pour voyager de Genève à Paris
Do we need pcr test ?
👨🎓
Do they give lunch in first class???
No
Am travelling soon in TGV Lyria Premeiere classe from Paris to Geneve, and i have a question: On the SNCF Connect web site, how do you select your seats in the direction of travel of the train? Are we able to know it in advance or not? Thanks
You were supposed to do it when you bought the ticket. Maybe at the desk, in the train station, you can change that, i don't know. The app will not let you i think.
why is it so intimidatingly quiet on the train lol
I am very confused. It says TGV Lyria but the train is TGV InOui? And I thought the TGV InOui were supposed to be newly refurbished but that didn't seem to be the case from the video? Sorry I am from the UK so I am not very familiar with this apart from Eurostar.
Sometimes Lyria uses inoui TGV or other in periods of heavy traffic or to replace its Lyria TGV under maintenance.
How much the difference between 2nd class and 1st class fare?
is not tgv lyria its tgv inoui
Read Bellegarde sur Valserine
how can i booked the ticket? thank you
So you were late 7 minutes. Schedule time is 3h 8min. 😄
Add some information brother, that every traveller traveling through train get something from your vedios
Videos
hi whats your camera specs?
train departs ~15 seconds too early
186 mph...not many curves or grade changes to slow it down...seems all flat and straight.
km/hr
C'est sur que c'est crucial la 4k pour un pareil reportage ... vivement le 48 fps, après tout c'est un voyage en tgv, il faut bien ça ...
How tall are you? So I better understand the leg room of these classes. I'm 6'5' / 196cm and from where your knees are, I will better gage the leg room.
6'3
@@SilentTraveler1 thank you! This definitely helps me! Fellow Tall Human!
not sure how tall you are but there doesn't seem to be much leg room for a first class seat
6'4''
Lovely rainy view from the window .Is Bourge en Bresse situated in the border of France?Have some idea about Tgv highspeed train .Thanks for recalling my memory.
109 km away from Geneva. Not exactly on the border.
Where you book your train tickets?
Trainline.com
Why you won't post video regularly?
I am a bit busy, I will resume posting soon
@@SilentTraveler1 okay.
Do you need a personal assistant? I would gladly go with you in these adventures

What the hell was in the toilet
Is this train station near the airport paris de gaulle?
Brioche Dorée
Is this called lyria because it doesn’t have the upstairs feature?
It's an Inoui TGV, a brand normaly used on french lines (no Lyria livery on this train).
@@mygiwi5498 inoui is the cheaper version of tgv right?
@@ace-paidinfull5240 Inoui is the top, the cheapest is Ouigo.
@@mygiwi5498 thats what i meant
Sometimes, you can see some of these TGV between France and switzerland , used under the name Lyria during high traffic periods.
RICH
Why are there French customs on Swiss territory?
Good question
That’s tax refunds
Switzerland and France share customs at Geneva Railway station it generates less troubles.
Some railways stations in Switzerland (at least Basel and Geneva), or Basel Airport, are near the borders. They have a French sector, with French trains (or planes). Because Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area, the controls are minimal, but you still need your passport or ID card on you and you need to declare goods. In Basel, there is even a German train station (Badischer Bahnhof) which, completely in Basel and thus in Switzerland, is considered German territory. If you go from Basel SBB to Badischer Bahnof with the local train (S-Bahn), and then out of Badischer Bahnhof, you crossed the Swiss-German border twice :) If you take the tramway, you don't. But it's really difficult to notice the difference (except for some clear information on the train and on the platform -- that you might miss!). See the Badischer Bahnof here: ruclips.net/video/JgUDX0xdpo4/видео.html and the CH/D border in the station: ruclips.net/video/JgUDX0xdpo4/видео.html&t=179s
I suggest that if you pls explain sometime with your mouth it's more enjoyable
Please correct spelling at 16:31, your channel is nice and all journeys are very beautiful. (liks=Links)
Sorry - most of the passagers look at you as the fool you are carrying a camera and filming at the same time.
And?
