I think it's really cool how Kierra is sitting in on this conversation hearing all of them fan over her family. She's listening like it's not her fam lol. Very humble about it. I like that.
well put, so true
Raven had it right! Denise Clark's clap was Iconic!!!!
And head shake.... it was amazing
Yasss had her attitude down !
Yes,,,Mt Gurrrrrrl.... Denise
Jamie Foxx played The Legendary Ray Charles and These Queens Played the Legendary Clark Sisters PURE!! MESMERIZING TALENTS ALL RIGHT HERE ON THIS CHAT!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I'm glad you related that about Jamie. Jamie is so talented that I was like, how am I going to forget this is Jamie when he plays Ray Charles. Note that Ray Charles was a star during a lot of my lifetime so a lot of us knew how Ray Charles was. When I tell you, Jamie WAS Ray Charles. I forgot all about he was Jamie Fox during that movie and I marveled over that fact after watching. All I saw and heard was Ray Charles. I truly believe it's much more complex to play someone's life that was a real person than a fictional character. He nailed it and I was thrilled he got an Oscar. Now, the lady that played Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, same thing. She nailed it and since this was a tv movie, I would love to see her get an Emmy and whatever other awards they give for tv.
Aunjanue was looking like a proud mama when the ladies were singing. I love how she gave Kierra a shout out on her new album as well. Wonderful interview with all these beautiful ladies. I literally watch this movie a million times. lol
Lee...me to...it was good
Can somebody just give Aunjanue four Emmys, and an Oscar already??? She is much to underated of an actress. All of the ladies did a wonderful job. Christine did a great job. Really good film.
MyTtime AGREED
Seconded. She killed the role. She really killed the role.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Awwww Angela talking about giving Jacky a voice made me emotional
Me too!
100%
AUNJANUE ELLIS got major bars. no one else could play Mattie just like No one else But Jamie could play Ray Charles... Got aligned the stars. I love her... she is the veteran out of all of them.. Proud her.. love her work. z
Exactly...loved,loved,loved her in this movie...we will be hearing her name for years to come. Awesome lady indeed
Well said
Raven is GORG!!!
All of you did an amazing job! Aunjanue Ellis....OMG, you are an incredible actor! Love all of you!
I am a 60 year member of the Church of God in Christ worldwide--all of my life...What Aunjanue Ellis did with our absolute Maestro Dr. Mattie Moss Clark is an understatement. I loved and reverenced Dr. Clark before I knew about the Clark sisters years ago. Aunjanue was Dr. Clark. Also what genius to cast singers before professional actors in these roles. Have mercy. #sheneedsanemmyforreal
I just love watching Aunjanue spazzing over her girls singing lol I love the family dynamic and support
ITS DONE IN YESHUAS NAME!!!
Aunjanue Ellis is so underrated actress. I didn’t grow up on the gospel but I knew who the they was. I knew nothing about Dr. Moss but watching this I feel like I knew her personally. This film is one of my favorites films
What I hear from Raven about her experience is that the power of God was trying to show her Him. Our ancestors don't have ANY power. However, their memory can be used to help us see how powerful and real God is. I'm glad that she had a life changing experience. My prayer is that she diligently follows up by getting closer to Jesus through staying connected to those who are really living it, and reading her Bible, and praying to the Lord Jesus for His clarity. There is POWER in the Name of Jesus and His Holy Spirit is REAL. In addition, He loves us so much and wants us all to live for Him. The ladies did a great job and I was impressed with Aunjanue Ellis' performance. She was phenomenal. I pray that for all of those who experienced this that this would go beyond just an appreciation of art and truly become an appreciation of a life for JESUS! God bless!
Shelea IS dorinda!
WOW
And yes Raven had the handclap DOWN!
YESSSSS!!!!!!!
DETROIT!!! Our city has produced musical greatness in ALL genres! The Clark Sisters are nothing short of Amazing following their mother thee Dr. Mattie Moss Clark! I could tell from Instagram how much of a fan Jamie Foxx was, glad he got to speak with these ladies! I love the movie, obviously the music too!
I think this is the only interview with all 6 leads from this movie. This was WELL DONE! The explanation of Denise's path or her choices sums it up well.
They need to create a group and record original records.
Im sayin!
Jamie’s love and his intricate thinking toward the craft really shows in this interview. Whew, this is TOO good🙏🏾
I absolutely love this movie don't judge me bc I've watched it 9x! These ladies did an amazing job every since watching I've been in love with the Clark Sister I've watched every video, IG, & ordered The Return cd. Thank you ladies for portraying these beautiful legend's of gospel music!
Bravo Ladies! Aunjanue, you were amazing!
Thank you for placing the interview in your bio !! These Ladies are AMAZING !! I knew of Raven , Kierra , and FINALLY a house name Baby Cicely Tyson ( Aunjanue Ellis ), To introduce us to Christina, Angela , and Shelea .. Now I'm waiting to see what's next with these ladies !!
I loved the movie! These ladies did a great job acting and an amazing job singing.
Sucks that the Clark Sisters Movie was overlooked for the Emmys.
shawng0769 what it Was omg I thought they was nominated for one for it?
I’m bout to cry at the beginning just listening to Kiki talk about paying a tribute to her mom 😭😭
This was the best movie I’ve seen in a long time! I LOVE this movie and The Clark Sisters
OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tears are welling as I type. The Clark Sisters are just.....I can’t listen without wanting to cry every time. The passion, the love for God, their voices, it MOVES YOU!
I love Christina Bell, but y’all should have let me tell who Twinkie was, I may not know her personally but you know a person by their fruit . Twinkie was more than just the sound to the Clarksisters not only is she careful about uttering anything before she thinks but she’s a woman of God, she doesn’t seek fame or fortune her music is her ministry but she does it unto God. She is very funny, laid back, she’s just her, but she’s the quiet storm foreal ! And she houses the anointing from God and that’s no question. Honestly, you cannot put Twinkie into words😩😍❤️🙏🏽🔥
When it’s safe to do so and theaters re-open again, I would still love to see the movie on THE BIG SCREEN. Love, love, loved it!!!
I now worship at the altar of Aunjanue. what a great talent.
Aunjanue Ellis was Dr. Clark. Wonderful job, sister!
This movie is thee GOAT!! I recorded it, and I watch it regularly!! Ms. Aunjanue!! Oh my God!! She embodied Dr. Mattie!! She was Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark in that moment!! This movie is my all time favorite! To the ladies, you all were remarkably on point vocally, and otherwise. Auspicious talents you all are!!
I salute all of you! God bless each of you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love these great women, they did a wonderful job on the portrayal of the Legendary Clark Sisters . Awesome to be able to play your mom, love you KiKi.
One of my favorite interviews ever ☺️💖 I love the family vibe 😊 that makes me so happy to see that.
Superb movie. Profound story!!! Casting was flawless!!! Congratulations to all!!
Aunjanue....as much as I loved to watch you act... I love to listen to you...your passion and intellect and compassion are so awe-inspiring. Loved this interview with all these ladies. You all are so blessed.
One thing about MISS ELLIS. THE RAAAAANGE
I first saw her on Quantico years ago and i never knew her name
Incredible, incredible, incredible👏🏾!!! All of these ladies did an impeccable job. The movie came out at the right time for the audience, the actresses/actors, and the Clark sisters! So happy the Clark sisters are getting the love and honor that could've only come when we were all quiet enough to hear their sound! Kudos to you Jamie Foxx doing this!!!
Aunjanue Ellis is a Beast, my first time seeing her was Disappearing Act. She had a small but powerful seen. Also Ray again an outstanding job well done. I have been a fan since. I call this my Cycel Tyson award winner!
We must give you ladies an award for all your awesome acting and singing. The story of the Clark Sisters would really take volumes, but awesome performances from you.🙏🙌👏
What an awesome opportunity! Bless you Jamie Foxx
Love, love, love, love, love this movie. They showed it 14 times on Lifetime or 15 and I watched it every single time...even called friends and instructed them to watch...They are afraid of me now, especially since am not a movie person. But the one person who attracted me to the movie was Anjanue Ellis... Par excellence...to all of you but she was the only actress I knew of prior, so I looked forward to seeing her in this role. You were all so extraordinary. You all deserve Oscars...My blessings to you all from Trinidad.
You all were so perfect...I was upset with Twinky, hated Denise and loved, loved, wanted to hug Mama...and Karen and Dorinda, you're my peeps....😅😅😅😅
Just an absolutely amazing movie and depiction of these awesome and iconic sisters!!!! Loved every minute of it!!!!
It was a wonderful piece of art! They all were amazing, and the SANGIN!!!! OMG!!
I finally saw the movie last night.....i loved it❤. I'm anazed at how t
She sounded so much like Dorinda. I love her
These ladies did a amazing job. I have watched this movie over 100 times, I saved it to my lifetime app on my phone. Thank you ladies so much. Love you all🥰🥰🥰🥰
Continued blessings to all of you and Jamie, thank you little brother for just being you
Such a great interview - thank you, Jamie Foxx! These women are absolutely fabulous, and they were able to authentically present the trueness of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, The Clark Sisters and their legacy!
I live for this kind of love. So phenomenal and genuine! I love us!
Twinkie is all that and a bag of chips(Twinkie and Karen are twins -birthday,face,voice ,attitude-everything)Twinkie the Goat 🐐 🐐. I want to know what christena watched when said said Karen and Twinkie sound alike so I can go look.
I’m not sure what Christina watched but I can tell you one place where it happens... It’s on Karen’s “Finally Karen” project when they were singing Jesus is a Love Song. Listen to it and then watch it. It’s amazing how you cant tell who is singing what!
I'm not sure what she watched specifically, but I recently saw an old video of Twinkie doing "Endow Me" and she brought the sisters out to sing with her. I definitely felt like they sounded alike. I could hear Jacky, Dorinda and Karen in Twinkie's voice actually lol. You can tell they all pulled from Twinkie and her ability.
Correction, Karen, Denise & Twinkie are triplets, the voices, the faces , & the attitudes.
I think she probably watched Karen sang i won't complain with the famu gospel choir because that was one of the videos of them when they looked identical to each other
There's two performances I can think of where Karen mimicked Twinkie to a T.... one where they sang Miracle... and the other she was wearing a red dress just can't recall the song
GREAT JOB JAMIE!!! Excellent job everyone. Great conversation.
Thank you Clark Sisters there's was a moment my Grandmother and mom's mother was feeling that same way before she passed away in the year of 2010 she will always tell to keep holding on though things may be tough but, no matter trust God
She was so right about Denise, she was a hero!!!
Such a good interview. I hope the director of the Clark sisters movie can have an interview as well.

Because woman are celebrating eachother and because they are saying beautiful things and encouraging its so beautiful to see woman sticking together, and black woman..
OKAY!!! So by this time, I have gone back and have watched the singing portion of this interview ummm🤔 about every bit of 8x. #Anointed. My good God! The presence of the Lord!
It's brave to allow people learn from both the demerits and the strong moments of your life.
🙌🏾 beautiful job by beautiful artists. Thank you.

This Was Sooo Amazing ‼‼
This was EXCELLENT!!
A splendid interview for a Fabulous 🎦 Movie
I'm about to watch the movie again.
it was a excellent documentary
On my way back home for a doctors appointment in Maryland and I saw the movie in Cleveland Ohio. I had a four hour layover so I watched the movie and I got so mad at the guy that pushed me on the steps. I want to go back home to Detroit and ask Twinkie, where is Husband at? I want him to knock him flat. Being a Scorpio we have a way of dealing with things when we get mad sometimes we can control it. Sometimes we can’t, but we can’t control it. You pushed us to that point that means it’s past talking is past being quiet. It’s time to whoop your butt and get over. I wanted dude I’ll tell you I wanted him just to grab him and cut his hair off. I was just that mad it was an awesome movie to honor Dr. Clark that way was awesome. Awesome job ladies.
Yeah, I would love for this to continue into a Lifetime series, because they played a real-life family very well, and there is more Clark Sisters and Dr. Mattie M Clark stories to show on the TV screen. I will definitely watch it.
Fantastic!
I LOVE IT!!!!! ❤
And she did good job and all of them did a good job.
I know these women are good singers. The singing at the end, even with the overlap, I can't explain it , but it somehow worked out and sounded good.
I'm going to see this movie again 😂
THEY 👏🏾DID 👏🏾THAT👏🏾 SINGING AT THE END!!! DELAYS AND ALL!!
Love it....
i hope it gets award
Well spoken!
