When I got this keyboard I also said it was good enough but boi I was wrong my curiousity was strong on how it may sound like on different mods haha. My kid says hi! 😘
Its a good board. But it does not have good flex. It's a stiff tying experience. I've removed all the foam from the case to give the gasket more clearance and it made little difference.
I tried it without the case foam to make the gaskets bouncier. It worked but ended up sounding hollow. Do you know how to make it bouncier without it sounding hollow?
Hard to say. Overall cream yellows are considered a more clacky switch but as always, you can change the sound by mixing up plate, foam and keycaps. Kinda depends on what you mean by deeper side. From my experience with this board and switch combo, its not going to be a booming deep thock, but you can get a deeper pitched clack/marbly sound. I also found the POM plate gave a little deeper tone compared to PC plate.
@@pusakalmkb i see, my fear is somehow shorting the pcb with the polyfil, that's why I haven't tried it without tape mod before, curious to hear how it sounds without the tape
@@pusakalmkb ahh i see, i kinda like a marbly slightly clicky sound to my M1 with linear switches instead of clack, but I'm not exactly sure how that can be done so I'm trying just polyfill

If you’re using PC plate you can remove the plate foam too. Also changed the gaskets to poron

Stucked between fr4 and pom plate. Its really hard what to choose.

hi, how safe is it to just put polyfil in the case without anything in between the polyfil and the pcb
Disclaimer: I think all mods can harm a build even the tape mod can. But it's okay since this build doesn't have batteries.

@@amshahzainal5802 nahhhh polyfill is a conductor. It won't do any shorts or grounds except if it's wet tho

@@amshahzainal5802 Also try using maybe a full PC switch like akko crystal silver or the clear one then just lube the springs.
