That is awsome. African Clawed Frogs are great pets. I have 2 females in a 20 gallon long and I noticed you also have a Fluval Underwater Filter like i do. My water is always very clear, they are very effective filters. You will be quite happy with the water quality. I have some videos up of my frogs. Have a good one!
Sorry I am just now seeing this post. Maui is still doing great and I love that filter. I did add a secondary UV one as well and his tank is always crystal clear!
Great Stuff!!! Maui needs a girlfriend! (or at least a tankmate friend) Then they can have babies and you can raise more! These guys are a huge part of my life, i have 10. Mom, dad, and 8 13 month old babies. Cant call them babies anymore, they're almost the size of dad. Looks like you're doing great stuff keep at it!
I was under the impression they were very predatory and liked it better alone. But I’ll have to read more into it. I can’t imagine how much more often I would need to clean the tank with two of them. One alone is a little dirty terd lol
@@InLikeFlynns well they are def predatory bosses, but no they are sweethearts, and they tolerate eachother very well....i've only had about 18 months with mine, but I use store bought spring water so just imagine how my experience is! Not always fun but I love them, I have a few videos you can see mine if ya like :)
The new filter is definitely working some magic. Cleaned it out today and did a 20% water change even though I didn’t feel it was totally necessary. New setup is a champ so far. Love seeing Maui swing and darting quick around the tank
Sorry, somehow this question only now popped up on my feed. Maui only cost us around $13, and we do have a little heater for him to keep the water around 75.
Surface agitation and these extra vibrations in the water can actually stress these guys out. They have stitch-like marks on their sides which allow them to sense vibration in their surroundings. I have the same filter as this guy, and it's really effective.

How much do these cost? Do they need heaters?
