After A LOT of requests the past years, here you go with my first Kataklysm guitar cover. Thanks to the Quadcortex and some fine adjustment on my picking technique it finally sounds somewhat postable haha! And yes, I tripped over my own feet in the end. 🤣

Have you ever thought of studying Brian Haner's (Synyster Gates) sweep picking style? He curls his other fingers and just moves his picking hand slowly while his other hand works the fretboard. I think he actually has a Master Class...

That was epic! \m/ Absolutely flawless playing, incredible high-energy performance, perfect tone from your picking hand, and the Horizon is just a monster with those EMGs. Awesome! This is another great band I only knew the name of, so thank you once again for broadening my musical horizons. Love that you kept in the little outtake and the Xiphos as the world's most metal Christmas decoration hahaha. Really cool outfit too! :) Amazing video in every way!

Not much to complain about here. I even liked the song, despite not realy being into death metal. A really well made video and the little "hiccup" in the end just made it even better by adding that tiny bit of reality. It's like in pro recordings were they allow you to hear noises or talk right before or after the song. It makes it all feel more real.

This song is not only a full metal hand workout, but also very nostalgic for me. As is always the case with your covers, the hard work you put into learning and playing the song comes through. I'm curious why you think your cover is only "somewhat passable"?! I know the song off-by-heart and I don't a difference from the original. p.s. it's better to trip over your own feet than a cable :D
