Thanks Jimmer for that power stage. I thought I was doing something very wrong, but apparently the very wrong thing is not taking snow tires on stages with any snow. Maybe here's where the mixed compounds would come to play?

This game have so much potential but i guess the developer playing it save and not giving many update like more car setup, track deformation, better graphic and peformance

A way to circumvent the dim lighting is to turn on the headlights, a very easy oversight to make.

See the thing here is, being an official game is it worth buying can be looked at from few angles. Target audience here is mainly fans of WRC which means controllers will be main playing tool and id say most titles will be sold to console users.
When it comes to official racing games for me if its not a sim make sure it plays great on a controller ( rF2 actually plays beter on DS4 tha official F1 game hah) and make sure its mix of fun and challenge, trying to say i never look at simcade or arcade racers with sim perspective as i know i cant look for aspects of one in the other

I even had massive stutters in ALL games with my 3090 despite only running a single screen, but as soon as I uninstalled all of those fancy things it started to run buttersmooth!

Just started watching about 5-10 minutes ago on my "old" smart TV because it still showed "LIVE". Wanted to comment so grab my phone and first thing i see is this comment. 🤦♂️ TV is old because RUclips is the only app on it that's still relevant. 😑
I bought WRC 8 and 10 in a Steam sale recently. Whilst admittedly I am not great at these games WRC 10 immediately felt better handling wise using my controller. The cars feel more weighty, less twitchy and less floaty than in WRC 8. I do like a Rally game so bought Dirt rally 2.0 cheap as well so be interesting to see the differences when I play that one.
Which did u prefer I loved dirt rally2 on Xbox got a pc and wondering if I should buy wrc 10 or dirt rally 2

Grain on stream can be fixed by increasing bitrate. Twitch isn't better than youtube for transcoding ^^ However, you shouldn't even stream at 1080p60 on twitch because of the bitrate limit ^^
It lacks behind DR2 in basically every way except varied surfaces within a single stage is done better, the "tire game" is better, and the stages are far better (not visually, but the road surfaces and conditions are far more exciting and varied.)
I'm glad I picked it up. I have s hard time going to to DR2's wide, smooth roads now.

Rally drivers are god-like in their ability to drive and control cars in that manner which is high-risk driving and then also have a co-pilot barking the corners in their ear constantly ... the mental processing capability is staggering
man, the visuals for the HUD and cars looks super last generation. Audio is adequate. Stages look pretty good. It just all looks very flat

I'm running a 3060 on my PC and running on medium settings as well and my game stutters also and is sometimes freezes, and I also sometimes have something where my screen just like flashes constantly.....

I agree that the dark levels are a bit too strong. It feels like they used a lot of onboard rally video reference, which as far as how human eyes work, is not the same thing as a camera mounted in a car with exposure set to be able to see out the windows. Same goes for saturation, a lot of the time it feels dim and flat. However I do like the WRC tracks more than DR2.0, they feel more open/unguided. I don't know how to put it in words but the DR2.0 tracks feel more like a videogame track, while WRC tends to be more like 'Terrain with a road through it'.
I started to prefer WRC9 over DR2.0, I liked the feel a lot more, and my Fanatec profile that I use in iRacing was able to work well in WRC without much tweaking, while DR2.0 has me using a completely different profile set. I had gotten a proper rig/seat which due to my need to use my desk monitors for work, requires me to use VR with racing, since WRC is not providing that it's back to DR2.0 for me until I can get a monitor mount and either triples or take my ultrawide off my main setup.

when in cocpit view u dont hear the sound that well.. thats why i drive when my car is visible so u hear the exhaust and pops etc...

The only thing i like about WRC10 is its stage design. Everything else such as graphics, handling, sound and cars, Dirt Rally 2.0 wins! I only played wrc like for a good 3 hrs and went back to my DR2.
If you like shit arcade games then play DR2, WRC 10 is has more fidelity to realism. I mean watch a dashcam video from the official WRC channel and then watch WRC 10 gameplay. It looks the same.

Yep! overall i like the WRC tracks a lot more. They tend to put a little more love and detail for the tracks over Dirt, but Dirt has better car selection. The tracks are so believable. My only complaint about WRC10 it is the car variety.. modern WRC is souless with so few brands, and even with so many extra cars, you can only use them on free race. Want to do a player team carreer with a Proton? No, you are locked to Ford, Hyundai or Toyota.
Besides, you can have a fair share of sim driving without the sweatshow that is 2.0 for some cars, specially RWD.

I’ve just come to this game as my first entry into WRC - absolutely binning it - can hardly keep it on the tarmac, even on straights sometimes. Is it the settings, wheel, or just a steep learning curve? Plenty of hours on GT and F1 😳 never dealt with anything like this

It’s very hard and requires a much more assertive/aggresssive driving style. rather strangely I prefer game pad in dirt rally 2 despite owning a wheel and pedals. I find the constant sudden corrections etc easier on a pad.
Biggest down fall of these new rally games is power delivery in the corners from the engine. Rally cars should spin those tyres like thunder like in Colin mcrea rally 3,05 GRID 1, but it's all money making gimmick now days.

I gotta say, the way the car handles on the first stage is way more responsive than the cars of DIRT rally 2.0, on DIRT rally 2.0 from what I have experienced you can't brake while turning into corners properly, turning around hairpins is a real pain and there's a magical force that glues your car to the track when you take a corner perfectly that seems too unrealistic, I wish DIRT rally 2.0 was more like WRC 10 in terms of physics and handling.
DR2 blows away WRC in terms of physics.

Performance I'd say, since there's a lot more the engine needs to do than the average game, such as extremely demanding/realistic physics, crash damage simulations, etc.
@@Cr4z3d nope. Physics calculations arent remotely demanding in racing games. Frankly even ps3 can handle any racing Sims physics, it's the graphics that slow everything down. Especially because lower budget games are very unoptimized and most Sims are low budget

I would say dirt rally 2 is more immersive (vr support, better sounds and graphics), but wrc10 has better (and more) stage design. Ive never driven a rally car so i cant tell you which has better physics.
If you love rally then get it, but if you are a vr racer then wait for dr3.0
If you’ve played dr2.0 to death and know the stages by memory (and dont care about vr), wrc10 will provide a new challenge
It's a mixed bag. DR2.0 (and RBR right along side it) is better than WRC9/10 overall. I think Jimmy is correct that it does mixed stages really well compared to DR2.0 but I think part of that is the poor tarmac model we got in DR2.0. The stages are better in the WRC games and the career mode is leaps and bounds better, but the driving just doesn't feel right to me. This is coming from a rural person who spends more time driving too fast on icy and gravel roads than I should. The only real way to explain it is that driving on gravel and ice feel kind of samey? Like a bit more floaty than irl. You get better weight response out of the car, but the surface makes it feel unintuitive? I guess would be the way to put it. Part of it is that game designers can't really put realistic driving on dynamic surfaces, partially out of physics difficulties and partially because players scream that it isn't realistic even if it is. Either way, I ended up just returning it and just went back to DR2.0.
@@Rmagid You can tell WRC 10 is way more realistic by comparing dashcam videos of the official wrc channel with wrc 10 gameplay, its got way more fidelity than dirt rally 2, but kiddie love dirt rally 2 because its popular so they bandwagon because "hur dur i like the sounds in dirt rally better so its a better game". Also anyone that mentions RBR shouldnt be taken seriously, the game is an old joke and the modders have no clue what they are doing, the ABS simulation is non existant/trash, the gravel slides 15% more than it should sideways, and in tarmac its way too understeery.

I think the game looks great and the stages are so much fun, really realistic. I do play on Pc with everything on Very High so I get maximum graphics and it's crispy as hell. Not sure about all the complaints, the stages in WRC 10 absolutely shit on the stages in Dirt Rally 2.0, can't even compare. Of course some graphic is better in Dirt because there barely is any graphics, here is dense forests which feels very realistic. Driving on the Finland gravel tracks are so much fun.
Now you can also play as a co-driver onine, yeah you heard right you can be the map reader when someone else is driving. You have to find the good stuff and stop getting stuck on the few bad things. Sound is better but could be worked on further for sure when it comes to cars. I wish they had a historic map section where all the tracks not currently raced are still available. Like in WRC 8 you had Australia then those tracks disappeared in WRC 9 and they are still gone in WRC 10. I wish they never removed any tracks just added new ones, that's how you do a good sequel, just add stuff that was in the previous.
I feel it is a step up from WRC 9, I think the graphics are a little bit better now, a bit sharper and more life like, they felt a bit oversaturated and rough in the older WRC games. Definitely a step in the right direction. If you love Rally there is really nothing to doubt, just get the game and have fun.
Sounds like this should have been an update for worc9 instead of making a whole new game

The U.I. is very clunky, why two U.I. in the game? I like a lot about the game, sound is great for me in my opinion. I use driver view, with a helmet and co-driver in mind it works great. The graphics are way too heavy, my older 970 PC won't carry it on even single screen on more than medium and low. I have not put much time in, but I paid $30 for the full game, so it is there in case they fix it or whatever. I will tinker with it.
In nvidia settings set max frame limit to 60 for WRC10. Then try to play again. Hope it will work for You.
