What a great way to recycle an old oilfield service vehicle. The Nodwell was designed for transporting oilfield equipment across the tundra of Alaska's North slope where there are no roads.
Casey after seeing the Snow Cats attempt I was sure amazed at how easy the Nodwell handled the recoveries, I'm sure had your rope been long enough you would have been able to have pulled out the Ford and Nissan out with the Nodwell . Good camera work Becky. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.👍
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery The Nodwell is a great tool. They are simple to maintain and tough. I see they throw a lot of mud. I only ever ran them on snow. All of the ones we used had Detroit 4-53s.
Hey Casey great work on the recovery no doubt the Noddy could have yoinked them both out at once I swear that is the vehicular version of get over here. Great video and love seeing pop in the vids stay safe and have a marvelous week 👍🇦🇺
First, thank you, Casey, for fixing Brian's (Adventure Van Man) bike carrier. Great recovery, but this is just another example that money can't buy common sense.
What an awesome recovery that was fun to watch yes that nodwell is awesome Thank you for letting us come on the ride to see you do your job have a great day
It’s amazing how low inhabitants Utah …in no way looks and behaves like low inhabitants Wyoming (OR just Wyoming) …but yeah low inhabitants Colorado during Mud season …a repeat story all around … if you wanna talk wind … boy do I have some statistical facts on locations with a lot of it!!! HarHar! Thanks for sharing!!
Hello Casey, Becky and Poppy too! You make it look easy Casey. It was something to se the rope stretch on the last pull and then the truck just gently came up out of the mud. Have an awesome weekend guys! 👍
Casey I always love the beautiful scenery in your videos it looks so peaceful and relaxing. The Nodwell is a beast pulled out both vehicles easily it seemed to be a little to easy. Keep up the great work
What do you drive? Everything I have driven you can look at the steering wheel and see where the top is. The reason why they said that you may need to look out and check is if you are a full turn off you may not realize that you are just plowing. I don't think a piece of colored tape is a game changer.
Hey Casey !! "OL"" NODDY to the rescue again !!! Great to see that you got the track back together !!! Have a good week & Thanks !!1 ""POPPY"" again stole the show ,,but great video with the ""DRONE"" & Video Camera !!
Spring in the mountains - another Utah trap for the unwary. Now why did I want to leave Canada and move to Utah? Must have heard about a warm, dry corner, not that you see a whole lot of that. Keep smiling and Thanks for the ride.
As usual another awesome recovery you have the knowledge to bring the right equipment and that would have been a site to see if you would of been able to pull both out at the same time. Norwell to the rescue what a machine. Keep up the awesome content and as always be safe 👍
You mean the dunes. Back in the day, I rode passed many stuck trucks out on the dunes while standing on my 10 dog drive dune cart. Oregon Dune Mushers Coos Bay to Florence, 8 years in a row. I wonder if the local tow company still has the old military truck with big aircraft tires for dune recoveries?
Nice work, I think that is a really long road to the resivor? I will explore it when it is dryer and stay on the designated road...lol Wife and I were up there in April looking at homes. took a drive up that road to 10k elevation then turned around and enjoyed the view above all those homes.....
I am surprised the bumper didn't fly off of that Nissan, it must be built and attached better then the bumpers used to be on the smaller trucks and it probably would have parted ways had you not been so careful on the throttle Casey to apply as little pull as possible to pop it out. The wrong person behind the "wheel" of the nodwell could sure do some damage ! .
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery Oh ok, I couldn't tell as it had appeared like the bumper was involved as the attachment point. I also wondered and of course that was before you came on the scene, how they broke what looks to be a 4" wide nylon strap, unless a strap of that size was damaged they are strong ... would have expected to see parts pulled off the back of either truck before that strap would break. He wasn't thinking, he should have called up his buddies to bring a Chevy, a Dodge etc as well and so they could all split your bill. I don't expect his buddies will let him live this down for a while LOL.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery That makes sense ... I mean it doesn't but yet it does LOL, that was a waste of a nice strap. Depending if there was someone with which I assume there was, sometimes its possible to literally lift up or pull sideways on a tight strap, cable, chain etc and get enough leverage along with backing up one of the vehicles to gain just enough slack to undo what had been a tightly pulled strap in this instance. Its not something that the average person would ever think would work but there is a lot of leverage within the first short distance of movement. Yes a jackall could be used for more leverage to lift the strap but that could get very dangerous ( I probably shouldn't be giving people crazy dangerous ideas ).
Casey, I found myself driving through the mule festival in Tropic last weekend completely by accident. Did you take your critters up there? Hope to see a video if so, it looked like a heck of a time.
I thought you were kidding when you said pull them both out together, I wish that Rope was long enough that would’ve been fun to see . Poppy was probably rolling in every stinky thing he could smell.🤥
Just because you paid to much for your truck doesn't mean it won't get stuck!!! Not to often you see someone double down on dumb.... Spring thaw is a Bitch.
another nice video! maybe it was my eyes but that rope stretched like a rubber band. i also kept looking for the posse of 10 with all kinds of jeeps and the absolutely world's largest offroad wrecker. never saw them. amazing.
The funniest part is he doesn't want any extra weight so he's always marginally prepared, but yet has people stacked in the seats. Didn't even have a wrench to take off a busted shock bolt and had to borrow one from someone else, plus had to use someone else's air for a tire. I think he invited them for the tools and equipment.
Thanku for taking us along for the ride! Happy mother's day Becky!
Thank you, Casey, for helping the van guy with his motorcycle carrier. Interesting how RUclips people come together and help each other.
I was in a pickle like that once. Temp went down enough over night, we could drive out in the morning on the frozen mud.
The Nodwell pulled them outta there like they weren't even stuck. That thing is a beast.
Noddy pulled both those out like nothing. Way to go Casey.
Hi Casey, came over from Adventure Van Man's channel...thanks for helping out Brian
The Nodwell is a Beast! Great job.
Think they learned their lesson about muddy places? The Noddy got them out with no problem! Good job Casey!
I like watching your recoveries Casey. I learn a lot about what to do. Some of the other recoveries I see, I learn what not to do. 👍
Good job Casey! 👍 😎👍
All I can say is that the Nodwell was a great investment.
I'm in love with that dog!
I love seeing Poppy having the time of her life!
What a great way to recycle an old oilfield service vehicle. The Nodwell was designed for transporting oilfield equipment across the tundra of Alaska's North slope where there are no roads.
It really is a great rig
The Nodwell didn't even work up a sweat pulling them out!
Casey thanks for helping out with Brian AdventureVanMan.
Always enjoyable day when there a nodwell recovery. give me some energy popy
Fantastic start of two days off. Hoping everyone has a great weekend 👍👍
Casey, it a good thing you are there for people when they need you get them out of some of the messes they get in. Good on ya man.
You show us amazing land views. Enjoyed
The Nodwell, Sir, is quite the impressive recovery track, not cheap either! Bravo Zulu!

The poor little cat has no weight. Plus I gave it a bit more than I showed trying. Just don't want to tear up my machine.

Yep.
Hard to get the next one out when you break your equipment on this one.
Well done, real smooth

Right tool for the right job 👍👍
You got that right!
Fine job Casey!! Nice scenery! I'll say one thing... those boys know how to get their trucks "Properly Stuck"!! LOL!!!
Came over from Adventure Man Van's channel. Thanks for helping Brian out. Looking forward to following along with you. You've got a new subscriber.
Thanks
Nodwell is a beast
Well done . I really like the drone coverage...
Good thing some people think they can make their 8000 lb pickup float! It keeps you busy and makes great videos 👍
The scenery was good. Looked like some awesome places to camp (if you can). At least you didn’t say, “look, no teeth”. 😀😀
Nothing like a double header. Great video and beautiful scenery. As always, thanks for sharing.
That machine rocks. Thanks for sharing
Saw you on AdventurevanMan's video and had to come over and subscribe to your channel
Love the Noddy! That was quite the recovery! Certainly broke in that Ford...at least the paint! Great scenery from your office window!!
Great aerial footage to, great photography, all the best
Yup nothing beats capping off a good day with some tire rotation!!!! Thanks for another good noddy vid!!!!! Keep em comin!

That must be such a great feeling getting both his vehicles out when he thought he had it 😁👌
Well that was awesome. Came to your channel, via AdventureVanMan. Glad I stopped by, great stuff. 😎 --Mark
Thanks for coming
Brian sent me. Nice rig.
Man that Nodwell is a beast. Looks like it would be a high maintenance type of rig but what a great recovery tool.
It is pretty simple and easy to work on. Great Machine for sure

Little trick to keep steering straight. Put a piece of colored tape top center of steering wheel.

It looks soooooo easy when you do it! ..... except for the trailer tire part.
And once again Poppy lead the way and found the disabled trucks.

Dont think I'd been out there with my 90,000 dollar truck in the first place! (not that I could afford one) Todd the retired trucker.
Another thing that boggles the mind is the physics behind how a 7/16" to 3/4" soft shackle can be used to attach a 1-1/2" to 2" recovery rope?
That was good 2 Fer 1 good recovery

How did he ever think that was going to work when he seen what happened on the first attempt people doing stupid stuff never fails to suprise
Two questions for you: How many miles can that pup run? How much does the Nodwell weigh?
She does 18 20 miles when we have a big day on the mules. Noddy 10k
It looked like Becky was going to get herself stuck in the mud.
She had size 11 boots on...good displacement.
Not that's a rescue in a remote location
what does the nodwell weigh
11k
I wonder how many people watching this had no idea what, “mucking” boots are. 🤣🤣🤣
Just because you paid to much for your truck doesn't mean it won't get stuck!!!
Not to often you see someone double down on dumb.... Spring thaw is a Bitch.
You need to tighten up those tracks.
It is time to torch off the tensioners on the right side and get things to slide.....she is all rusted up.

You are not charging enough. People keep going impassible places.
reasons not to drive off the trail... beyond damaging the landscape, and breaking laws, your likely to bury your truck
diesel trucks and mud dont mix

It stretches like a rubber band because it is kinetic rope. That's the secret to its success.
