We offer advice, tips and tricks, review campsites and associated products or services. We also occasionally make videos about other trips we take without the motorhome.

It's a lovely club site but very busy and gets Hellish Windy, in fact we had to take our porch Awning down a bit Quick!!.. we love the area so going to valley truckle camelford but soon closing for Bypass ..shame!..
It’s a beautiful area and we did the coastal walk to Boscastle and back. Great memories 😃 Thanks for watching 👍🏻🚐 Trev
We were there in August and absolutely stunning site and loved the chip van Friday evening.👍
Oh we missed the chip van. I remember seeing the sign but we moved to a new site before it came. Definitely a fabulous site for views of the coastline. Thanks for watching 😃 Trev n Sue
Hi Trev and Sue visited once before and were due to go this year but couldn’t due to Covid. However having heard recently about the shuffling about shenanigans I wonder if I want to go back. Thanks for sharing.
Colin it’s a beautiful site but for me it’s become too popular. The open field was full as you could see and there were no hardstand pitches. The full sign was on the gate every night. It’s certainly up there as one of the best views from a camp site. 😀
Hello guys haven't seen your videos in a while for some reason youtube tuned off your notifications for your channel. Loved the video! Safe travels;
Adventure Bandits thanks for watching. RUclips sometimes does that 🤨 Appreciate you joining us 😃👍🏻 Trev
Stayed here at the same time as yourself. Stunning views and sunsets. Great site however another full purpose built toilet block would make a big difference .
We can’t understand why it’s just temporary buildings. Definitely not club standard. Either to cash in or to provide as many pitches as possible. We didn’t use facilities much anyway.
Love those campsites facing the water! That's exactly where I would want to be!!!
Very popular positions on the cliff top but the same price as all the others 😃👍🏻 Trev
You should be on commission! Thanks to your lovely video we have booked here for our wedding anniversary next April. We love walking and Boscastle is my husband's favourite place in Cornwall. Thank you.
That sounds wonderful. If you walk to Boscastle along the coastal path, allow plenty of time, perhaps all day and soak up the scenery in both directions. It’s unforgettable and was one of our favourite walks of the trip. Enjoy your time there 😃👍 Trev n Sue
Looks lovely but I am put off by the wind. Having stayed at Southwinds in July for 3 nights in July where it felt like a constant hurricaine.
It was quite windy there on 2 days. We were there 4 nights and we had 2 beautiful days with very little breeze. We were lucky though. It didn’t rain but can only imagine what it would be like if it was wet AND windy 😫
Hi Trev and Sue. That’s a familiar site. We were in the same row, but right at the opposite end. Pete & Kaz 👍👍👍
Oh how strange. It was lovely there and we had 4 nights so we experienced the sunny and the misty weather. Was very busy and bigger than I expected. 😃 Trev
It's a "marmite site" Lovely rooftop sunset their Trev. Thanks for sharing..
Totally agree Graham. So pleased we experienced Trewethett Farm this year 😄 Trev
What a lovely site.
Certainly very scenic up there. It’s right next to the coastal path and if you get the weather, views are stunning 😃 Trev
Just incredible views from that site! Superb walking area... 👍🥾🌳 We always panic when they only offer grass only pitches...you know us, we often manage to get stuck !! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks both, slowly going to try and catch up with all your vlogs we’ve missed !! Michelle and Andy 😃😃😃
Oh thank you 😊 there are lots of videos so we understand if you just dip in. This was an amazing area, the site was a tad disappointing but then I probably expected too much. 😉🚐 Trev
Ahhh yes! Cornwall, my Happy Place! Looks like a beautiful place to camp, Trev and Sue. Lovely view of the sea and the hillside, with the hedgerows and stony steps. Fantastic time lapse of the clouds at the end, Trev. Great video. Your videos stand right up there with the ones with drone footage, etc.
Sue that’s a very kind comment thank you so much. We like to show the sites as they really are so it’s as real as possible. Some of the views from the coastal path were outstanding. You will see on our Friday video when we walk to Boscastle along the coastal path 😀 Trev
Was there a few weeks ago, lucky to get a front row pitch by the shower block. Fantastic site and spectacular walks on the coastal path 👍
Absolutely fantastic walks. Our video of our walk to Boscastle is out at 4pm today 👍🏻😃 Trev
Much prefer your way of looking round the site mate. Would really love to give the site a try but definitely put off by some of the things I’ve heard. Great vlog though mate and loved the footage from the top of joes van. Hope you paid him for the privilege 🤣🤣🤣👍
Thanks Aaron, it’s a beautiful area with lots to offer but.... Have a good weekend mate 😉 Trev
Love watching your videos, keep them coming. 👍🏴🏴👍🏴🏴🏴🏴👍 Love south coast.
Thanks Linda 😃 a Video out every day this week 🤭 Trev
Thanks for sharing Trev another lovely site. Would love to get down to Cornwall, shame work and COVID at the moment gets in the way. So many lovely places to go in this country keep them coming 👍😎
Cheers Ian, we are so lucky to have had this trip. Things are looking a little fragile for the next few weeks but hopefully we can get a few more trips organised 😀 Trev
Poshcats Camping I’ve got a trip to Wales in 3 weeks I’m quite expecting it to be cancelled in the coming weeks as different areas are getting worse.
We have just decided to cancel our Welsh trip for 7th October ☹️
Poshcats Camping I’m going to a tranquil site so can’t cancel so it will need them to force the issue I’m due to go on the 18th.
Fingers crossed. The Tranquil site we booked in May was cancelled but they let us book any other time we wanted after lockdown 🙂 Trev
We have never stayed on that site but I think we may be booking for next spring, thanks again for sharing 🥂
Anne absolutely stunning views and location. Easy reach of Tintagel and Boscastle too 😃👍🏻 Trev
What a fantastic informative video with some lovely footage too. Thanks Trev ~ Lin xx
Thank you Lin, it’s a very popular site and the wardens were really lovely. We were there for 4 nights which was good because we got both fine and misty weather. On a clear day you can see for miles. Normally we stay a max of 2 or 3 nights and move on to the next site. Hope you are enjoying your van. 😃 Trev
Beautiful location yet again Trev & Sue, we haven’t been to Cornwall yet, we were booked this summer but it got cancelled due to Covid ☹️ Very much looking forward to going next year🤞 Absolutely stunning time lapse of the sunset, loved it 🥰
Thanks so much you really are getting your Poshcats update today. Cornwall is beautiful and very popular so as you will see, we try to avoid the crowds but still find amazing Cornish treats too. Thewethett Farm is stunning and everyone wants to go there, but you can find many many more sites like it without the large number of people. The coastal path to Boscastle and Tintagel is just a few feet away from the van, so that’s another good reason to pay Trewethett a visit 👍🏻😀 Trev
Poshcats Camping Thanks for the info Trev 👍🏻 Catching up with our RUclips viewing this morning, it’s been a hectic few weeks & haven’t had a chance before now. Withdrawal symptoms had started to kick in 😀
Looks very familiar 😂. We loved it there, but did have a really nice pitch. Thanks for sharing👍 Mark & Coral
Not for us Mark. Beautiful place but too many people pacing about competing for a view. We wouldn’t go back. Much preferred St Agnes which was quieter with no toilet block. 😀 Trev
@@PoshcatsCamping Think we would of had a difference opinion if we didn't get the pitch we had .
We were there 4 nights and had plenty of opportunities to move. 😃
Your sunset view is breathtaking!
Thanks so much. I would have liked more colour but the clouds were interesting 😃 Trev
Hi mate are brilliant video this is one of the best I’ve seen of the site thank you so much
Very kind thank you 😊 we wanted to give you a walk round just like the other sites 👍🏻 Trev n Sue
Poshcats Camping Thank you for your kind words although I may part of the dark side I own a caravan , but I find you I find you your videos very interesting and Inspiration where to go this will last one question why don’t you come from Norfolk and Suffolk I recently went to Kesseland. I have been told you can drive a maximum of three hours for when you went down to Devon did you stop halfway through for the night just a bit of advice I think I’ll go down there next year thanks again for great videos
We started from our home in Ipswich at 6am and had a 45 minute break on the M4. We arrived at Burnham on Sea at about 1pm so we did two halves of 3 hours each. This was in the motorhome whilst towing a car. Hope it helps 😄 Trev
I must admit it does look a lovely site with some amazing views! I loved the way you filmed a time lapse! Take it easy and keep them coming!👏🏻 Best wishes Sue, Brian and The Westies.👍🐶🐾😷
Thanks so much. We had a cracking tour. Really worth waiting for after such a slow start this year. Lots more to come. 😃👍🏻 Trev
Awesome time-lapse so pretty x
Thank you, I wanted more colour but the clouds were interesting at least 😃 Trev
Lovely video have you been to Polmanter camping site in St Ives it’s a lovely site you can walk to St Ives from the site 👍😍x
Not been to Polmanter but will make a note if it. We avoided St Ives and Newquay along with a lot of the other main places to avoid crowds. Thanks for your comments Jackie 😃🚐
HI there - Snap! Just did a Cornish campsite tour which include this great site. Have you been to the Agnes Beacon site? -Well worth a visit, lovely site and wonderful scenery!! Thank you for sharing
Hey 👋 yes St Agnes Beacon will be featured in our videos next week. Really enjoyed this tour. Brought back some amazing memories 👍🏻 Trev
Lovely time lapse Trev 👍🏻
Thank you, wasn’t sure if I should use it as there was limited colour but the clouds were interesting 😀 Trev
I’m enjoying this video!
Thank you Thomas 😃👍🏻 Trev
Great video Trev, now then, don’t you worry about competing with YT channels with snazzy technologies, in my job I use High orbit and low orbit satellite imagery, high resolution drone imagery, thermal, Lidar and IR, which is all very good but the best optical imagery in the world is the Mk1 eyeball, your videos capture more reality than all those fancy gadgets, keep up the great work👍
Wow thank you. We do like to show it how it is. If I don’t like something I will be honest. There was nothing to dislike here at Trewethett Farm as it’s in a stunning location. The commercialism puts a strain on its beauty though with dozens of units jostling for the finest views. Nature wins through though 😉🚐 Trev
Nice one trev looks a nice site bow long r u away for .kev
We were away for 22 nights but we are home now. Just in time for the weather to change 😉🚐 Trev
Good timing timing there trev god help me I'm bak down Somerset a week on Fri hope weather picks bak up by then
Hi. Do you have to be a club member to use this site, and is there any fishing areas please? Thank you. Ann and Ian.
Non members are welcome but this site does get booked well in advance. I would imagine there is good sea fishing locally and we did go on a fishing trip from Padstow on a boat a few years ago. That was an experience to remember 😃. It’s a beautiful area to visit and there are lots of camp sites along the north Cornish coast. 🚐 Trev
😊👍
👍🏻😁
Cracking Shot from the Roof, looks a lovely Place, but I bet its a Premium Price , Prob not as Much as Rico Steins Eatery n Chip Shop
Haha... we paid about £26 per night for 2 people and standard pitch with hookup. Not bad considering the beautiful location 😃👍🏻 Trev
Used to come here as a kid in the 70s and 80s
It used to be an amazing place.
Looks pretty horrible now.
It’s one of those sites you either love or hate. We think the pest part of it is access to the coastal path which has stunning views in both directions. Thanks for sharing your comments 🙂👍🏻🚐 Trev
@@PoshcatsCamping
The views are stunning. It’s the best location I’ve ever seen along the north coast of Cornwall. But, I loved it when it was run by a local family the Harrises and then John and Anne Pennington (nee Harris). Lovely people.
They then sold it. It’s now crappy and corporate.
But, as you say…. for those who don’t have such sentimental attachment as I do, I’m sure they would love it.
Think that's the site Lindsay's family used in the 70's
Beautiful place but surprisingly not our favourite. Just a little too much competition for the best spots and a tad too crowded for us 😉 Trev
First
Hi Harry 👍🏻😃
I stayed on there from the age of one (1969) until 1986 - we called it “Harris’s Farm” that was the old farmers name. I wouldn’t recognise it now. And I wouldn’t stay on there. Looks horrible. Completely ruined by the Caravan and Motorhome Club. No thank you. Wouldn’t give them my money.
It’s definitely a love it or hate it site. We won’t be going back again as we thought it was too commercialised. Access to the coastal path was the best bit of the campsite 😃 Trev
We stayed here sept 11th -15th on pitch 118 on the grass area , it was lovely, we were right in line with the sunset. And nobody I n font of us apart form a couple of tents.we used our own facilities so couldn't comment on shower block. Nice walk to either tintagel or boscastle...we catch the bus home though.
Great views from up there. We were down near the entrance. We used our own facilities too 😃 Trev
