Shane, you have such a beautiful view of the world and your vision truly came alive through this video. I remember your live at this castle and have been eagerly awaiting this video. Well worth the wait! You have a way of making us feel like we are right there experiencing this amazing place, too. Thank you!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this comment, Rose. Thank you so much for sharing. Yes, I took this footage 15 months ago (same time that I hosted the LIVE stream), but it has obviously taken me a long time to figure out how to construct the video. There was hours and hours of footage and I knew I couldn't include it all. This one definitely took some chiseling, which is why your comment was so rewarding to hear. Again, thank you!
I love your videos, Shane, and this one was fantastic! I feel like I’m there, too. Your cinematography is stellar, and the whole production is wonderful. I look forward to these mini-vacations, and can’t wait until the next one! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
Leenie, it's my absolute pleasure to share these experiences you you folks. It's very rewarding for me as well. And thank you so much for your kind words; it truly does mean a lot to me. More adventures to come.
What a epic adventure! I can’t believe the grandeur of that property. No one could have done this better! How amazing was it to see the castle covered in snow. I am overjoyed to see what you created, to document your experience. The live of this was awesome and this was truly worth the wait. Bravo 🎉
Thanks for sitting through this one, Stephanie. Also, thank you for your contribution to make it happen. I never want to put off editing on a video like I did with this one, but it definitely had me stumped on how I was going to piece it all together. Thanks for all you do. Hope you're well!
Shane, what beautiful cinematography and editing! I loved that the castle felt so peaceful, and I definitely picked up on that right from the start of your film despite its spooky reputation. I think these days we all let way too much noise and information distract us from deeper questions and experiences. I am so glad you got to enjoy the renewal of quiet and solitude there!
You're absolutely right, Carol. I was trying to make a spooky video, but I couldn't help being reminded how incredibly charming the whole property is. Wing's is definitely the perfect place for anyone who is trying to re-center themselves. It was a beautiful experience. Thank you so much for your continued viewership and kindness. Hope you're well!
Found your channel by accident (your halloween candle rating video) so decided to give this one a try - I'm hooked and will watch the rest. So fun to visit these places vicariously - thanks for taking us along!!
Excellent video. I loved the castle & hope you go back to stay in the other room. I got scared when you lost your flashlight, I knew you were in the woods. I would have freaked. Your room & the castle was beautiful . TY for sharing the experience.
Barbara, yes I truly hope to have another stay sometime soon. I think it would be great to plan a night during the winter when the property is covered in snow. The snow makes it feel so enchanting. My pleasure sharing; thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much, Laura! I try my best for you guys. And yes, this location is one of the more interesting places I've ever stayed... can't wait for the opportunity to go back. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Jamie, thank you for the kind words AND your contribution to this video. My apologies for it taking me so long to figure out how to piece this one together. Thanks again!
What an experience this video is!!!! The magical snow at the end may have been the supernatural for which you were looking. Thanks so much for this vicarious adventure! Bill and Kathy
Thanks so much to both of you! It’s always my pleasure to share, and this one was certainly no exception. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to edit this video, but my and everyone’s patience (I believe) paid off. Thanks again! 🙏
Shane strikes again! This is awesome brother. I say it every time but once again man I’m so glad you’re back. I know I speak for others as well. Fantastic.
So great to read this, Marvin. Thank you! It’s beyond a pleasure to be back; I’ve missed this process so much. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
I absolutely love this video. You make every thing you share amazing and I feel like a part of your experience. You have a gift and a talent all your own that I have not seen before. The scariest part to me was watching you walk around in the dark alone on all of the wet stone. Thank you for sharing I truly enjoy watching. I was born and raised in NY close to Millbrook but have never heard of Wing's Castle it is beautiful. I like how you notice details that in our rushed world may not be noticed. Thank you again
There’s so much here that made me smile. Thank you so much, Susan! Also, thank you tremendously for your contribution to make this video happen. My apologies for it taking so long for me to complete… but hopefully our patience paid off. 🙏
I really appreciate it, Eric. Thanks! Also, thank you for your contribution. My apologies for it taking SO long for me to finally put this one together. The stay ended up being 3 days with an additional 2 afternoons of filming the tour section of the video. I had to go back for the tour because of the constant rain and snow during my stay. All of this to say, I had hours and hours of footage to sort through… while trying to decide how on Earth I was going to assemble this video. Yours and everyone’s patience was very much appreciated.
Shane, I honestly do not understand how this video does not have millions of views. This is a whole movie right there😮! I am sure you would make a most talented movie director ever! Your RUclips channel is such a delight. Amazing candle reviews, Aromatic Adventures, spooky athmosphere - everything about your channel is so charismatic and special. Wish you lots of love❤
Thanks so much, Kat! Yes, the whole experience ended up being completely wonderful in almost every way. So glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Amazing video. I wonder if you really caught a ghost walking above your head? It sure sounded like foot steps to me. Thank you for inspiring me to take RUclips more seriously and start posting videos that I am passionate about.
Rachel, if there is anyone who would truly appreciate this location, it's you. Elegantly evil. P.S. sorry it took me so long to figure out how to piece this one together.
Are there any candles (or anything else) you'd recommend to enhance the experience of visiting? I love how you bring extras, like the village miniatures to the Red Lion Inn, to set the mood and make it even more special.
Thanks for asking, Emily. Here’s a few off the top of my head: 1.) in the video, you’ll see me lighting up a candle by Washington Wicks called DARKLORE MANOR. I’ll probably always associate that candle with that particular night in the cottage. 2.) a fun one, if you can still find it, is Village Candle’s FORBIDDEN FOREST. By the looks of the candle, it doesn’t seem all that spooky, but I find it to be a great scent for haunting evenings. 3.) lastly I have to recommend an obvious candidate… WITCHES’ BREW by Yankee Candle. Reason being… when I first visited Wing’s Castle, I was filming one of my first videos for this channel, and the subject was WITCHES’ BREW. Again, I have such an association with that visit and the scent that I can’t help but recommend it. Side note: please check with the owners of Wing’s regarding their policy on candle burning. They might restrict burning from certain areas. Thanks, Emily.
@@TheCandleEnthusiast Thank you so much! I'll definitely try to pick one of these up for our trip. I've been following TCE since 2016, so knowing your personal connection to the scents adds another layer of fun. Will report back on any "Joshua" encounters. :D

Matthew, thanks for asking. Yes, this point in the video presented a bit of a challenge for me in the editing. However, it's also difficult for me to explain how it really played out. I honestly can say that I can't explain why I decided not to film at 3am. When I first reviewed the footage, I was so frustrated with myself that I never recorded that footage. I know I was up until at least 5am that night, but something prevented me from picking up the camera at 3am. Perhaps it was because I thought I was going to be staying in the cottage for another night. As you saw in the video, I spoke with the owner to switch my stay from the cottage to the dungeon on the second night. I will say... there is an upset feeling I have every time I enter that upstairs bedroom. I'm sure most of it is my imagination and the stories I've been told. I would NOT enjoy spending the night in that room. Other than the upstairs, the entire cottage is incredibly charming. Thanks again.

We owned a home built in 1900. The creaky floors were a part of the vintage experience. There were always noises day and night that had unseen causes.

Is that place really haunted??
Depends on who you ask. I haven’t experienced significant proof, but I’ve spoken with many who swear that they have.
Oh ok and is this place OPEN to the public??
Yes, but closed during the Winter season. WingsCastle.com
