Songs like Tem Shop/Dogsong and His Theme/Memory are the same songs but with different instruments. When you play them on the piano, they're indistinguishable.

'An Ending' is perhaps one of the saddest songs in the context of the multiple endings, since no matter what happens, when that song plays, the monsters are in a worse position than they were before. It's in a way much more somber than the Genocide Route, because in the genocide route, they at least have hope that they can defeat you; however, in neutral endings, there's no hope. They're just as bad off as they were in the beginning, except now they are lacking a King. In the neutral ending, you're just a passerby who is unwittingly in the exact spot to take every bit of remaining hope the monsters have away.

Besides, about the hope thing, Sans did talk about it, that sometimes it's better to take what you're given or something like that, since, y''know, they're already living peacifully down there, They aren't really suffering unless, y'know, fucking murdered a lot of people, Otherwise, they can get used to it.

When i heard it, i was thinking "Thats obviously Death By Glamour" but then it said CORE and i was like "Huh??"

The reason this gets me is because Memory, Undertale, and His Theme are so similar
I recognized all of the songs but my guesses were ruined by the fact that I haven’t participated in the fandom for years and several use the same motif that is indistinguishable on piano 😅
I got faked out by the leitmotifs from His Theme every time
and I could hardly tell the difference between the snip you played of Bring it in Guys and Enemy Approaching

yeah, like I said, they both have the same starting melody, but iirc Dummy! starts off a bit quicker and lower than Ghost Fight

After hearing "your best nightmare" on piano I now noticed the Mother 1 first fight song in it, has a similar feel to it; the first thing you fight is a possessed lamp from your room, the house is invaded by a poltergeist.

The only reason I got Power of NEO was because it sounded more robotic than Battle Against a True Hero
i just remember how power of neo is just one thing repeating whereas battle against a true hero is Different

Yeah, I really don't like it when people say "Megalovania is the best Undertale song". Because.. no, it's not! It actually seriously sounds like they're shoving the actual Undertale OST aside to listen to something way older that was remixed to death already.

When you remember the name of a character's theme but not the name of their matching pre-battle/battle themes 😂. I remember where in the game all the songs play and most of the titles, but I had to think about some of the lietmotifs and pay attention to pitch so I wouldn’t confuse the names with each other haha. I musta confused or forgotten around a 5th of the names or something?
Moments I had:
-saying ASGORE before immediately correcting to Bergentrückung
-Forgetting "Medium" in Another Medium and being mildly upset bc it's one of my favorites
-remembering Fallen Down's name right before the timer gave out
-straight up forgetting Spear of Justice's name, but knowing with absolute certainty it wasn't Undyne
-(speaking spowly) "...Bird That Carries You Over a Disproportionately Small Gap...oh sweet I got it :D"
-"canyoureallycallthisahotelididn'trecieveamintonmypilloworanything".
-"Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans". (Megalovania plays next.) "Song that Actually Plays When You Fight Sans"
-of course, straight up bopping to all of the energetic ones, and definitely to all of the boss battle themes bc this soundtrack deserves it
With 24, I hate how people think Undyne’s theme is “Spear of Justice”, when there is LITERALLY A SONG IN THE OST *NAMED UNDYNE*
spear of justice is the more memorable theme, since it is used in the fight, most people seem to memorize the fight music more than other themes
Nyeh Heh Heh is less recognised as Papyrus’ theme since Bonetrousle is used during the fight

Well, Undyne’s theme is more of a theme you get with first impressions. You think she’s a scary, destruction machine with no feelings. But when you get to spear of justice, more of her character is shown. (plus spear of justice could kick the moon out of orbit with those louder segments)
There's also an OST called "Run" which is basically an OST that you run away from undyne. Undyne attacks you with her spears. That's all.

The music in Undertale is so incredibly good, that even despite the fact that someone hate that game because of fandom, it have to admit, that it’s one of the best soundtracks from games.
It’s a real rollercoaster: from almost childish „your best friend”, to something with high tense like „spider dance”,”Megalovania”, or „Bonetrousle”. There is also some chill music like „snowy” and „quiet water”, and something that is so nostalgic, that can bring you to the edge of tears „his theme” „it’s raining somewhere else” „Undertale” or „dont give up”. Oh yes, and some annoying stuff like „tem shop”.
Even after all those years i’m still listening to this, and i’m in love of how beautiful it is…

Never played Undertale and got all of them with exception of Bring It In Guys because the part that was played is entirely indistinguishable from Enemy Approaching with exception of the last two notes they played, which were too fast for my brain to register

I got really tripped up on The hot land ones but I remembered the ending songs because I’m currently stuck on Asgores fight.also I just listened to the soundtrack yesterday
I got most of them right, except for CORE, which I thought was another medium (but I completely knew that CORE was a big possibility), and Bring it in, guys! Which I thought was enemy approaching.
... And there were a few where I forgot to guess and was just kinda enjoying it

19. Thought this was "Live Report" (all those Mettaton themes are hard to keep track of).
25. Thought this was "Enemy Approaching".
One thing I would suggest would be to do different sections of certain themes, for example, the "Spear of Justice" one could have also been "Ngaahhh" since those are the same at the beginning. (Also using both "Bonetrousle" and "Nyeh heh heh" was a cheap shot. )

I like your takes on the music, they’re the same as the normal soundtrack but with little glisses and notation tweaks that make the music sound unique. Either way this was an awesome way to test my knowledge of Undertale’s amazing soundtrack!!

It's been almost a year since I last took this test or listened to the Undertale OST, yet I guessed EVERY SINGE ONE CORRECTLY WITHOUT HELP.
this has proven to me that I am a TRUE Undertale fan.
You know, for someone who's never played Undertale before, I did really well. The only one I didn't recognize was Stronger Enemies. I particularly love Undertale music and found this a very fun challenge.
