I've pissed dirty one time from my first p.o. my 2nd p.o. came to my house like 3 days ago and told me she found out i haven't spoken to my counselor for 5 months and told me to hurry and get another counselor before she reports it to the judge because she says she haves to report it.... so i did and now i have my exact same counselor again... so my question is, from your experience is there's still potential that the judge won't violate me and i can still have my freedom and won't get sent to prison?

My life long friend of over 20 years is dealing with his 3rd DUI a little over a year ago, He was trying to do all that was asked of him, unfortunately COVID screwed up his ability to work, he couldn’t afford the SR 22 insurance, the blow-n-Go or the mandatory classes, he made a lousy decision out of fear to just ignore the entire thing. Now he’s heading to court this Monday April 5, 2021, I’m pretty sure he missed 2 or 3 of his PO appointments, hasn’t sighted up for classes, and he’s not kept up his Blow-n-Go, et cetera due to being flat ass broke, I know because I’ve allowed him to stay here on my couch and I’m feeding him. It’s depressing as hell to watch him, he’s 62 years old I think he’s going to get jail time, my question is how long might this be?
In my experience, over 2 probation cycles, admitting to your PO ANYTHING will not help. That said, the fist meeting about telling them you’re dirty is real but afterwards never do it! Just like the police, they can’t promise anything and it all will be used against you!
It'll definitely be used against you, but if are asked to submit a drug test that you know will be dirty, just admit it to save time and money.
The violation will be there regardless.

Your Favorite P. O. So as an EX-PO I’d like your personal opinion. If you knew you were clean, at the time of testing, would you still advise you tell your PO you had any drugs/alcohol since the last visit? Not being condescending, honestly wondering
Your Favorite P. O. Also another side question. I’ve never had an interlocked device for my vehicle while on probation, but for someone who registers a failed reading what options do they have? I remember during intro operations during my first probation they mentioned it but the risk factor that comes with how many ways a false positive could register I.e. mouth wash, Cologne, alcohol swaps (for disinfecting/cleaning of the mouth piece I assume) or other areas.
No, if you know you will be clean it isn't necessary to tell the officer anything.
No what you need to do is either try and dilute your piss test as much as possible or get quick fix and use whizzinator

In California, a probationer is not prohibited from smoking tobacco or marijuana, nor from drinking alcohol unless those are in their probation terms. There is a term in almost all probation cases prohibiting use of "dangerous drugs." The courts here have ruled that "dangerous" means "illegal for personal use."
Is that true because it doesn’t say anything about not smoking marijuana or any other drugs in my paperwork and not only that I smoked since I came back but not frequent so I was just wondering if I’ll get violated or not .
@@kashwayz A spiteful PO might try it anyway. If they do, talk to a good attorney. Illegal drug use will always be a potential violation.
@@freakylocz14 i just seen my PO yesterday she said that for marijuana since it’s not in my terms and conditions that I can smoke marijuana & I won’t get violated for it I have probation in sac county .

I failed my probation drug test about a month ago, but since then i’ve been approved and have received my medical card. i’m all caught up on fines, community service, work a full time job. I just had that one failed test for thc. they are supposed to drug test me in court for my violation, but I now have my card. how does that work??
They do not care if we have our card because it is still illegal federally, yes, even with a medical card.

I have a question so last week was my first time peeing on probation/parole I told him I was dirty and that I was a heavy smoker. Like I’ve been smoking for years 3-7x a day I’ve even smoked an hour before going in that day. But I’m in school with a full time job, work out, no kids and young. I’m doing good in life just not the smoking part. And on my second week which is this week I hit a blunt but I tried flushing it out with allot of water and cranberry juice. What should I tell him?? I slipped up?
Yup, tell him what happened. Since THC stays in your system for so long, he needs to know the date you last used, so he will have a better idea of when you'll pass a drug test

What if you paid off your probation office but she told you don't have to come see her but you still need to pay on your fee
I have probation starting friday! So, if I'm honest about smoking weed one last time (a week before my probation starts) will my probation officer let me go and let me get clean, or will they just handcuff me right there because in my deal said no Marijuana/or Alcohol.
They will likely give u a pass. It's highly unlikely that they will arrest u

Most often ppl violate by doing drugs/alcohol, not paying fess, or not reporting to their officer.

I don't have any substitutes, but my offenders would work out more instead of smoking
Look into kratom, bro... I recommend the red or green strains of maeng da... Totally legal in the state of Texas and most other states too, with a few exceptions but we is fighting the good fight on that one as we speak, and I personally recommend MBC Botanicals to get it from cuz shit aint all questionable... I wouldn't smoke it although you can technically, just toss and wash or sip it as tea. 😎✌️

I’m a minor with probation but should have court in 6 days and probation officer is saying he is recommending I get off probation. Is there any chance you think he’d call me in for a drug test you think within these 6 days? Also after court if judge allows probation to be terminated and everything is it actually all done with right then and there? Or will I still have probation after the court meeting or even a couple days later?
It's typically all done after you sign the paperwork in court. I would say be prepared for a random drug test.

I have an appointment tomorrow and my car has been totaled. I have no way of getting there I told my po and she is not being understanding and still expects me to come. What should I do?
How do you battle false positive drug tests? I have a friend that wears a patch and she used to smoke daily. Once she was charged she stopped smoking immediately but it took almost 3 months to get the patch. She has not smoked at all during the 3 months of waiting. And the patch is coming back as a false positive. How do you explain this to the PO and how do we get them to believe us?
False positive drug testes usually are send to a lab.
Have you've ever had a client have a ignition interlock violation? Did you ever receive reports from the DMV after their recalibration? What would you do in the instance that they've only had one fail test? Thank you!

Your Favorite P. O. As a parole officer, what do you think of these prison channels? Are they doing a good thing for people coming home from prison?, do you think their message is a positive one? Are there certain channel who’s message is negative compared to others? How many days/hours can the urine test detect alcohol? Have to do my first test here soon. I'm drug free, just worried about being alcohol positive..
If you drink two or more it can fond in your Urine up to 12 to 130 hours .A biomarker can reflects up to 14 days in Urine .
I’m about to start my deferred here in Texas and I stopped smoking 22 days ago, I’m unsure if I’m clean or not (probably not just yet) so if asked I just tell him or her that yeah I used a month or so ago but have stopped and am unsure about what my results would be?

My first drug test she knew I’d fail because I was heavily smoking before I started probation and I let her know . Not sure if that was a violation . However I took a drug test and a smoked 2 times a few days before . Would this be my first or second violation. Do you think she will revoke it im super nervous
It'll be your second violation. I highly doubt she'll recommend revoking your probation. I suggest that you go to NA meetings online, and show proof to you PO at the next visit. Just show her that you are trying to do better. Good luck! 🤗
So on your first meet with your PO and your offense isn’t drug related can they violate you if you’re test is dirty? Cause it’s not right at all if so, because there was no time to get clean and you didn’t know you’d be on probation a few days later. Thank you for your time
Yes, it can be considered a violation depending on the substance the person tests positive for. Because certain substances only last in your system a few days.
I’m currently 4 months pregnant and just got a 3 days sanction for a technicality for missing my ged class. I have a high school diploma and I got out in jail for it. I’m a transfer from a different city and they transferred me back to the place I caught the charge from. I’m passing my drug tests but my probation officer had me in his office telling me how if I went to prison he would feel better if I didn’t have the baby and my family is starting to let me keep my daughter again and he said he don’t feel safe with me keeping her and that I’m a selfish manipulative spoiled brat because I “lied” about having court on my restitution. I payed on it before I got a letter in the mail proving I had court and he called the day I was getting sanctioned and they said I wasn’t on the docket. I’ve never lied to him even about pissing dirty. My sponsor who is up there even said she doesn’t like the kick that they’re on up there rn taking everybody to jail over stupid things. I’m scared as hell because this baby is a new beginning for my life. I don’t want to have my baby in prison. I’ve violated and been revoked before when I was on heroin and it’s ruined a lot of trust with different probation officers and the one I was seeing was my DAILY reporting officer. The daily reporting is extremely hard especially with a baby on the way. I have no time for a job which is hard. My child father is hardly in the picture and I have to do it on my own. Just trying to figure out what to say when I go up there because my life has changed so much since I saw him last. He doesn’t know me and I’ve only met him in person once. Monthly reporting would be much easier. I’m hoping that putting in job apps among other things will help me but they really don’t like me and the judge said if she saw me again she’s sending me to prison. I EOS in June on this charge and I’ve done 3 years almost on a 3 split 10 month sentence. Help? If I went to prison would I mandatory out before I have the baby with almost a year jail credit? Im due in the beginning of may. This is just such a terrible situation and everybody else agrees.
I have a job interview at our district probation and parole board office, The job is not as a probation or parole officer, it is an admin position where I will have daily contact with individuals reporting to their officer. I am trying to find as much information I can on how to interact with them. To treat them with courtesy, be polite, but also, I am thinking there will need to be some tough love.

I fell asleep waiting at a red light on my way home because i was high (weed). Im afraid i might go to jail. It is my first violation. Yes, you can take a marijuana awareness class or seek drug counseling. Then tell your officer how you're dealing with it. But STOP USING MARIJUANA until I finish Probation. Good luck 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hi!!!! Please respond because I’m panicking. My husband got arrested back on June 7 & served 45 days for a gun charged and was also placed on probation , we live in another county so they transferred it to the county we live in… when he got out July 21 he went straight to his PO for his first visit & tested dirty for marijuana & got arrested because the judge in the other county put on his file to arrest him for first positive and he has a $5,000 cash only bond . I’m not able to pay the bond but he has court on July 26 will he be released since his PO actually wanted him to do only 2days time served?

My friend payed his restitution and is basically done with probation but the other day his p.o asked him to come in for a drug test before they submit his Early release to the courts, he don’t think he will pass , what do you think will happen ?
It's really up to the judge, but in my opinion, he won't be granted early release if the UA is dirty
My friend went to jail for vop failing drug test. 1st offense. He has a revocation court date will they keep him or let him go on longer terms and drug classes

@YourFavoritePO i hope you see this please 🙏 your page is giving me sense lf relief but still worried.. I failed at home intoxalock. Blew 0.05 then 0.02 after an hour then finally 0.00 at the next window which was 2 hours later. I was sick with strep and on meds and have proof. My attorney recommended me to voluntarily go take an ETG test to prove that I wasn't drinking and I passed but my PO said she was going to go off the reading on BAC machine. What do I do? What should I expect? I'm on the PTD program, and now anxious. This is will be considered my first violation. And I have done everything she has asked of me so far and passed every ETG tets even this one.
Usually if it's your first one, they will have u speak to a drug and alcohol counselor. I'm assuming ur on probation for DWI. If it's your first offense for this, and you passed the ETG, then you will be fine.
@YourFavoritePO yes I am on a PTD program from DWI w/ child. It is my first offense. No other criminal record. I just did a alcohol/drug evaluation and they did not recommend further counseling. Do you think they will implement this because of the breathalyzer violation? How can I work with my PO? I want to say we have a pretty good open door policy relationship.
Also better to show up high then abscond just saying we offer addiction programs.

I was clean for two month but as soon as my pcp signed my probation paper stating that I can smoke or that she recommended I smoke , I also got my medical marijuana card, I smoked as soon as she signed that paper and when I sent my p.O the signed paper he told me I’m not suppose to smoke until the judge approves it, this was like a month ago I still haven’t stop smoking and my probation didn’t violate me but if she decided to violate me do U think the judge would violate me as I have my papers signed by my pcp and I have my medical card

Hello, I hope your doing well! Can you please help me with a question I have. I live in California and I am on felony probation, I done took classes I have a job been on good behavior for a year. I got stopped by cops, I was at a concert with some people and they found drugs and it landed on me since it was in my car and no one took blame for it. The cop knew I was on felony probation but didn’t cite me or arrest me.. just let me go and took everything. I just got a property letter saying that have my stuff at their police department. Since they didn’t arrest me or charge me will my p.o know or should I not tell him? My previous charge were drugs related.. I’m hoping for a second chance 😭😭😭
Sometimes the police will go the extra mile and call the PO themselves. If I were you, I would wait for the P.O. to bring it up.

Wish I had u as my p.o, I would be off right now not facing revocation. 5 years probation for dwi w/child first offence, I hadn't drank in 2 years prior and it's been 7 years now since I have consumed a drop. My term ended January 2020 but I had not completed all my csr hours and owed court costs still, probation was paid in full. So I agreed to extend 6 months, giving me time to do those. Covid prevented that, my health has deteriorated since then with RA and very likely heart disease but I can't afford a specialist so yea. I have been nothing but a model citizen supporting my kids and wife whom is a teacher(stepmom). I fought to get custody back after this and won as their mother is drug addicted and not stable, I've had them for almost three years now. My probation debt and the stress is hurting them just as much and I hate that. The past 3 months I have spent mainly in bed, it's been horrible. Only to get a call in june, the month after my extension was up claiming that I absconded and needed to report to clear up things. I was given a date and I reported and was arrested. I had a fever, as I now often do so i tested negative for covid and placed in jail. I was never told y despite asking every officer and even the judge. Found Out it was failing to report. Makes sense, 5 perfect years and because I worked so much to stay afloat and couldn't pay everything on time I am now being revoked. I was headed to get a law degree before the dwi happened. I know I committed a crime when I got the DWI, I was presented with 2 horrible option's at the time, i left a harmful situation but I did so after I had a smirnoff. I was pulled over, it could have been so much worse as is the case with dwi's. I regret that initial decision daily, I will never drink again and I also feel very passionate about drunk driving. I hate it, I've seen the devastation it brings. I have written multiple speeches on this and my experience so I know how bad of a decision this was. The last thing in my rant is this, if you take that day away then I am speaking as a lawyer and not a criminal, I am contributing to society and able to provide for my family rather than be a burden.
Firstly, thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, working as a PO for over 4 years, I've witnessed this sort of situation more times than I'd like to admit. From what you've explained, I'm pretty sure you won't be revoked and sent to prison. I'm sure the entire process is daunting to say the least, but you will get through it! What state are you in? Sounds a lot like TX.
@@YourFavoritePO I really hope not, my court fines will be all paid before the hearing, whenever they scheduled it but the C.S.R I can't do anything about. I need to see a specialist so I can do something about my heart before it's too late, resting hr has been 105 to 108 for at least a week. Apparently its unhealthy for a 28 y.o. but until I get this over with I can't do much about my stress levels. I hope it all works out, I can't really blame the situation on the system since I am the one who committed the crime. I have just heard and read so many similar situations that have ended badly. heartbreaking in some of those and seems so wrong but I understand both perspectives. It's a very complicated problem but I do see solutions so I have some hope. Yes, it is Texas unfortunately. I appreciate your response, not many people in an authoritative position over criminals see them as anything else. If only that could change, it would make a significant impact for those caught in the net that was never intended for them.

What if I got some traffic citations while in probation? I got M/ F to Maintain / F- To Report Accident / M- F to Have Insurance / M- hit and run? I lost control of the car and hit a stop sign and have my own witnesses to back this information up as well.
Hey I had an appointment for the first time the 20th we set it for the 6th this month may he never called but me but is a really nice understanding guy I’m low risk he said and wanted to enroll me in the online program so I didn’t have to commute to him, my only worry is I got the dates mixed up he moved me up to the 6th of may from our first meeting April 20th, I called and left a email

Almost everday day (with some days off) hes been drinking 1 to 2 tall cans of modelo sometimes 5 at most . If he's been drinking these past few weeks and the last drink he had was yesterday approximately Tuesday 7-4-23 8:19pm in the LA area . Will he pass a probation etg/drug test if he test monday 7-10-23 at 8am ? He's about 6' feet and a quarter tall he weighs about 260 pounds Maybe a little more. He eats Mexican food too

@@trentwilson1386 hope they don't find out. In my state it's common for ppl to pickup charges in other counties n never find out. I know ppl who did 2 or even 3 sepsraate county misdemeanor probation and completed both without each county even noticing

Get the best lawyer you can get hopefully that lawyer is friends with the judge and you can get probation continued. I caught two felonies while on probation and went on the run 2 seperate times for over two years each time and got back on probation they just gave me double the time on probation and if I fail once I’ll get impatient treatment if I fail for like 9 months pretty much

@@YourFavoritePO the original charge was possession of controlled substance over 2 years ago, she did a few months in county and then got on her probation and she's only had this one slip up with the PI about 7 months ago but for some reason they didn't decide to claim it as a violation til today on her visit. She completed her drug and AA classes, did her community service, passed ever drug screen. This was the only slip up.

I would like to ask that if I'm a felon which I am and my charges for Contraband and it was just a small ordeal but the charge is there if my father which is disabled and I take care of him and you know what I'm not here you really can't defend itself so now that's a new laws has been passed for Tennessee is there any way I can be violated if he has a weapon inside of a safe that I have no access to for two reasons because I don't go in there around that room he stays in and also I don't have any visual or contact with the firearm but I was told differently but my paperwork doesn't say anything about it so is it legal or not if he wanted to exercise his second amendment rights if he had a safe

Stop smoking. Anything you do before signing for probation in court doesn't count against you, unless ur on pre-trial supervision

U can go up to the office. I'm sure someone is there to take payments. Or have your attorney contact them. Lastly, I would call the court to tell them the situation.

One thing I don't get about probation is, we are not allowed to have a police scanner when on probation. I don't see anything wrong with that, so I refuse to get read of them! It is a probation rule, not a court order or a part of my sentence! So that should not be a violation

I got my 3rd degree felony assault case dismissed they took me off house arrest but they didn’t remove me off probation and I checked my docket and it seems they didn’t file a discharge of probation is that how I’m still on probation even tho my case is dismissed?
This is all ok and all but when you test positive for something you didn’t take how do you prove that? Yet you test negative for the rest of the week (2x) and then so on.

First time dui and offense. PO is violating me because I haven’t been to the AA classes since February. Finished community service hours. And I’ve been consistent with the scram tether. But I missed the court AA class. And missed this month’s payment 😕 did a AA class this past Saturday and gonna pay my missed monthly payment tomorrow. And do another AA class NEXT Saturday. I have 11 months left and I actually maxed out my time on my bid.. so if I smoke can they just violate me and I’ll do parole time ? They can’t make me do the jail time being that my sentence is maxed out? Good news is the judge will likely consider the fact that you've done well for almost 6 yrs. What state are u in? Different states handle revocations a bit differently
