Was there any studies done before removal on flood risk ?? What happens if there's a heavier rainy season , or if there's lots of snowfall in winter and higher temperatures in early spring bring faster melt rates ????

This project has been in the planning for over 25 years. Many, many, many studies have been done relating to flooding.
The fact is these dams were designed and operated to produce hydropower. they provided absolutely no flood protection! in fact the dams had to be completely full in order for the turbines to spin. Tell me, how much flood protection does a completely full reservoir behind 110 year old dam provided?
